sorry have missed great swathes of this thread, hi to clairey glad you're feeling better today, DHs bless them, they try but they're unlikely to feel the same way as us.

lcr hi, did you ever come onto the ectopic thread, seem to remember your name from somewhere?

hope everyone else is feeling ok, cheese, spade and wilde are you guys still around?

tasmaniandevilchaser · 14/01/2013 22:10

24 wks tomorrow! Viability! It's such a weird, negative thing to think but one of the main things making me feel better is that if the baby doesn't make it now, I still get mat leave. I know that sounds really weird!!! I feel quite daft for thinking it. Obviously I want the baby to stay comfortably in there til about 37 weeks at least. He seems quite happy in there, wriggling away right now Smile

dorita my mantra was "today I am pregnant", realistically there's not much you can do to influence things at this stage. Try avoiding crack and other hard drugs if you can Wink that's about all you can do.

tasmaniandevilchaser · 14/01/2013 22:04

congrats to buzzybee, great news Smile

tasmaniandevilchaser · 14/01/2013 22:03

Hi everyone. So exciting to have several groupings of pg ladies as well as the ttc-ers! Alas I fear I shall be re-joining the ttc grouping again soon. Harmony test came back positive for Downs today. Got a CVS booked in for Weds but have been told not to expect a good outcome. Hopefully will have D&E next week and then back to square one.
Jaffa - I know what you mean about annoyance with the fertility gods. I truly thought I had had my 'share' of bad luck but it doesn't work like that does it?! Here's to your little boy who would have been 1 tomorrow. Thanks
Clairey - my DH's reaction to my mc last year was exactly the same as yours. It is harder for blokes to really understand what we are going through. I've found it has taken a while for my DH to understand what mc has meant to me. I've had to be patient but remind him that I've been carrying a baby (2 babies) for 23 weeks of the last year but will have nothing to show for it at the end. It's hard!

Dorita75 · 14/01/2013 19:55

Hi jaffa take care tomorrow xx

Buzzy it's mad isn't it, I was out shopping with my soon to be sister-in-law for her wedding dress yesterday and nipped to toilets about 4 times convinced I could 'feel' something like bleeding. Absolutely fine each time and today I have even felt a little bit sick.....fingers crossed!

I've decided not to go for an early scan this time jollyb the main reason is that I couldn't stand all being okay then having a 12 week scan to find it wasn't. At the moment I'm just symptom spotting and feel happy that my nipples are so sore and getting more so! I've got my doctor's appointment on Wednesday so will see how that goes and if anything changes my mind...

Clairey2012 · 14/01/2013 12:51

Hi ladies, thanks for your support, feeling much better today. Think I will invest in ov sticks for next week. Bless my hubby tries to understand bt keeps saying th wrong thing n thinks I shud stop dwelling on it, dnt think he gets it tho, hes trying tho

buzzybeetop · 14/01/2013 12:36

Oops posted twice. Stupid phone. Hope you're ok too jaffa

buzzybeetop · 14/01/2013 12:34

Dorita I know exactly what you mean. I was quite calm over the weekend but today I'm freaking out. Convinced myself I was bleeding while driving to work this morning only to find all was fine after a stressed out knicker check! I think I'm 5+1 today so we're about the same! I'm seeing GP on weds and going to ask about early scan. Waited for 12 week one last time and then started bleeding a few days before so I'd just rather know this time ASAP.
Clairey we all know how you're feeling. Some days are really hard. Hope you get your BFP soon.
Yikes a girl on the September AN thread (where I looked yesterday when I felt more confident ) mentioned she had a 1:2 risk of downs in her last pregnancy and all was ok on amnio so don't give up hope.
Good luck with scan jolly

Hope the scan goes well, Jolly

Thinking of you, Jaffa, the anniversaries are hard. Take care x

JaffaSnaffle · 14/01/2013 08:55

Hello,

Just popped in to see how you all are. yikes, I hope all goes well for you. With my DD2, I was given a 1:15 chance of downs, mainly due to nuchal and bloods. I was only 31 so age wasn't a big factor. I had cvs in the end after a lot of soul searching. I wasn't sure what decision I would have made had the results come back positive, but I knew once there was such a significant risk, I couldn't rest until I knew either way for sure. I found the uncertainty really hard. I also was very annoyed with the fertility gods- felt like I had already had my share of sadness with the 2 mc before. I was lucky, all was fine. But PM me if you want to talk to me about it. Xxx

I also came lurking back here because tomorrow the baby I lost at 17 weeks would have been 1. He was due on 15 January. I still think about him, and I didn't know where else to post. I hope you don't think I'm being indulgent. I will always remember him even though life has moved so far forward since then.

Jollyb · 14/01/2013 07:33

How are you doing yikes? When do you get your harmony test results?

OP posts:
Jollyb · 14/01/2013 07:25

clairey you're feelings are entirely normal - don't apologise. That's what we're a here for. Hope you're feeling a bit brighter today.

dorita 5+2 hurray . You're out of the 'chemical pregnancy' window which is great. Are you having an early scan?

mrshp sorry to hear about the facial hair issues

pixie what a perfect chilly day for inside activities.

12 weeks today - scan tomorrow. Taking a bit of a gamble and going without DP (last scan was only a week ago). One of my old NCT group is coming instead. She's 39 weeks pregnant so we're going to look a funny pair!

YikesHereWeGo · 14/01/2013 07:19

There's hand-holding a-plenty here Clairey. Sorry you find yourself here, but a warm welcome! Brew

dorita one day at a time. I have no idea how to do it I'm afraid!

I am pretty sure AF will be on the way at the end of this week - my thick black hairs are starting to sprout out of my chin, always a sign of what is to come. Lovely. Tweezer time methinks...
