Accidentally conceiving from withdrawal method?

Is this so rare as to be not worth the worry? Has it happened to anyone?

I ask because DH and I did this 4 days ago, on the day I was ovulating, and now I'm feeling rather paranoid that I'm pregnant. My symptoms are sore breasts and lots of gloopy discharge, something - eek!- I think I recall from my first pregnancy. Ejaculation was definitely outside the vagina but I know the other fluid emitted before can sometimes contain sperm.

I've got a 5 month old son and we definitely wanted to wait a little longer before another one! I know, dumb not to use contraception, particularly on the ovulation day, but it was actually only the 2nd time we've had penetrative sex since I gave birth due to me not feeling like it, so it all happened a little unexpectedly.

I know I'm probably worrying for nothing, and TBH I personally wouldn't be devasted if I was pregnant, but I know DH would be terrified.

We had our little girl in 2015 since then I have been on no contraception and nothing has happened. My partner and I have separated and I rekindled with an ex recently and have a few questions, sorry for the TMI , we had sex twice one night with the pull out method and once the next night same method. My last period started on 28th Feb, it's usually the 1 of the month I've been looking up that I would be fertile the 8th and 9th and ovulate on the 12th I had sex in the 8th and 8th would the pull out have been effective ? We have spoken about it and feel we would both be happy if I was and is there anyway to increase the chances of it happening as it was a fertile window but not ovulation day ? We live far apart so it's not easy to do the obvious and have more sex .

suzywong - sorry I forgot to rely to your question about breastfeeding. No, I'm not - I stopped after about 10 weeks and I've had two periods before this one is due (I think)

Melsy, I have 4 days til I'm due so we're about the same. Have you got any symptoms though? It didn't even occur to me that I might be pregnant until I started feeling symptoms around 4dpo.

I'm getting worried again too (sorry to hi-jack your'e good news thread Celandine) but I haven't got my AF back yet and am BF all the time.

Melsy, I was going to write a reassuring post telling you not to worry, but considering my assumed situation (and all the other posts on this thread) I won't really stop you worrying.

I guess it depends on so many things: how fertile you are, your dh's sperm, how close to ovulation. I'm so sorry to panic you though. Hopefully you will get the outcome you want

Melsy it's just that we all seem to have got horny 4 months after the babies were born and hadf quickies without protection.
Have a look at the beginning of this thread.

Melsy, my dh didn't even ejaculate until a few minutes AFTER he'd withdrawn, so I really am stunned about how it happened. Saying that of course we did do it on my ovulation day, if I've charted correctly. I had bad ov pains on, before and after that day. We also did it 5 days before ov day, but dh didn't ever ejac, even when he pulled out so I'm kind of discounting that session for some reason.

If I really am pregnant (see my other thread on test changing from neg to pos) I am truly stunned at how careful people should be.

Are you sure they are not ovulation symptoms. I had the same symptoms before my naughty episode on your other thread.I never got them before baby around ovulation.

Sorry everyone - I've somehow got two threads going now, which is very greedy of me. I shall have to drop one, just can't decide which!

The facts are that I've taken a test which came out negative yesterday and now it's positive cos a faint pink line has appeared.

I feel pregnant and am sure I am, have actually convinced myself I am but have jumped the gun a bit by announcing I am Sorry - I'm too revved up. I'll let you all know when I'm 100% sure.

God this has got me worried. Dh and I did IT!! for the first time since before preggers and we didnt put the condom on straight away UH OH. I had even written on here about SEVERE ovulation pain the day before at bout 16 days into cycle, but I got extremely turned on for first time in a long time and didnt think. I am going to be sooooo worried whilst waiting for period. ShT ShT ShT ShT Sh*T. DD is only 4 months and I had TERRIBLE birth. Really really really worried now. Didnt want 2nd one till nxt year.
