from what ive read, which is a lot since mc!!

an egg lasts 12-24 hours so try and use ewcm as an indication too.

spermies last up to 5 days (max)

Im not sure about positive opks but i think i got + for 3 days but had very little ewcm so unsure if i actually ovd, which is a problem with these. It can show you your lh surge but not if you actually popped one out. (only used them last cycle so not 100% sure on that one)

if you could fit a quickie in on wed maybe just to be on the safe side?

Anyone, please correct me if im wrong :)

34PinkLadyApple · 13/11/2012 16:32

..and how long will the egg last if i pop one out on say thursday? All guess work as this the first time I used OPK's and I'm on cycle 4. Blush

34PinkLadyApple · 13/11/2012 16:30

IC OPK used today on CD11 and got a positive! DTD on Sunday evening. Am I still in with a chance if we don;t manage it again till say Friday? How long does the positive last? How long does the baby gravy last??

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 16:23

im sop curious as I'm so eager to test.

I have no self contol Blush

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 16:20

ah ha, so you were possible 12dpo on your first cheapie :)

TinkyPeet · 13/11/2012 16:18

Well with all the working out I've been doing I must be an early ov'er, as in with my first Two's dates they were conceived within the first week or so after af left, and last month I didn't fall on but didn't start DTD till my appent fertile days, but this month started on cd 6 as soon as af left, so I'm guessing I ov between cd 8-12, that's when I was getting all the 'signs' of ov this month anyway, was watching out for things to go with my theory lol xx

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 16:18

internet cheapie frog Smile

frogchops · 13/11/2012 16:17

Kick me if i'm being stupid...I probably am but what is an IC??

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 16:00

im presuming you ovu'd around cd14 though Blush

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 15:55

but nothing showed until 14dpo?

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 15:55

so you started them around 6dpo angie?

TinkyPeet · 13/11/2012 15:50

Darker, not Farley lol

TinkyPeet · 13/11/2012 15:40

I used ICs from about cd20, and nothing showed untill a very faint line on the day af was due, and just because I'm a bit wierd and I used the rest up daily for the sake of it and they got Farley by day, with today's being the last one and almost as dark as the control line but still lighter. But it depends on the person I suppose as frer didn't work at all for me xx

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 15:32

i have no idea as this will be my first attempt using them, have always used supermarket own brand. I do however find the OPK ICs very reposonsive. If you have a few then give it a go? but not if you will become disheartened if bfn.

remember, it isnt game over till the witch turns up!

frogchops · 13/11/2012 15:20

What's the odds of any sort of line on an Internet cheapy at 11dpo?

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 15:02

a line is a line ladies!

TinkyPeet · 13/11/2012 14:58

Whoops it was dexi that said "hmmm maybe there is a line!!!"
Fx for you all xxxx

TinkyPeet · 13/11/2012 14:56

jelly (sorry for this) my cm is usually a bit snot-like (oh the joys of being female) so I wouldn't worry about that
Also if your thinking there's a slight line there shine a light behind it, I did this on all of my faint lines and you can see it much clearer, on the first line I got you could only actually see the top and bottom of the line but it helped loads. If you have iPhone get the flashlight app cos it's SO bright, just don't shine it in your eyes first cos can't see ANYTHING then haha!
Someone else mentioned It a while ago so I did it on every stick haha xx

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 14:56

i agree with jolly especially if your testing early. or you would have top severly dehydrate yourself to get concentrated urine.

JollyJock · 13/11/2012 14:51

frog you will get a more accurate reading earlier with FMU. My First Response says something like "You don't have to use FMU, but FMU will contain higher levels of HCG".

So, if I test, should I wait for fmu?

Grannyapple · 13/11/2012 14:02

jelly I get that too...usu about a week before AF. For me it's almost a sign that ovulation window has been & gone. Normally dry for a few days then get discharge when AF is on its way...

In saying that (& apologies in advance if TMI)..I had a teeny bit of that the day before I got my faint bfp. The reason I tested on Friday is because I felt a bit 'moist' so went to the loo & wiped first & had a kinda clump/what can only be described as what looked like a mucus plug, but kinda like phlegm (boak!). I had this last time when I was 5-6 wks pg....& then had thrush continually throughout last pg. So that's what prompted me to test...that & the sense of relief I felt a few nights earlier when taking my bra off at night! Need to cut down on my sugary snacks this time...don't want to end up with poss early labour at 30 wks like last time...

Sorry...bit of a ramble there...

Dexidoo · 13/11/2012 13:58

I should be cleaning and not wasting my day off!!

Dexidoo · 13/11/2012 13:57

I have no personal experience jelly but sure I have read that you can get yellow cm in early pregnancy

JellyCurls · 13/11/2012 13:56
