Old Fred here

Here we go Brookers, it's been a long year with lots of BFPs and newborn snuggles for the Brookers. We're just a sleigh-ride away from 2013, when the rest of us will get our get our 12 week scans (because of course we will all have BFPs under the christmas tree this year!)

So come all ye brookers, it's tinsel and baubels all the way!

Is it too early for me to be hitting the gin, brookers? I have just been chased out of weight watchers by a very young squalling baby. Lovely MrG took one look at my face and said 'let's not stay for the talk eh?'. Thankfully he could see that I'm not really in the right mindframe to be dealing with other people's newborns right now.

cartoontrickster · 15/01/2013 17:36

I know I shouldnt complain just feeling a bit stressed with it all and it just feels so long until we'll find out how things are going. cups I wouldn't be able to inject myself either I was do relieved that I didn't need that. the treatment plan for v.high nk cells can include a daily injection. so if I end up needing that it will be added to dh's dutys! not sure I could do all this if it was the other way around!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 15/01/2013 15:51

Oh Cups lovely. AF s a bitch. And why do announcements always come at the same time? MrMaybes friend announced during my last AF. You will get your baby. I am so sure of that. We all will. Accu is great or relaxing. And I found it helped with period pains too. Though my last one was a bitch, but i haven't been accu for months! The pups just had his first run since new year as he managed to somehow catch kennel cough. He was a loon.

Face you poor thing. But bless your DH. That's love that is.

Keep no symptoms is most definitely a symptom.

Well, I rang the clinic. No knowledge of me. The lovely lady I spoke to is going to chase up for me though. I have faith in this new clinic which is a good thing! I just went for a run. It's so bloody cold. I wouldn't be surprised if I lost my toes to frostbite Grin

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 15/01/2013 15:18

Thanks everyone, I do feel a bit better now. It's official brookers are the best Smile
Cartoon your little bean is certainly putting you and DH through the mill. It's so sweet your DH is helping like that. I think I would be able to do the suppositories myself but I've tried to inject myself before & been unable to. I'm going to have to get DH to do that when we go for IVF, he is already dreading it as he says ill be correcting his technique and bossing him about!

I'm having really bad period pains, I'm lying on the sofa watching tv. I'm feeling guilty though as I've only taken the dog out for 5 mins as I felt so rough. She is getting really restless so I'm going to have to force myself out soon.

I guess it's time I book some acupuncture. I've been putting it off hoping for a last minute BFP.

cartoontrickster · 15/01/2013 15:04

keep I know bless him! I really can't bring myself to do it though its awful! slightly worried about getting 2 up there!
sorry your feeling rubbish cups its always hard to hear that news. Wine Wine treat your self tonite have a nice evening with your favorite food etc or go out or something to take your mind off it. I'm tempted to after getting in such a state earlier.

keepitgoing · 15/01/2013 15:00

Love, not live...

keepitgoing · 15/01/2013 15:00

face, that's live from your dh, not sure I'd let mine do that... I'm glad your clinic are so on the ball. You did the right thing to mention it. My body hates being pregnant so much it won't even do the first step... ;)

ControlGeek · 15/01/2013 13:20

cup lovely (((hugs))) bloody AF It's ok to feel low, we're here to pick up the brooking mantle if you need a break. Your time will definitely, definitely come my lovely. Hope you can talk to DH soon about the announcement, sometimes it helps not to have to keep these things to ourselves.

cartoontrickster · 15/01/2013 12:33

I have to have 2 cyclogest pessaries a day now cos of the Brown cm. which was such an insignificant amount I almost wish I hadn't mentioned it. obviously I want to do all I can to make this work but good grief I didn't even know u could use 2 at once! Sad I make such a fuss of having one (i have to have it it the back door) dh has to do itBlush why oh why does my body hate being pregnant. I'm feel less positive each day.

SweetieTime · 15/01/2013 12:29

Aw cup so sorry to hear you are feeling so low. We have all been there and it is always made worse when someone close announces unplanned pregnancy. Just be kind to you. Now you are on the list for assistance your time will come. Age is so on your side, you are still a young wipper snapper.

I feel less stressed now knowing we won't be able to do it ourselves without intervention. It has weirdly taken the pressure off. We have gone back to our pre ttc days when I don't obsess about dtd on certain days and if the window is missed then my world caves in.

Cleo eod should be plenty until the weekend and gives the swimmers time to regroup Wink

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 15/01/2013 12:26

Thanks Keep I know your right. My friend knows, she has been sympathetic and made sure to tell me before she goes public which is really good of her. However it was the result of a random night so was very unexpected. They are both happy about it which is great. It's very hard to take though that its so easy for some people to get pregnant.

keepitgoing · 15/01/2013 12:18

I have spots too...

cleo sounds like you've dtd perfectly, just keep at it, as cup said. There's a theory dtd too much depletes swimmers, so you're better to do eod until just before ov, which is what you've done!

cup, I know what you mean about not feeling it'll happen. But listen, it may not happen naturally. I think we're all moving towards accepting that. But it Will happen. You've not even started on the assisted conception path yet. People get pregnant with huge issues, you have none identified so its likely something small. Ivf may be a sledgehammer to crack a nut, as I've read elsewhere. But who the hello cares. You'll get your baby, your babies. You will, you will, you WILL. This period sucks, but it will so be worth it. You'll feel better once you start treatment and have a plan.

You will NOT give up. I know how exhausting it is, but you'll get there, and you won't care how. Plus it'll be good practice for an exhausting Assisted Brooking Baby.

We're in this together. Did your friend know your ttc? Must be extra hard with an unplanned baby. Grrr.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 15/01/2013 12:04

Sweetie I get spots with AF just to add insult to injury! I really sympathise. I always feel hideous and want to hide away. I hope they clear up soon. Are you still waiting for AF to turn up?

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 15/01/2013 11:58

Ha! Beedle 18 weeks you say?! I've not had a scan since my HSG in August so that makes me 6 months. It's been an uneventful pregnancy so far. No sickness or other symptoms to note Grin

Cleo when you get a peak on an opk you ovulate between 12-36 hours later so it may not be too early to get your peak. It sounds like you have dtd plenty so far so don't worry! My only advice would be to still dtd every 2-3 days as a positive opk does not guarantee ovulation. Ovulation can be delayed for lots of reasons. In the past I have stopped dtd after a peak and my period has been really late as ovulation must have been delayed for some reason.

I'm feeling very low today Brookers, last night a friend told me she is pregnant. It's very unplanned. I had a very strange reaction in the sense that I felt such sad acceptance. I didn't feel jealous, I felt like it is something I will never experience. DH is away with work and AF arrived this morning. I haven't told him yet (it's a mutual friend) as he's got an important meeting so I don't want to upset him. I feel like stopping ttc as I can't take anymore. At least if we are not ttc I will not have the stupid hope that we might get a miracle. Right anyone around to beat some sense into me Blush

MotherOfCleo · 15/01/2013 11:31

Ok, you ladies are the font of all knowledge and I need to drink from the font. I've been doing OPKs since sat which was CD10, now on CD13 and I have got a positive OPK, I wasn't expecting a positive till tomorrow or Thursday

SweetieTime · 15/01/2013 11:29

Is getting stroppy with fellow brookers a new symptom to add to the list keep? Wink just saying Wink

Am popping in with a bag on my head to hide the worst spots I have EVER seen Sad They are all along my jaw both sides and under my chin. Must be the hormones, suppose I should nt complain if that is the only side effect I get but I never get spots Sad

Watched baby makers last night. It was very interesting what happens behind the scenes. And I did shed a tear at the results both positive and negative. I thought it was very good showing the whole roller coaster of emotions everyone goes through

keepitgoing · 15/01/2013 11:14

You so phat I can see you from Thailand!! Your baby'll be bigger even than toddlyboo!

Dear smegs, she gives us all hope!

cartoontrickster · 15/01/2013 11:00

let's hope so keep seems to have stopped touchwood and if smegs can have a full blown period well that gives us all hope.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 15/01/2013 10:38

Keep are you saying I look fat???? Wink :o

keepitgoing · 15/01/2013 10:36

You thought it was Christmas fat, but its pregnant fat!! :)

keepitgoing · 15/01/2013 10:36

Nice one, then you can fit between sparks and boo!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 15/01/2013 10:11

me me me I'll be unknowingly pregnant - I haven't had a scan since my HSG in Oct so assuming I've done a smegs I reckon I'm about 18 weeks :o

keepitgoing · 15/01/2013 09:48

Oh face don't panic, I hear that is totally normal. Hang in there.

keepitgoing · 15/01/2013 09:46

Unless someone is unknowingly pg
Although not me, as was scanned twice in the last week.. :)

cartoontrickster · 15/01/2013 09:39

wish I could keep but that came from my dad so don't really say that I know Confused oh well! Im gunna wait till I've had my scan in 2 wks then I may go and say a cautious hello over on the other thread. I had a v.v small tinge of Browny blood this morning when I wiped. hopefully its not a sign of worse to come.
