I hope nobody else has started a May conception thread; April isn't going to be it for me, so onwards and forwards ladies!

Not sure, as new to all this mucus business!!!!! Will see tomorrow and hope it lasts until midnight Thursday when DH returns!!!

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 18:16

are you sure it is stretchy? could it be (TMIBlush) leftovers from sex last night? sorry peachy cringes as she types

maazaa · 25/04/2006 18:12

I might just have a glass with my dinner....DH has gone away on business! Which is irritating as (TMI warning) pant examination implies I am getting into the highly fertile time. Which is confusing as I thought I was on Day 8! I give up!!!

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 18:04

mazaa one or two glasses is OK!

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 18:04

hmm pussycat I don't really know, I do know that you can ov without an egg sign I think persona likes the concentrated wee of the early morning. I don't think it can be wrong but it did give me very early eggs in my very first cycle with it and I ususally ov later(although last month it was early again)
I know it measures levels of Hormones
luenizing Hormone and oestrogen Eg3 and I think it is often over cautious with the red days as it is intended for contraception

maazaa · 25/04/2006 17:57

Can sympathise totally! Am head of year at secondary school in cambridgeshire! Glass of wine is medicinal at end of day - have tried to give up mid week wine, but failing miserably! Is a joke, really, as I'm not bothered about a drink at the weekend, so it must be stress related. Am really trying to chill out so in right frame of mind for tcc!

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 17:53

Hi maazaa where are you and which age group?
I'm in croydon and teach yr 1 chidren with SEN - hence the vile day it was like a domino effect one started then they all joined in!
It was so bad that at the end of the day me and my staff scoffed a spare easter egg we have been saving!!!

pussycatmomma · 25/04/2006 17:52

sorry youve had a bad day chick, im sure the visiting dignatrys (sp) understand though, dont worry hun. mmmmmmm, wine!!! ive cut back so much lately, enjoy your glass (or 2!)!!!!!!!! we havent really said anything else about the meetup, it was just an idea trace and i had thats all. You could be just the person i need to talk to though, about egg signs and persona. Do you know if persona can be wrong about the egg sign/ovulation? how does it work exactly, because every other ovulation test says to test later in the day, whereas with your persona you do it with morning wee? am just doing tea for dh, cut the grass and basically being a v.good wife tonight in order to subconciously get him in the mood for bd later! x x x

maazaa · 25/04/2006 17:50

Ahhhh Peachy.....a fellow colleague.....!!!

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 17:42

I'm good, although I've had a terrible day at school, the children have been vile and it was all witnessed by a visiting psychologist!
I'm ready for a big glass of wine later!
How are you? we do seem to have missed each othe recently
is there any movement on the meet up front?

pussycatmomma · 25/04/2006 17:38

peachygirl · 25/04/2006 17:35

pussycatmomma · 25/04/2006 17:33

wannaBe1974 · 25/04/2006 16:30

Hiya Gemma

Basically, yes, I googled this and found

\link{http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/pregnantduringperiod.html\this}

actually pussycat this might explain some of the bleeding you experienced last cycle as well?

hth

wannaBe1974 · 25/04/2006 16:22

hiya pussycat :)

Well, I dunnow about the kitchen floor, lol, but maybe a nice dinner will do it, :O. Try not to worry about different signs on different charts etc, tbh I'd just bin the lot and be done with it, if two means are showing different things then one of them is wrong, although I've been reading up on the net and haven't read very positive things about ovulation microscopes as apparently there are so many things that can influence the result.

Well am seeing gp on Friday, and meanwhile am totally trying to forget about any kinds of simptoms, no point reading anything into anything, if tests are negative then simptoms have to relate to something else right? most likely to the imbalance in my hormones, lol.

gemmaseascout · 25/04/2006 16:16

Hey
can anyone help me?
I wann know if you can ovulate whilst still bleeding. I am on CD19 and am still bleeding. Please help.

sideways · 25/04/2006 15:50

thanks wannabe Smile. Af is normal, so that's not a worry.

laughalot · 25/04/2006 15:20

Pussycat try the kitchen floor that worked for me first time round Grin

pussycatmomma · 25/04/2006 15:08

hi to everyone Smile
just another quickie post from me, am trying not to get too addicted to posting!! v. difficult not to want to share stuff though and get some support Blush
just wanted to say thankyou to Klou for posting, think we are on same day Klou. How are you doing??
Wannabe, so sorry about neg tests babe.....you must wonder what your blummin body is playing at!!! v. frustrating, but you are going to drs soon, yes? Poor you having all signs but then bfn, nature is cruel, why make pgt symptoms so close to those which mean af is on her way??
Quick update on me, cd 12, got egg sign on persona today. am happy about this. we bd so far on cd 7,10,11. So you never know, i might be in with a chance. Gonna convince dh that it is a good time to try tonight too, without mentioning the egg sign on persona at all. Am keeping mouth shut, because the more i go on about it the worse he feels, so i will just try to work a bit of wifely magic without mentioning ovulation, babies or getting pregnant at all tonightWink By the way, i have also been using isiscope, but no ferning patterns at all!! very annoying, glad i am not relying on the stupid spit and check method, although in back of my mind i am now worrying my persona is wrong! Sweet Jesus, caring for a newborn will be a piece of pie compared to all this ttc business!!!!!!! [said in jest emoticon!]
hugs to all x x x x x

wannaBe1974 · 25/04/2006 14:57

Hello sideways and welcome. I don't know much about bf, but do know that it can delay periods, are you having regular periods? if so there shouldn't be any problems with conceiving.

In the grand scheme of things, 3/4 months isn't that long to be ttc, on average it can take a healthy, fertile couple as long as a year to conceive. There are many on here who have been ttc for up to a year and beyond, just relax, and it will happen when it is meant to. Easier said than done I know.

sideways · 25/04/2006 14:12

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me butting in.

I have been ttc since January with no luck. I have a 2.10 yr old who still has one bf at bedtime most nights. I think there is hardly any milk there at all, but wondered if this could be affecting my chances at all - and if so, how much?

I'm 39 btw.

Thanks

wannaBe1974 · 25/04/2006 13:48

hiya all :)

cd36, no af, nothing else to tell really. Not going to test until Friday before gp apt.

Coggy implantation bleeds can happen but they don't happen to everyone. I had a bleed when pg with my DS, in fact I thought it was my af and only thought about it when I fainted two weeks later, something just told me to test, and I remember my DH saying "what for, I ain't paying another bloody 8 quid for a test that's gunna be negative!". I did the test and he read it and he said "so what's it supposed to look like?" to which I replied "one line if not, two lines if pregnant" and he said "well there's two lines?" I was in shock, lol.

Anyway, that bleed is what's made this time so much more difficult, I had very slight bleed on cd28 but it didn't even last a day, and never resembled an af, and that's partly why I'm so unsure as this is similar to what happened with DS. anyway time will tell :)

maazaa · 25/04/2006 13:31

I get sore boobs most months so it will be hard to tell if any when it happens. If my calculations are correct, I am on CD 8 and therefore next week will be my optimum time for conception. Anyone else similar or are you all much further on in the cycle?

Someone brought a baby into work today.....so broody!!!!!

laughalot · 25/04/2006 13:14

Well sometimes I get ache boobs but this is like a shooting pain every now and then

Hopecat · 25/04/2006 12:59

Sore boobs can be a symptom, but then some women get them before their AF. Are they normal for you?

It makes this so much easier having Cycle Buddies. Grin
