I hope nobody else has started a May conception thread; April isn't going to be it for me, so onwards and forwards ladies!

I agree - Ruth to win!!

I am going to BE a twiglet in 100 days (which is now only 95 days actually) but had friends for tea on Sunday and wine last night and thinking about wine tonight....so looking less and less twiglet-like! My resolve is not as it should be!!
Thought I may as well have a few wines before I get to ov. time and then stop for a couple of weeks.
Is that a bad attitude to have do you think?!

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:17

cog, when you say exercise, surely you don't mean actual exercise - doesn't fit the type at all! Hope you are implying mattress aerobics or bedercise..... Otherwise, I will have to get fit, to fit in!!!!! Grin

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:15

Gosh - we must all fit into a personality type! The Apprentice (love! Ruth to win, even though it pains me to say it), House of... (love - despite no kids!), red wine and the fact that you even mention twiglets.....!!!!!!!!! Am no twiglet but LOVE eating them! Am on serious binge mission tonight!

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:13

Thought....and.....would is what I actually meant to say!! Blush

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:12

Bugger! Forgot that was on as well!!!
Dh is at work so a great TV night for me...only popped on here for half-an-hour b't'n The Apprentice and some new diety/new body thing starting at 8:30pm.
Tjough that watching this woulkd help me to become more like my desired twiglet-ness but not if I am going to open the red wine that is lurking in the kitchen...
....and no exercises today yet either......

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:08

I really cannot be bothered with anything tonight! And I thought it was just the fellas who ran out of energy! DH playing footie 8-10, so very happy with House of Tiny Tearaways, red wine and dips!

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:05

Hurrah for the return of LOST!
I love it and quite understand the draw of watching it over other things (even when ttc sometimes!!)

Maybe there lies the problem......

flowertot · 02/05/2006 19:48

If you are ovulating maazaa then get to it girl!! Stick Lost on record and get in some action!
As for me, yes bath and glass wine and magzine I thought. May as well cheer myself up somehow!

maazaa · 02/05/2006 19:38

So flower, what can you do to pamper yourself whilst your dh has his flu? Nice bubble bath, glass of vino and some choc?

maazaa · 02/05/2006 19:37

Doom away - it's good to be grounded. To be honest, I am certain nothing has happened and all symptoms are ovulation - just the first time I've taken any notice of what my body is doing.

peachygirl · 02/05/2006 19:31

its not a symptom I know of but that doesn't mean its not one for you.
I've been a bit of a harbinger of doom about symptoms recently so probably shouldn't say any more

flowertot · 02/05/2006 19:31

Not sure to be honest. Doesn't affect me but I know some people really feel rough during ovulation so could well be making you tired

maazaa · 02/05/2006 19:27

Am very excited about Lost, but am sure it will continue to be frustrating! Incidentally - does anyone know if ovulation can make you super tired? I think I probably feel like this on a regular basis, but never connected it with this time of the month?

peachygirl · 02/05/2006 19:24

LOL I'm quite excited about lost too

maazaa · 02/05/2006 19:24

Sorry ladies, am all talk and no action!

peachygirl · 02/05/2006 19:23

maazaa, thats a bit kinky!

maazaa · 02/05/2006 19:20

Sorry to hear of your man flu, flower. It must be frustrating. Maybe you should don your nurse's outfit and show him your bedside manner, if you know what I mean....!!! Wink On the flipside, I think I ovulated over the last few days but am sooooo tired, I'm only concerned about staying up through the first new episode of "Lost"!

flowertot · 02/05/2006 18:58

Well cd13 today on 28 day cycle and not so D DH has come down with a cold. (serious man flu in this house). Too ill to be dragged from sofa so may get an early night but not the sort I hoped for!
Its so hard to show sympathy when i really feel only disappointment

TuttiFrutti · 02/05/2006 16:42

I'm on day 15 and think I ovulated yesterday but very frustratingly dh is away till tomorrow night, so probably this month is a write-off. We'll have the same situation in July, so will have to really go for it in June!

Hopecat, any news yet???

wannaBe1974 · 02/05/2006 15:39

Agree with lota, in fact had very similar conversation with my gp on Friday. She said that tests claim to be accurate from the day of af but that's generally not the case, but they do it because they know that people will buy the tests and test on the day their af is due, even though they're generally not late.

laughalot · 02/05/2006 15:02

mummytojake dont give up yet pg hormone might not be strong enough to detect it. I am same as you cd 28 however I had a 35 day cycle last month

mummy2jake · 02/05/2006 14:36

hi af due today no real signs thats its on her way as im normally really swell up around belly area feel quite stressed normally no aches or cramps and i normally suffer really bad.

so i did a test this morning not first wee though and it was bfn got the tests from wilkos 2 for 1.99.
should of waited i know oh well suppose just have to try and wait till she shows her ugly face.
hows every doing hope theres some bfps soon

wannaBe1974 · 02/05/2006 12:48

morning all,

well on cd44 today, no af as yet, still simptomatic, but am still convinced I can't be pg as am sure the tests would have been bfp, so really not sure now, just waiting till a week friday to do another test and then will go back to gp. blood tests came back normal so now am really scared of what it could be if I'm not pg.

decafgirl · 02/05/2006 12:03

I'm on CD38 but I have 45 day cycles! I know I ovulated and I know we bd so now I'm just waiting and hoping. I feel hopeful but I'm trying to be realistic to. AF is due a week today so until then I'll be feeling every twinge! DH already thinks I'm mad. Do you think it counts if I came home from the shops yesterday and promptly fell asleep?! It's so not like me! I'm a hardened shopper!

Jenswish · 02/05/2006 11:48

Hey how did I miss this? Did you all start early ! :)

I'm on CD 21 here, no hopes this month tho. :)
