I hope nobody else has started a May conception thread; April isn't going to be it for me, so onwards and forwards ladies!

Hi hopecat I had a 35 day cycle last month so will test hopfully after the 8th of may, had my niggiling cramps but they have gone now and I feel pretty normal the only symptom I have now is a shooting pain in my boobies if that is a symptom.

Afternoon. Mad busy day today, and it's hard, as I feel knackered and spaced out. Still got niggling cramps, and now very faint nausea too. Also sore nips.

Feel just like last month, in fact, only more so and earlier.

Skerriesmum: I'm not testing till May 5th either (if I get that far). How about lotta & mummytojake?

Coggy: implantation bleeds only happen to a minority of women, so you can look out for them, but you're definitely not out of the game if they dont happen. None of my friends with kids had them.

Wannabe, how you doing today? Any changes?

TuttiFrutti · 25/04/2006 09:47

Well I am now well and truly ttc, as of last night!!! Only on day 9 though, and I don't have high hopes for this month as dh is away between days 11-17. Terrible timing, but you can hardly cancel a business trip because you are trying to have a baby!

Have posted on a different thread about ovulation and I now know it can happen outside the core middle cycle, so will start temping from today and see what it tells me. I feel really excited but am trying not to be.

wannaBe1974 · 25/04/2006 06:41

Morning all

Lol how sad am I up and posting at 6:00 in the morning? Truth is that dh left his keys when he went out and rang the bell so he could get them. Needs his keys as has some secure thing on them that gives him a code to log into his computers at work – dunnow how it works but he can’t log in without it. So as I had got up I thought I’d pop online J.

Klou I think your situation is all too familiar. I tried for 13 months before I fell pg with ds, and it’s already 11 months this time round. Didn’t have any m/c’s though so definitely started to lose heart after some months of trying. Never went in for temp charting or ovulation prediction though, even though I bought an isisscope this time round but it’s still in the box and unused.

I think that dh’s feel it more because once they manage to get you pregnant their work is done so to speak. I think it’s all too familiar to see posts on here saying that “dh think he’s just a sperm doner”, and I think that we can often become more insensitive at the time when we want a baby, and aim to get pregnant without thinking that we’re trampling all over our dh’s in the process. And I think that sex so often becomes a chore then, and then it’s important to put things back in perspective.

If the spontaneity has gone out of your sex life, then put it back, remember, the baby you are meant to have is in there, he/she will be made when he/she is ready. I know I’ve said this so many times before but it’s true. If you have a loving relationship, then chances are you’ll make love often anyway, so you aren’t reducing your chances of conceiving because you’re not dragging him to bed every night, cook a romantic dinner, suggest going to bed early, lie there and talk about your days, and let nature take it’s course, don’t have sex, make love.

klou · 25/04/2006 00:29

pussycatmomma, i am on the same day as you - for me no sign of ovulation! been ttc for 1 yr now, one m/c in december 2005. i am not doing the ov.sticks this month. nor the temping, i just got fed up with it all, so just trying to BD every 2-3 days. i've the problem of a tired husband, he wants a baby as much as me but seems like he is not prepared to put in the hard work - and our sex life is not spontanoius anymore to say the least!!!

coggy · 24/04/2006 21:14

It's hard not to read into things isn't it?
I suddenly went very spotty with achy boobs last month ...but nothing.
Going to try my hardest not to test this month - only 3-4 days left before af due.
Another quick question for anyone who knows...
how common are implantation bleeds and, generally, if you had one with one pregnancy is it likely with another (or just random like everything else seems to be!!)
Thank you - you are all my experts! Grin

trace2 · 24/04/2006 20:55

hi wannbe how are ?? peachy just told me about your thread carnt find it

wannaBe1974 · 24/04/2006 20:54

hiya all:)

yes coggy increased cm can mean pg, it's because the mucous plug starts to form that protects the baby, I remember having loads of it when pg with ds, but thought nothing of it, it's only recently I've read that you do notice it. I also have lots of spots, and I never get those, did break out when pg with ds though, although being very careful not to compare simptoms.thoue, did break out when pg with ds though.

trace2 · 24/04/2006 20:50

and am on day 21 and 6 days ti go

skerriesmum · 24/04/2006 20:49

Yeah, there are quite a few to test: me, mummytojake, laughalot, hopecat, anyone else? Still about 10 days to go!

OP posts:
trace2 · 24/04/2006 20:33

woh a few to test on or same tiime, this thread is getting very luckyGrin

i wont be testing thought, just carnt wait for af to come to take clomid

laughalot · 24/04/2006 19:15

Hi everyone hope your ok im fine just wating now cd20.
Coggy im not much of a expert but increased cm can be a sign of pg.

coggy · 24/04/2006 19:01

Wannabe - is loads of CM around AF time an indication of pg?
I can more or less tell when ov. cm is but have slightly random amounts later on in cycle.
-just read that first sentence back...lots of initials eh?! Grin

mummy2jake · 24/04/2006 18:54

i`m on cd 20 too trying not to get excited as its only our first month of trying its nice that were on the same cd gonna try and wait as long as i can before i test

elliepippamummy · 24/04/2006 18:41

Hi all, does anyone else have a 33 day cycle and on day 15? ttc have dd who is 19 months and had m/c in feb but both times fell pg when not done much baby dancing which is strange. Really hope it works this month as we both wanted a small age gap!

maazaa · 24/04/2006 18:26

Evening y'all. Two friends of mine have become pg by accident! They weren't trying and thought they were being safe! It seems mad that when you don't try, it happens and when you do try, it doesn't....maybe that's part of the problem! It's like when you are single and looking for a fella, it doesn't happen! Still, at least with ttc it's fun trying!!

Thanks Peachy for the site link....will be studying my pants closely!!!! Sorry TMI Grin

wannaBe1974 · 24/04/2006 17:52

yeah peachy I think I will test on Friday - gp will ask if I've tested anyway so might as well test as close to gp apt as poss, then I can give her a definite yes/no answer if that makes sense?

know what you mean about things making you think differently, I think that it's easy to take becoming pregnant for granted, we spend so long trying not to get pregnant, that when it comes to wanting to get pregnant, it's hard to think that there could be something which might prevent us from conceiving.

peachygirl · 24/04/2006 17:46

Hugs to pussycat and to Wannabe.
Wannabe I might be tempeted to try another test in a couple of days. but Nat is right concentrate onfriday rather than owrryong .
Pussy cat your time will come, did you manage to get your DH to go to the doctors?
nothing to report with me bt This month we are going to stop faffing (fave word at mo!!)and just get on with it. My friend has just had a faied IVF attenpt and that and meeting the guy at the conference has given me lots of food for thought and made me>I thin DH has fainally taken it in too that we should just get on with it. On another note I have new contact lenses (never had them before) and I am blinking away here getting used to them
Maazaa the site is\link{http://www.fertilityuk.org\here}I post it a lot. Go to where it says indicators

wannaBe1974 · 24/04/2006 17:19

hiya all can I pop my head around the door?

Pussycat (((hugs))) it will happen for you, just stay positive, and try not to get down. am keeping fingers crossed for all having bfp's this month :).

For anyone who hasn't read my wingeings on other threads, I'm on cd35, no af, horrible taste in mouth, sensitive nipples, yesterday was feeling very nausious but bit better today, shedloads of cm, but tested yesterday and bfn. am totally and utterly stumped as to what could be wrong, but have gp appointment on Friday and will hopefully get some answers then, although will more likely get another blood form and be told to go for a blood test, lol.

And agree with lota on the booking of a holiday - in fact I did post on another topic that there was a market - conception holidays! "where conceiving will happen in this relaxing environment!". as so many people fall pg on holiday.

laughalot · 24/04/2006 15:37

pussycat big hugs to you hunny and remember those hugs are not far away either im only up the road from you Grin. It will happen son just try and relax that is the best way, come and book a holiday with me a mega expensive one then you will end up pg it happens all the time.
