Thanks! The line is there this morning (yes rache I couldn't resist, so much for lofty goals of alternate day checking). It looks a little more visible. Am aware the odds are still v much stacked against it so DH and i are dealing with this with a lot of humour and jokes in case things go south.

MeanMrsMustard · 17/12/2012 06:12

Fingers crossed for you zombies!

AF is due tomorrow for me. Im not optimistic to be honest. I think we dtd too early. Not long to wait though.
I keep on coming up with reasons its better to get a bfn this month. Not sure I'm that convinced yet!

janey1234 · 17/12/2012 02:46

Zombies - my line was sooo pale when I first got my BFP that I think DP and I could only see it because we spent ages studying it! But it got slowly darker day by day. Yeah things could go wrong for either of us (I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and still petrified!) but a line is a line. So - congratulations!Smile

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 17/12/2012 00:22

Nice one rache.
On a different note, I found this v interesting.

Rache1S · 16/12/2012 23:08

30+ is definitely the right time to TTC #1! www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/12/121212162558.htm

Bunnygirlie · 16/12/2012 22:39

I'm still here! Miserable but here (soz had busy weekend).

Zombie not insensitive at all, i'll take all the advice I can get! If we are still TTC after a year I'm sure we'll try anything! Am hoping its just a blip and hubby just has my lurghy and will be up for it next month. He is also going to see his doctors this week and mention the heart palpatations and see if he can get his swimmers checked out too!

Congrats bottlered FX zombie

You can count me out of the festive flurry of BFPs then! DTD once this month and far too early to have been any good. Will be heading to the docs first thing in the new year, she thinks we've been TTC since Feb so said to see her in the new year if it hasn't happened.

My first BFP at 11dpo was very faint Zombies. I don't think you can equate a faint line with a probable CP. I understand your reservation until you get a more definite line - but to be honest it doesn't get much easier to believe with a strong line either!! I tested every day for a week

twinklestar2 · 16/12/2012 21:26

Ooh zombies exciting!!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 16/12/2012 21:26

Nosey away rache!Smile

Rache1S · 16/12/2012 21:09

I totally understand your caution Zombies, BUT A LINE IS A LINE! Woohoo!! Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin
I'm not sure my extreme noseyness anticipation will cope with you POAS every other day, I need to know every day if not twice a day!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 16/12/2012 20:46

It's no more vivid a line than the line in the picture attached to the first post here and apparently this woman had AF the very next day! So assuming a chemical pregnancy in that case.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 16/12/2012 20:43

Hi quod! Trying not to get excited because it's such long odds. Did have a glass of whole milk though today- apparently it helps implantation?
Will probably check day after tomorrow if I'm not naughty tomorrow morning

Quodlibet · 16/12/2012 20:32

Zombies I almost missed that - wow that is exciting! So you will test again tmw or the next day?

twinklestar2 · 16/12/2012 20:23

Another one here whose had a dtd meltdown! Crying whilst legs in the air. Poor hubby!

Quodlibet · 16/12/2012 18:09

Congratulations Bottlered! Fantastic news to finish the weekends.

Bunny - sorry you are feeling low. Dtd meltdowns = been there done that. I can empathise with you. You will get there.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 16/12/2012 17:30

bottlered I'm only about 7-9 DPO by my calculation so I am going to try to test maybe alternate days and see if the line stays. I used a FRER this morning.

BottleRed76 · 16/12/2012 17:25

Thanks everyone. Keeping everything crossed it sticks!

Zombie If it's any help I've used Clear Blue tests with conception indicator 13 days after ovulation a couple of times now and they've been accurate. Don't know what day you're up to but if you're close then it might give you a definite answer.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 16/12/2012 17:06

Congrats bottlered!!
So.
Happened to be up till 4am last night (!) and got carried away in a moment of madness before I went to sleep and POASd. I wasn't sure so checked in the morning with DH. There appears to be a VERY faint line (so faint it cannot be photographed, so faint that I wouldn't have seen it unless I had been looking for it, it's barely there).
At the moment am taking this as a confirmation that metformin worked, that I did ovulate this month, and that the plumbing worked! it is a long shot indeed since I am still 3 days to AF .
Meanwhile AFy symptoms are still there- bit of tummy ache and back ache but no AF yet. We'll see how this goes but fx. At the moment I am not reacting to it and am fully expecting AF to kick in soon Smile

navis176 · 16/12/2012 16:41

bottlered - massive congrats!!

I've just been out for lunch with a bunch of old school acquaintances who seem to have a zillion kids between them - properly depressing [sigh]

captainmoll · 16/12/2012 15:48

Congrats bottlered!! Great news!

Rache1S · 16/12/2012 15:27

Massive congrats BottleRed!!! FX for a Santa sticky one! Xmas Grin

For what it's worth on the turkey baster front, personally I would absolutely be up for giving it a go. I want my DH to be the father of my offspring but I wouldn't care if that happened by shagging, from the end of a self-administered syringe or in a petri dish in an IVF clinic. It's the end result that I want and I wouldn't care how I got it.

MeanMrsMustard · 16/12/2012 14:58

Yay Bottlered! That is fantastic news!

twinklestar2 · 16/12/2012 14:23

Congrats bottlered hope its the start of a few more BFPs!!!

janey1234 · 16/12/2012 14:20

Of bottle red that's amazing news. Mahoosive congrats to you both. Right maybe this is the start of the festive flurry of BFP's we've all been waiting for... Fingers crossed...

BottleRed76 · 16/12/2012 14:05

Zombie I have definitely considered that approach. I'd be OK but not sure OH would be OK with it.

Anyways.... I'm back after a week of radio silence. Really busy and lots of Xmas parties buuuuuuuuutttttt this morning with a bit of a hangover POAS and BFFP!!!!!

Big relief to get pg again but the mc worry has already kicked in. Have started my baby asprin which I'm really hoping makes the difference this time but not getting excited until I get another couple of weeks under my belt.... Worst case scenario, we have a third mc and then I'll get a referral for investigations.

Just to add my tuppence-worth to the conversations I've read on here about when to DTD - this month was only twice! Once on first day CBFM gave the egg symbol and day after! We've had months when we have been a lot more prolific and got absolutely nothing so for all the planning and timing of DTD, it seems to be down to nothing but luck.

Don't want to ginx anything but Est DDate 25th Aug.

Now I'm off to check my knickers for the 100th time today!!
