dorita good news on the tests, it's definitely good to be in "the queue"

beans brilliant news! The stats are indeed on your side now, must have been so amazing to have seen your little bean for the first time. What a great early Christmas present.

jolly great you have good news too, and a follow up scan is great too. It's so good to feel looked after with kind professionals and thorough care, they do say it improves outcomes.

mrsd glad your bleed has slowed down, how are you today?

Lots of good news lately, long may it last! Xmas Smile

Dorita75 · 19/12/2012 22:22

Massive congratulations state and bonzo! And to jolly bet you're relieved, great news.

We had good appointment at Liverpool fertility clinic today, dp's sperm ok, I've just got another blood test, then appointment in Jan to decide options, they think IVF. It's bit nuts, only asked doc about tests as a sideline to migraine issue, and here we are on a road to treatment.....I don't mind, feel like it's happening on the side of us ttc ourselves, it's only been 10months since mc so not worried, but good to be in the queue so to speak....

HJBeans · 19/12/2012 21:58

Missed your happy scan news last time I was on, jolly. So glad it went well and the worrying bleeding has stopped.

Congrats on your 20w scan, tas, and on your little boy-in-the-making!

Thanks for kind thoughts, all, I did go in for a checkup at the local HR today although I've had no further spotting today. Everyone there was lovely - both kind and professional - and they did blood tests and both internal and external scans. Blood results not back yet, but scan was perfect. Embryo with wee limb buds visible, measuring bang on 8 weeks and with a heart rate of 163. Very relieved and pleased. Know I'm not out of the woods yet, but statistics are very good at this stage and that's great to know. First time I've ever seen anything in there on a scan. It's fantastic.

Polka2 · 19/12/2012 20:32

Wow what lovely news state and bonzo enjoy every minuteGrin

Jollyb · 19/12/2012 20:32

Mrsd - I wasn't really told much about the bleed at my last scan. They saw an area measuring 2 x1.7cm close to the sac. They didn't give me any information on how long I could expect to bleed for etc, just to call back if the bleeding became heavy again. They did book me in for a follow up scan though. The fresh bleeding settled within 24 hours and then I spotted (brown grainy stuff) for another 8-9 days. I haven't bled for about 4 days now hurrah!

I saw a much nicer registrar today who was really thorough when scanning and couldn't see any residual haemorrhage - I wish I had seen her last time. It sounds like you're in a very similar position and I hope eveyrthing goes ok for you.

lurcher lovely to hear you're feeling lots of movements, thanks for the stats on survival, rates, I didn't know that.

snorks hi, I remember you from before, remembered your name! Love the moomins! Congrats! Sorry your Epau staff are horrible, that really sucks. Hope everything is ok. I just passed a milestone of 18 wks when I'm no longer eligible for treatment at Epau, I was overjoyed! Hope that will be you soon!

tasmaniandevilchaser · 19/12/2012 19:28

Mrsd77 · 19/12/2012 19:15

Jolly delighted to hear follow up scan was ok. Did they say much about your resolved bleed? Mine has really slowed down now but wasn't offered anything until 12 weeks as they weren't concerned (not in a bad way)

tasmaniandevilchaser · 19/12/2012 18:14

sorry have realised that my moaning is awful for those still TTC, I am very grateful for my little bean. Hope your TTC journey is very short.

tasmaniandevilchaser · 19/12/2012 17:57

bonzo and state so so happy for you! Welling up here at your wonderful news. Glad your LOs are doing well. Xmas Smile

I haven't been on for so long, I'm very out of date with all the news, so,I'll have a read through when DD is in bed. Though last night, I was asleep before her, so that might not work!

I'm absolutely shattered, 20 wks pg now. Still not completely recovered from the pneumonia, with viruses galore on top. I've been off work for prettyy much 6 wks now. i had several colds on the go from the moment I left hospital. Then DD had tonsillitis and croup. Now I'm getting a sore throat. So instead of relaxing at home off sick, with DD at nursery it's been 2 grumpy people in the flat for about a month. Seriously I've hardly left the house in 2 mths apart from going to the GP and a few half days back at work, Ok moan over.

Good news is 20wk scan was brilliant, saw him YES IT'S A BOY!!! Xmas Smile and he is beautiful!

Hope all is well with everyone and I'll post more than memememememe when I've had a read through.

Bonzo, congratulations on your early Christmas bundle. Glad to hear DS2 is doing well.

bonzo77 · 18/12/2012 22:30

Hi there. I've been AWOL for a while, and not read back through the thread. Just wanted to add my support for those of you ttc after mc. I found the support here wonderful. So, an update, which I hope will offer some hope to those still travelling this bumpy road. And apologies to those who find it all too hard to read... My youngest child, DS2 was born on 6/12/11, one month early and 2.3kg. A semi elective CS due to critically low amniotic fluid. Baby doing well after 8 days in NICU and SCBU. placenta sent for pathology. Hoping it might shed some light on the cause of 2 placentas packing up and one mmc.

backwardpossom · 18/12/2012 22:28

Great news cheese

Beans thinking of you. Hoping all is ok xx

HJBeans · 18/12/2012 21:41

Thanks, mrsd and jolly - impossible not to imagine the worst but do feel reassured and no more bleeding throughout the day. Have called insurance who were brilliant. I am covered for this - I can do as I like and they'll settle the bill directly. DH has just arrived, so going to go in tomorrow for a check. I'll be back home in ten days, but will be good to be reassured or at least to know more before Christmas and long journey. Thanks again for your kind words - his board is a great support.

Hooray for the amnio cheese and best wishes for tomorrow state.

lurcherlover · 18/12/2012 21:26

Yey cheese! Wonderful news xx

Jollyb · 18/12/2012 21:12

Fantastic news on the amnio cheese

OP posts:
lotsofcheese · 18/12/2012 20:36

Just a quick hello from me - for some reason I've not been able to view this thread on my phone for weeks. I wrote a nice long reply on Sunday (twice!) and it didn't post.

So here goes! I'm nearly 19 weeks now, getting more confident as I'm feeling movement on a daily basis now. Had a mini-meltdown a couple of weeks ago & an almost-sleepless night worrying about a late loss, but am calmer now.

And I got my amnio results back - all clear! And it's a girl!!!! Am over the moon as I have a DS already! It's helping me "buy into" this pregnancy a bit more. I can even begin to imagine having a baby now. Which is news to me! Still feeling funny about telling people though. Might wait till after 20 week scan before I do.....

Good luck to everyone, especially hjbeans snorks and also state - it's a big day for you tomorrow!

Jollyb · 18/12/2012 19:50

hjb. I won't even say 'try not to worry' as you will be but remember that spotting in early pregnancy is very common.

How long until you come home? In your position I'd be tempted to go through the hassle of getting a scan firstly for reassurance, and secondly it might be helpful to know what is going on if you're going to be spending a long time in an aeroplane.

Will be thinking of you.
