Morning fellow moshers, how are we all today? jolly your sister sounds very sympathetic... Xmas Hmm

I've just had a job interview and I don't think I did myself justice at all. Mind went blank during the questions, although the presentation I did went quite well. Just waiting for the "thanks but no thanks" phone call.

So I'm 27 weeks today, plodding on. Seeing consultant a week on Tuesday to discuss section. Looking forward to that appointment... Xmas Confused

Jollyb · 07/12/2012 08:51

jaffa hello . Hope you and baby Clara are doing well.

dorita glad things moving forward for you. You know the best way to get pregnant is to book a fertility clinic appointment don't you? I don't know about acupuncture but my friend had a session with a monk and it worked for her!

mrshp enjoy your 2WW

mrsd fingers crossed for you. 3+ on digi definitely a good sign.

Now I need a mini vent. I phoned my usually sympathetic sister yesterday to tell her about the events of the week. Her reaction 'oh dear - I'm really tired too, I've got so much wrapping to do!!'

Glad everything is looking good for you jolly, great news. I had my acupuncture appointment, she said the fertility issue is easier to treat than the migraines! I'll go back a few more times and see if it has any affect. Got my appointment at Liverpool women's fertility clinic on 19th, with a scan to check my tubes etc..on 15th.

Jaffa! I was thinking about you the other day, hello!

mrshp fingers crossed for the 2ww. I'm in it too, can test from tomorrow but going to try and hold out...

JaffaSnaffle · 06/12/2012 19:15

Just popping in because I missed you guys, :)

Hello to everyone. Wishing you all lots of support and success on here. It's a great thread and really helped me through 2 mc. X

pebs you've got my sympathies with the anterior placenta. Mine was this time and it drove me mad. The movements did get stronger, but were always a bit lacking for my liking. One thing that used to help was lying down in a dark room, after ice-cream, with elastic on my bump, you know the bands that they put on you with the sonicade? I asked to take them home! And that slight pressure seemed to help me feel things... But if you are really worried, ring the hospital. I know you are not 28 weeks, which is the kick count time, but they should let you in at 20+ weeks if you are worried about fetal movement.

Mrsd77 · 06/12/2012 18:07

Hi. Doc said what I expected. No guarantees. Red blood not good though can happen in early weeks. I need a scan but havin one anyway next Thursday. Got blood forms for now and in a fortnight to monitor hcg.

Stretchy feelings common particularly post c section. She was nice but I felt like a lunatic.

Also suggested I stay off work til scan. I want to avoid that really. Told her I would play it by ear.

Lovely to hear the good news on this thread. Here's hoping it rubs off!

Jollyb · 06/12/2012 17:55

Ah Mrs HP was wondering how you were doing.

dorita have you had your appointment yet?

Jollyb · 06/12/2012 17:54

pebs and yikes Smile

bella you should be able to see the HB at 6+5.

Plucked up the courage to phone the midwife. She was lovely - very positive 'this is a new pregnancy and this one's going to be fine' (without minimising my history if you get what I mean). Booking appointment just after Xmas. Hopefully this won't be the 4th midwife appointment in a row that I've had to cancel.

Hi everyone, still here. Congrats on all the scans that are going well.

Nothing much to report from me about to embark on the 2ww...

BraveLilBear · 06/12/2012 17:25

Hey Bel I think heartbeats can be picked up from 6 weeks usually. Will have everything crossed for you!

BelissimaLol · 06/12/2012 17:23

What's the earliest a scan can pick up a hb? My next scan is Friday next week and I will be 6+5 hopefully. What should I expect? I feel fine and a lot better since scan on Monday but am already scared!

BraveLilBear · 06/12/2012 17:23

Xmas Grin for Pebs. That is all!

pebspop · 06/12/2012 16:31

scan was fine. midwife came around this morning to listen in before i went to hospital.

booked in for my flu jab. never had one before so i hope it doesn't make me ill.

glad the scan went well yikes

BraveLilBear · 06/12/2012 14:57

Yay for Yikes that all sounds good! Sniggering slightly at thought of keeping legs crossed til middle of January. But that's because I'm being especially peurile today Grin

That's a good sign MrsD hopefully the docs will be able to shed more light on everything. Keep us posted!

Mrsd77 · 06/12/2012 13:16

Thanks Jolly. Will see what doc thinks. I'm trying to be pragmatic about it all. Just poa cbd and got 3+. Pleasantly surprised as best I was hoping for was 2-3 as only 5 weeks today.

YikesHereWeGo · 06/12/2012 12:46

Yay - successful scan today. Baby measured 6w5d and had a good heartbeat. Have booked in for my 12 week scan on 10 Jan. Eek. Will get consultant care too as am 'high risk' so am hoping this baby gets well looked after. Really don't want to have to go back to square one again so am going to keep my legs crossed for the next 5 weeks.

Jollyb · 06/12/2012 12:18

Hope everthing's ok mrsd. Let us know how your trip to the doctors goes. How far along are you ~ ? 5 weeks. If so it wouldn't be unreasonable for you to go to your EPU for a scan.

Little bit of brown 'debris' this am. Nothing very exciting though so fingers crossed all ok. Feeling shattered and queasy which is a good sign.

Psyching myself up to contact the midwifery team. In a way I'd rather wait til after my next scan but I think I'd better get on their books so they can book my 12 week nuchal scan.

pebs. How did your scan go? X

Mrsd77 · 06/12/2012 10:43

Thanks brave. I've not gone into work today. Stuff less diluted in night and first thing and been achy. Wondering if feel achy due to massive c section scar from DS? Dunno. Still hoping. Docs later.

BraveLilBear · 06/12/2012 10:29

Fx for pebs and MrsD today... hope all is good.

Clairey2012 · 06/12/2012 06:44

Thanks lurcherlover, good advice, will do, my last pregnancy took ages to show up. Time will tell.x

cogitosum · 05/12/2012 22:28

Excellent jolly really pleased it's ok

lurcherlover · 05/12/2012 21:42

Wonderful news jolly! Really pleased for you.

Good luck for tomorrow, pebs. I'm sure everythign will be fine.

Clairey, I had an erpc after my mc and got AF five weeks later, but they told me it could take longer. After that I had a really, really long cycle (was still waiting for AF at about 7 weeks) but it turned out I was pg again - but I had been doing regular tests and getting negatives until very late in the cycle, and then an early scan showed I was only five weeks - so I must have ovulated really late, probably around day 28! So don't think a late AF is necessarily a sign of nothing happening - you can still ov much later than usual in your cycles. If you're ttc again, just dtd regularly and take tests every few days would be my advice.

YikesHereWeGo · 05/12/2012 19:20

Great news jolly, so pleased for you!!!!! xx

Clairey2012 · 05/12/2012 18:58

Hi peeps, an people giv me their personal experience ov how long it took them to get their AF after mc. Its been 6 weeks and still counting, no sighn ov it at all. Mc at 8 ih weeks, only bled for a week.x

Mrsd77 · 05/12/2012 18:24

Hi all. Still getting some "stuff" off and on. No real pain though and other symptoms still in play. Docs tomorrow.

Glad all is good with you jolly and that your midwife is being so lovely pebs. Mine was a total legend with DS. A good one is worth their weight in gold.

Jollyb · 05/12/2012 16:46

Thanks everyone. bella I'm 6 +2 today. Next scan in 2 weeks. Strangely my bleeding has completely stopped now. wonder whether I had an implantation bleed and have now expelled the clot. God it's going to be a long 33 weeks. .

pebs hope everything goes well tomorrow. Hopefully you'll soon settle into a pattern of movements despite your pesky placenta. If not, keep doing what you're doing - that's what your midwife is there for. With your history no one is going to think you're wasting their time x
