Hi all,
I am so sorry for those with evil AF or BFN's. I'm currently confused. My AF not due until Sunday. I am like clockwork, always have been. Well except once when I was 3 days early and it turned out I be implantation bleed with DD! I have just found some blood when I went to loo.

So confused and scared to be hopeful. It took 2 years to concieve dd1 surely I can't get it first time this time?

I think I'm over thinking!

Help!

happylass · 08/11/2012 11:06

llama I had my only Smile on CB OPK early on Sunday 28th Oct followed by some serious OV pain as I was going to bed that night. Smile was gone again the following morning. Based on that I think I'm 11dpo?? So probably too early to test. When will I learn?!?

llamaface · 08/11/2012 10:08

How many days po. do you think you are happy ? i'm sorely tempted to test too, but if its negative that doesnt help!!

happylass · 08/11/2012 07:32

So I cracked and tested early. BFN of course. Now im telling myself it could just be too early. Why couldnt I just have waited arrrrrgh!!

bakerbakerfairycaker · 07/11/2012 23:05

Thanks Llama. You speak so much sense. I'm quite sure I'm out for this month now anyway. Normal AF Symptoms starting up.

What I meant with the pill was (bearing in mind I was a late starter, periods at 15, went on the pill at 16), they use the pill to treat some hormonal problems and problem periods and the such. Can being on the pill from the start of your reproductive life hide problems?

I mean what if someone had something, that is normally diagnosed early on after puberty due to the issues it caused and is normally treated with the pill or some such but that person was already on the pill so it was being treated without them knowing and masking symptoms.

I'm not thinking that could have happened to me, I was just pondering earlier.

greenlizard · 07/11/2012 22:05

Hi I am also hunkering down for the wait. I am ttc#1 and on 3 cycle and trying to get to grips with it all. Got a positive opk Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and now "imagining" all sorts of twanging going on down below which really can't have much to do with anything! My attempts to be relaxed about it are not fooling anyone Smile Btw what does POAS stand for?

llamaface · 07/11/2012 19:13

and have a Wine babyjames and raspberries. Sorry that it hasn't been your month :(

I'm really confused atm (Day 11 po)- lots of breast tenderness especially when I poke them, feeling a bit sick on and off probably because i've scoffed all the leftover halloween chocolate, increased CM but also some back pain and pelvic heaviness like AF is on its way. Why does time go so sllllooooooooowly.... Must resist urge to POAS....

llamaface · 07/11/2012 19:08

baker - step away from the internet! If you cant resist please please use reputable sites such as patient.co.uk, or NHS choices.

What are you worried about being "wrong"? Firstly let me reassure that being on the pill definitely does not affect your fertility in the long term. Yes, it can take a few months for your cycles to settle down when you stop taking it, but it doesn't reduce your fertility. Also IBS is a pain, but doesnt affect your fertility.

Periods are a variable affair - light, heavy, long, short (just like people!). If you are having a regular monthly cycle roughly 21-35 days, then that is absolutely normal. Very irregular bleeding, passing lots of clots during your period, having cycles much shorter than 21 or longer than 35 days, bleeding midcycle, or bleeding/pain after sex can be markers something is "wrong" and is worth going to see your GP about.

Your cervix can be very sensitive - why do you think dilating it during childbirth is so painful! Different women have differently sensitive cervixes, and poeple with IBS tend to be very aware/sensitive of their "insides". If touching your cervix is really very painful (throughout your cycle), and causes you lots of pelvic pain, (or you get deep pelvic pain on sex) that is also worth going to see your GP about as it may be a sign of Pelvic inflammatory disease. It just being a bit sensitive is normal though (it wasnt designed to be poked!)

And remember. The AVERAGE time it takes for a woman to get pregnant if having regular, unprotected SI is 5 months. That means half of normal people take longer than that. Around 1 in 7 couples will not be pregnant at 1 year, but more than half of them are pregnant by 2 years (ie have no "problems" with their fertility).

Hope that helps :) I know its really hard to be rational when in the 2ww and loads of hormones are sloshing around to try and make you a bit paranoid - we've all been there!

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 07/11/2012 13:21

So sorry babyjames

That witch is a bitch!!

Think she's about to get me 2!! I've started spotting, just waiting for it to arrive in full force so I can get on with the next cycle.

bakerbakerfairycaker · 07/11/2012 12:24

Sorry to hear that babyjames. Hopefully next time xx

I'm more and more convinced my line was an evap. It was like a shadow for ages and I think I was staring so long it only went pink after 10 mins.

All tests since then have been BFN (one FMU clear blue CI the next day and one tesco one last night).

Still feeling crampy, cervix feels sore to the touch. I have IBS which flares up near AF time.

Can't this be a sign of something wrong? Can being on the pill for 12 years, and all of my reproductive life, mask any problems?

I have very light periods. I think I need to break my internet.

happylass · 07/11/2012 11:49

So sorry baby that's rubbish. Have a glass or two of Wine. Fx you get your BFP next cycle.

BraveLilBear · 07/11/2012 09:58

Oh BabyJames sorry the witch got you. Maybe she'll tuen out to be a good fairy, and help things, but still. Sucks. x

babyjamesblackberrycrumble · 07/11/2012 07:59

Hi all,
I'm out :( AF has got me. First since July as have had 2 MC. I am trying to focus on the fact that it's good to have a period and will hopefully help sort out my body. Still gutting though. Anyway onwards and upwards. Day 1 again!!!
Good luck to you all x

tokay wtf?? To make!

happylass · 06/11/2012 22:33

Decided to just have the odd drink if I fancy it. This TTC lark could be a very long process and being teetotal is only going tokay it harder. Pretty sure I've had some mild twinges/cramps over the last few days, or am I just imagining it Hmm

frogchops · 06/11/2012 21:03

I'm not a huge drinker but in any case I feel so sick so alcohol isn't really bothering me. I think because anything fizzy is giving me heartburn, is why I don't really want it. I just this second thought about Poas but I'm only about 3dpo, so a ridiculous idea!! I'll be a wreck by 9!!

happylass · 06/11/2012 20:41

Almost cracked and POAS earlier on but managed to restrain myself. Only 9 dpo but don't think can hold off much longer! Gonna try to wait until Saturday. Having half a cider tonight at the pub quiz. What are you ladies doing about alcohol in the 2ww?

bakerbakerfairycaker · 06/11/2012 14:27

I know what you mean Frogchops.

A BFP this month means a Christmas or New Year announcement.

That would be just lovely.

frogchops · 06/11/2012 14:19

Hello there 2 wwrs, anyone else get that excited tingly Xmas eve feeling down below while waiting?? Every time someone mentions babies, pregnancy or children my stomach turns.
Anyway, just wondering.... Although I know we're supposed to Dtd even other day/as much as possible.... Is this still the case during the 2ww? Was thinking of going DP some 'time off' lol.... But if people suggest otherwise, I'll get back on it!!

worriedmum100 · 06/11/2012 13:16

Hello

Can I join in? TTC DC#2 since August. Had a WTF cycle last month when for no apparent reason my usual 31 day cycle became a 36 day cycle so I went through all the the "no AF but BFN" stuff which was horrible so those of you going through it this cycle I know how you feel!

So, I don't really know where I am now or when I will test. I am on CD21 today. We just decided to DTD EOD from CD10 onwards this cycle and so far we've managed it! I was having a horrible time at work over the summer and was very stressed/lost of lot of weight etc but things are much better now and I hope being less stressed at work will help.

Fingers crossed for everyone!

bakerbakerfairycaker · 06/11/2012 13:10

Yes frogchops, I came off the pill, had my breakthrough bleed. My first proper period came 32 days after my breakthrough bleed. My next one 29 days after that.

I am assuming I have a nice 28-29 day cycle and my body is still adjusting.

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 06/11/2012 09:58

frogchops the first cycle off the pill is a bit of a minefield. Some say you're more fertile, but I don't think you can really look at ovulation etc because none of what's happened before has been a real period iyswim.
My first cycle off the pill was a bit odd, bit of a breakthrough bleed that was just like an implantation bleed (according to all discriptions I've read) & then my period came 2 weeks later. So 5 weeks after stopping the pill was my first AF. I started day counting after that.
Good luck. Smile

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 06/11/2012 09:53

Sorry about all the other bfn's, hopefully it's just to early for a +!!!

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 06/11/2012 09:52

Rant away LauraSmurf!!

I'm on cd33, now AF is officially late, & another BFN this morning. Sad And I've got a bit of a stomach bug Sad

LauraSmurf · 06/11/2012 09:14

I'm on CD28 of a 32 day cycle, It's driving me mad! I just want to test. It's so hard.

I WANT TO KNOW!! Sorry, I just needed that, can't say it in RL so I hope you don't mind the rant!
