any opinions ?

cylce 1 bfp nov 16

wavesandsneezes · 13/11/2012 19:57

Hi chocolate - I'll be testing around the same time as you as well - think AF is due 21st, but my cycle is about WTF at the moment. DS and DD were total surprises (now 7 and 8) so this is the first time for me and (lovely new) DH trying the "proper" way.

Intrigued about dishwasher vodka - what with the total lack of DTDing due to horrid chest infection I need everything and anything to cheer myself up

JollyJock · 13/11/2012 19:51

There is a thread going on about dishwasher vodka. It sounds amazing. If I don't get a bfp this month I'm making some Christmas pudding rum to console myself.

Hi there!

QuietNinjaTardis · 13/11/2012 19:31

Hi chocolate.

chocolatesolveseverything · 13/11/2012 19:31

Thanks Hayle - good luck to you!

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 19:27

Welcome chocolate and climb aboard the fertility bus!

You are the same as me with AF due 19/20th :-)

chocolatesolveseverything · 13/11/2012 19:24

Hello!

I'm a newbie, just trying to get my head round the lingo. May I join this bus?

We've been TTC since August, but this is the first month we've paid attention to things like ov, etc. I think I'm 6DPO, and AF is due about 19th/20th. It's like waiting for Christmas! DH keeps knocking on my belly and asking, "is anyine in there?" :-)

QuietNinjaTardis · 13/11/2012 17:35

Good plan. Keep us updated and fx for you this month.

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 17:33

dh would have had another straight away...I dont think so. I felt ready once she was potty trained and more independent.

She will be nearly 5 by the time I pop another, just right for a little helper Smile

QuietNinjaTardis · 13/11/2012 17:32

I'd like them to be close ish together so they can play together. Only planning on 2. Poor ds has a mummy who loses interest very quickly in getting his cars to talk to each other about the same thing over and over.

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 17:27

haha bet he was! DD was a surprise so never had this, as was my last pregnancy, (first 'normal' cycle since coming off depo)

Shes 4 in february so got no chance of a small gap but I dont mind Grin

QuietNinjaTardis · 13/11/2012 17:25

Oh and we don't dtd everyday normally but I really wanted to maximise our chances so we went for it. Dh was away from wed til last sat and didn't get home til 9.30pm. I said oh I dunno if I can be arsed dtd this late I'm knackered. Getting ready for bed at 10 ish, checked, found ewcm and went er actually do you mind if we dtd tonight. Dh was like Grin

QuietNinjaTardis · 13/11/2012 17:23

Sounds good, so fx it ends in a bfp. Only took 3 cycles with ds so I'm really hoping this is our lucky month. Don't want too big an age gap and its just getting bigger and bigger now. Fx for me too Grin

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 17:11

quiet at least if they are pissed they might find their way this month as they havent the last 4 cycles when they have been sober!

We dont dtd everyday as supposidly a build up is good Hmm

i can actually remember when we dtd this month but hoping we hit the jackpot on cd15 when i thought (TMI ALERT) id wet myself Blush

QuietNinjaTardis · 13/11/2012 17:09

Ewcm means your body's getting ready to ovulate as far as I understand so you'll have a few days of it and then once its gone you've ovulated so you're fertile window has ended. I think.

QuietNinjaTardis · 13/11/2012 17:07

Grin at pissed swimmers. That's what I've read. I'm assuming I ovulated yesterday or day before as had ewcm on sat, sun and Monday morning and ovulation pain sun eve and mon morning and some af type cramps mildly this morning. We've dtd sat, sun and mon and having a night off tonight.
This is the first month I've been checking ewcm so hoping that it helps as getting a it fed up now of not getting pregnant!

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 17:00

20/11. Had some ewcm cd9 (bit early but started dtd) had loads cd15 so made an extra special effort although hoping DH's two beers didnt make his swimmers pissed too Grin

Haylebop12 · 13/11/2012 16:58

oooh quiet i didnt know that about ewcm being present to help swimmers. Although I also read that other boddily fluids help its journey up. (dont have to explain that one do I ladies) Grin
I thought that ewcm means you have ovulated so get on it 12-24 hours after....(but it wouldnt still be present then Hmm

hoping my dtd was timed right :/

more dull aches in my pelvis

QuietNinjaTardis · 13/11/2012 16:56

When's your af due haylebop?

QuietNinjaTardis · 13/11/2012 16:55

Ok I've been reading taking charge of your fertility and it says that ewcm is your body gearing up to ovulate. Sperm can survive for up to 5 days in ewcm. When ewcm disappears then you have ovulated. 34pinklady I would say check for ewcm and dtd as often as you can until that disappears. If you dtd Sunday but there's no ewcm then sperm won't survive long enough if you ovulate today or tomoro. At least that's how I understand it. Good luck!
