Old Fred here

Here we go Brookers, it's been a long year with lots of BFPs and newborn snuggles for the Brookers. We're just a sleigh-ride away from 2013, when the rest of us will get our get our 12 week scans (because of course we will all have BFPs under the christmas tree this year!)

So come all ye brookers, it's tinsel and baubels all the way!

oh how lovely a dog walk in the snow! how annoying about af sweetie never comes when you want her! how long should the meds take to work?

SweetieTime · 14/01/2013 10:22

cartoon I am also frequently knicker checking as I have been taking meds for a week which are supposed to bring on af. No sign yet. I am sure your, ahem, dampness is totally normal

keep how are you feeling? Any symptoms to report? You know how we all love a symptom Wink

Nothing much to report here, just waiting for af and drinking loads of water to counteract hormone drugs side effects. Oh and it is snowing here so dh said he will finish work early so we can take pup for a walk in the snow - - yes he does act like a ten year old Grin - -

cartoontrickster · 14/01/2013 10:13

I keep panicing and rushing to the loo cos I feel erm damp (sorry) but just seem to have an excess of cm!

keepitgoing · 14/01/2013 10:05

Any news on appointments from others? beedle maybe cups geek?

NewYearNewBoo · 13/01/2013 12:45

Yy to dream symptoms, I posted about a dream I had where I had given birth to a lovely little girl and the brookers were the mw's 3 or 4 days before mw BFP! I think it was Maybe who said it was a Diffed dream

Ooh we need to add dreams to the 2ww symptom spotting list!!

Withalittlesparkle · 13/01/2013 12:35

Dreams are def symptoms!!

cartoontrickster · 13/01/2013 12:33

god see I've not been around many babies I've not got a clue! I guess actually the dream is a symptom then, good! scans on the 30th.

Withalittlesparkle · 13/01/2013 11:14

Face Ive had some weird and wacky dreams, especially since getting pregnant, last night I was crying and talking in my sleep, apparently I was really upset because I didnt know how to dress a baby and was concerned they were going to take it off me!! I've got 2 neices and 2 nephews, all of which Ive helped dress from a young age, so not relly a skill Im actually concerned about, but it still made my hysterical last night!!!!

When are you having your scan?

cartoontrickster · 13/01/2013 10:16

I've been trying to tell myself its just a dream not a premonition and put it out of my head. ill look forward to 'those' dreams then boo

NewYearNewBoo · 13/01/2013 09:42

Oh Face don't worry, like Sparks said worrying is totally normal, also vivid dreams are another side effect of the hormonal roller coaster you are on the sex dreams are the best though I know it's hard though.

Withalittlesparkle · 13/01/2013 08:49

face it's totally natural for you to be worried! Just take every day as it comes!!

cartoontrickster · 13/01/2013 07:48

I've had the most awful dreamSad
we went for the scan and it was bad newsSad then they said it was best not to try again as my k cells were too bad Sad Sad . it seemed so real. just had a massive cry.

keepitgoing · 13/01/2013 02:29

Hi girlies!! I too cannot believe the triple whammiers are next! I hope you all sneeze together. Is due dates all the same?

cup I've not heard of any WW here, but then haven't been looking. Thai people are almost never fat, they tell you it's from the heat and spicy food, so can't imagine they'd do WW, but there are quite a lot of expats in bangkok (will she be here?) So there's probably something.

sweetie that's amazing potential news about the cost! You've not technically started your cycle yet, in my opinion. I hope they are reasonable, and if you've not signed anything with the costs I think you should be OK. You can spend that 2k on baby stuff!

geek you will of course be successful in cycle one or two. But if not you will have plenty of cheap frosties for a cheap third cycle, or second baby!! Grin

Dh is excited this cycle. Normally over the last year he's not. Tbh I'm finding it lovely, but also worrying, as iui success rates are so low. I don't want to put him off though but it'll be hard to deal with his disappointment as well as my own.

Happy Sunday! We are going for a picnic in the park!

RubberBullets · 11/01/2013 22:40

I'm pretty sure that you three have only been pregnant a couple of months so there is no way you are due next month

BartletForTeamGB · 11/01/2013 22:19

We are all 34/40 now, so could be 3 weeks, could be 8...

NewYearNewBoo · 11/01/2013 22:07

I know Sweetie I think there are a few weeks to go for them but yeah, they are next, then ..........................................................................Froot Wink after those 4 it's my turn Hmm

SweetieTime · 11/01/2013 22:03

Can't believe it, doesn't seem 2mins since that historic day. Boo who would be after them? Wink Wink

NewYearNewBoo · 11/01/2013 21:47

You will never believe who's next to sneeze, only the tripe whammiers Shock

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/01/2013 21:35

Best news!

NewYearNewBoo · 11/01/2013 20:35

News over on grads Grin

NewYearNewBoo · 11/01/2013 15:25

Anyone who needs to embarrass a brooking baby assisted or ironic just ask, according to teen boo there has never been a more embarrassing mother than me Grin

I have also started watching death I'm paradise again, it is one of my ironing programmes :):)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/01/2013 15:19

Ooooooh I love Death in Paradise Solars!!

I love being inappropriate. I aim to embarrass my Assisted Brooking Babies no end Grin

Solars · 11/01/2013 15:13

Oops sorry for Shock ing you all...DH and I often have this conversation now where we think we are old enough to get away with saying all sorts, you know like grandparents saying really shocking things, my gran used to come out with some real shockers. Perhaps we need to actually be grandparents and actually look like a grandparent before we go down that road Hmm however 2 of my nieces call me grandma because I refuse to dye my white hairs, both their mums who are older than me do, but I really can't be bothered with all that faff just yet. I'd also love to be that inappropriate aunt who hugs their nieces & nephews in their ample bosoms and smother them with slobbery kisses but I just don't have the ample bosom and it's usually them who give me slobbery kisses! I only just about get away with ruffling my 16 year old nephews carefully coiffured, gelled hair!!

Keep eeek, exciting times, looking forward to you confirmation in 2 weeks time! We're also looking at ivf being a 3 maybe 4 cycle lottery process. One cycle at a time though. How are you coping being a lady of leisure now?

Sweetie that is great news re a £2k reduction, if they've not given you a guide price/quote and you've not technically started your cycle then I would have thought the new price is what they should be charging you. That is a substantial saving, brooking!

I am laughing at all your ttc/pregnancy conversations with your DH's, alas, I think my DH probably knows more than me!

The whole gender thing makes my blood boil too.

I have a dirty wedding saree, but my excuse is we were out the country not long after our wedding for a year and the saree is still at my parents house Blush

By the way is anyone watching 'Death in Paradise'? The beautiful sunny setting is distracting me away from the cold at least!

SweetieTime · 11/01/2013 14:39

I still don't really get how 16 year olds get diffed so much easier as surely they still only have one egg. Does it just live longer? I just don't understand - anyone?

Well might be exciting news as just looking at my clinic website and prices have changed from 1st Jan. The treatment we are having has gone down £2kShock Shock Do you think we will be eligible for the reduced price as we have only had initial consultation and paid donor registration fee so far. We have to pay package cost when we sign and get drugs. We haven't done this yet, but are we considered as started our treatment. I hope we can get the reduced fee!!
