I hope nobody else has started a May conception thread; April isn't going to be it for me, so onwards and forwards ladies!

WannaBe - I can't believe it. I feel really shocked for you...I was so sure.
Sad
You kept implying that you suspected it was a bfn but I think we were all willing it to be a positive so much for you.
(((((hugs)))))

morning all :)

hope you're doing well, peachy sorry to hear that you're feeling a bit unattractive atm tell dh to get his act together, lol.

Well, it was cd48 this morning, and .. af arrived. only 20 days late, lol something of a record for me. In reality this is actually a bit of a relief for me, as because the pg tests were all bfn I had started to worry that there was something more serious wrong with me. But tbh I think this month's experience has drawn a line under ttc for me and it's time for me to cut my losses and accept things the way they are. I can't go through this every month, it would have been one thing if my cycles were painfully regular and I came on every month at around about the same time, and they were just that until approx three months ago, but the past 4 cycles have become longer and longer, to the extent this month where I was 99% sure that I was pg because of how long the cycle was, and have now turned out not to be. There comes a time where one has to accept that things don't always turn out the way we wanted, and although I feel very sad that I won't fall pregnant and have another baby, I know that I have so much to be thankful for. I have a dh who loves me, a beautiful ds, I have been able to experience motherhood and all the joy that that can bring. Now that my ds is growing up I can hopefully continue with my studies and ultimately gain my counselling diploma and will then hopefully be able to use those skills to help others. Who knows maybe I'll even record that album I've been going on about :O.

I wish everyone on here the best of luck with ttc, I've met some lovely people on here and I will of course still be around on mn and will keep a close watchful eye on these threads, because there are still lots of potential bfp's out there.

Take care all and never forget to smile :)

((hugs))) xx

HURRAH - I have finally managed to get to add a message!!!
I will copy and paste the main bit of what I wrote before - sorry I had to start a new converstaion because I was getting soooo frustrated cos I wanted to leave you a post and couldn't do it. Angry

I know EXACTLY how you feel. The more you initiate the more obvious it is and then they get 'put off' by the pressure and then you feel yucky and then you argue and then you are hardly likely to get pg......can you tell that I've been there??!!
It also always seems that they are keen at the wrong time of the month - or is that just my dh?!!

If you can't rant on here - where can you?
I wish I knew about MN when I was ttc before - I would have had ALOT of venting posts!!

peachygirl · 05/05/2006 23:04

Yeah he is aware because I have temped for quite a while and I was so determimed to give it a good go this month I have pushed for a bit more sex (we don't usually have lots- sorry this is turning into peachy tells all) which was all obviously at the wrong time of the month! Dh has groaned reluctantly every time I have begun 'things' whiah obviously has made me feel really wanted and attractive. .. sorry for mini rant

coggy · 05/05/2006 22:59

Sorry - got to go....dh is making sleeping sounds and as I am on CD11 I really ought to go!! Grin

coggy · 05/05/2006 22:57

I know what you mean. It's just the time that you don't want to argue but the pressure makes it so easy.
Does your dh like to know when 'the time' is or does he feel under pressure?

peachygirl · 05/05/2006 22:51

19 and I got an egg on my person machine yesterday and today but me and Dh had a big row about him being tired yesterday. So good ness knows whats going to happen. this has been a strange cycle I don't normally ov this late and last month I oved much earlier and some of the other signs (cm) have not ben so obvious.
Thos may become anothet in the long line of months where Peachy + DH are faffing around and nothing constructive is happening.
How about you? how's the clomid

coggy · 05/05/2006 22:47

What CD are you then Peachy if you're up watching JR and not bding??!!!

peachygirl · 05/05/2006 22:44

yeah the laptop is a new thing though.

coggy · 05/05/2006 22:43

Are you broadband? I really need to be coz my phone bill is going to be HUGE this month!! Shock

coggy · 05/05/2006 22:40

Peachy that is exactly how I feel.
You can be over cautious and then worry about things (having said that I would be most upset if someone took my advice and something went wrong) but for me personally..you just have to go with it...whatever happens is for a reason - although it's sometimes hard to understand why.

peachygirl · 05/05/2006 22:39

I've just realised I can do thi aon the lap top downstairs hooray JR and mumsnet!

peachygirl · 05/05/2006 22:37

It can be bad if you are PG and the one teacher in schoool who is, is having a bit of time off ( probably panicking a bit IMO and taking abit more time than necessary)
I've looked it up and although I'm going to be really miffed if I get it, I'm not letting it worry me. The list of things like that can be endless.

coggy · 05/05/2006 22:36

fell pg... not feel (don't feel pg cos I'm not!!)

coggy · 05/05/2006 22:35

Pussycat - in answer to your question (quite a while ago now!!) I am 34 and so is dh. We have been ttc since June 05.
It took us nearly 5 years to get our first pregnancy. So now I am clomid again (feel pg after taking that before for three months).
You?

coggy · 05/05/2006 22:32

I think I read before that you had a 'slapped cheek' thing going round. Bad for ttc I think isn't it?
When I was pg we had LOADS of children with chicken pox and stuff - I think if you teach there's always some dreaded disease to avoid.

peachygirl · 05/05/2006 22:30

10:35 I think

coggy · 05/05/2006 22:29

No worries - my computer was on a painful 'go slow' anyway Pussycat!

pussycatmomma · 05/05/2006 22:28

hiya you two, are you still both around? not sure what time jross is on peachy but i might just be off to watch it myself!
how are you coggy? sorry didnt get a chance to chat before

peachygirl · 05/05/2006 22:28

not too bad, children dropping like flies with 'slapped cheek symdrome' two parties and out in the minibus this morning! .. life in special needs ahhhh

coggy · 05/05/2006 22:27

Working tomorrow (my other job!) but yes, I still love the weekend!
How's your week been?

peachygirl · 05/05/2006 22:24

Hi coggy how are you? Glad it's the weekend?
