Your right though, if you ovulated 3 days ago you would be going through implantation ATM which shouldn't result in a bfp pg test.

kbaby from what I've read before, I could be wrong, you can get more than one rise in LH (ovulation hormone thing). So although cbfm says ovu on day 23 you could have ovulated before then. If you have been dtd since AF finished then you could have quite possibly ovulated and caught it before cbfm gave you a +

Hi I hope some one can help me :-) I've been trying to conceive for 4 months I previously had a blighted ovum, so it's been scary.
Well to cut a long story short the last month I thought to my self go hard lol give it your all I pumped me and him with vitamins and brought the cbfm.
So finally got my positive on day 23 but I have a 28 day cycle do was upsetting as I figured that I don't have a long lutel phase do was driving today and felt a tingle in my breasts, come home tested and got a bfp I'm so scared and happy. But how and when did I fall pregnant?? Surely I test wouldn't show this early I only ovulated 3 days ago according to the cbfm. Slightly confused but over the moon. If some one could help me I'd b grateful xxx

Yes, this will be first month TTC, day1 of AF Sunday so will probably ov about 22nd ish, could be a lot of surreptitious shenanigans at my parents over Christmas!

With my last pg because I was poorly with HG she knew from very early on. We took her to the 12 week scan as we suspected nothing. (I'd had an early scan at 7 weeks as I was admitted with HG) at the early scan you could see a strong hb.

Therefore we had to explain that the baby wasn't strong enough so it isn't in mummy's tummy anymore. We always say things like "when we have a baby..." And she will one day. She's already said she's not doing Nappies!!

Really sorry for your loss ninjasquirrel - can't imagine what that must be like. I think when it comes to age gaps, hopefully our firsts will be delighted with a sibling no matter how old they are. They just wouldn't know any better :-)

Linda - I've never had a coil so I wouldn't know but heard of a lot of people falling PG straight away after removal for some reason - hope you'll be lucky too.

Hayle - Just wondering, has your DD mentioned that she would like a sibling? Always interested in what you would say to that.. Mine is too little to be asking, but it may well take a very long time and perhaps he would start to wonder.

@CrackerJackShack : hmm ... I guess its too early for you to take HPT. I would advice wait for at least 1.5 weeks to take a test. But again sometimes, tests are also not that effective as much blood tests are. All the best ... Hope you get a good news soon.

Sorry for your loss. And thanks for your patience... also for suggesting .... Yeah i will soon be seeing my doctor. I am 12 days away from my last period and am experiencing menstrual cramps .... though no bleeding or spotting as of now. Still feeling nausea and tired ... also dizzy. Let me see if my Gyn helps me out.

Sorry that doesn't make sense. I had an mc in June and should be 38 weeks ATM. Meaning dd would have been almost four when baby was due.

ninja so sorry to hear about your mc. My dd would have been 3.10 when it was due (2weeks away) and I haven't got my bfp yet so my gap will be almost 5 years.

Hello everyone

New here and feeling a little bit inappropriate as I'm not ttc yet - I found out yesterday that my 12 week foetus is not going to make it after all. So I'll be joining properly in a few weeks, all over again, and today I want to think about that rather than what might have been. I've been feeling worried that a 4year+ age gap with DS will be too much, but Padster has reminded me that families come in all shapes and sizes.

Pearl, I think you should go and see your doctor again. CrackerJack, sorry you're feeling sad today.

I decided in the early hours of this morning when I couldn't sleep that yes I want to ttc #2.

Ds is almost 14 months - we spent the first year saying he would be an only but now both want to try for another! Took more than 18 mnths to get bfp first time so not entirely convinced we'll end up with another child but definitely want to try.

I took my mini pill last night but also had AF on 7th...I missed a couple of pills but think that would've been the time I was due anyway and I know people still bleed for the first couple of months on this pill. So basically I have no idea where I am in my cycle! I'm going to stick to the every other day method to start - dh will be thrilled

Just read up on getting the coil removed aswell and it says you can still ovulate when your meant to after getting it removed even if your bleeding and I was due to ovulate last Mon/tue when I got it out, so confused, we bd'd the night before removal and twice this week so far so hopefully I've got it covered
