boo 17 weeks how did that happen Shock Will you be finding out before Christmas if its a girl booby or a boy booby, or will it stay a surprise booby? :o

Princessishavingababyboo · 22/11/2012 07:34

Geek good luck with your scan today, and enjoy your lunch. I would let db and db's db sweat it out a bit longer :)

Keep Brooking for you, that is all.

Solars good news on getting your notes, good luck with choosing your clinic.

Boobino is 17 weeks now, all going well :)

BeedleTheBard · 22/11/2012 07:15

keep I agree with geek just because its not common doesn't mean it won't happen to you. Having said that, 1 month this year I randomly had about 5 days of spotting before AF turned up (I never get pre-AF spotting). i wasn't pregnant, I'm not sure what happened that month I think it was just another way for my body to keep me guessing Hmm
So it might be something or it might be nothing - hope that helps :o

geek good luck with the scan, and with crossing your legs after drinking 2l of water. How rude are your dink bosses?? Keep them guessing, and then hopefully (but unlikely) they'll feel really bad if they ever do find out the truth.

keepitgoing · 22/11/2012 07:13

ooh geek i forgot about that - masses of luck for today's scan, and look forward to hearing about it. I would tell them to butt the f* out. Also, thank you for your measured answer about the you-know-what.

Geeklette · 22/11/2012 07:03

Uurgh been a long time since I've had to get up this early!

solars excellent news on your appointment, and on getting your notes - good luck. Do you have a folder? I forgot to mention the last time folders were being discussed, I have a blue posh see-through one Grin Glad you had a lovely time with the little ones, they are truly exhausting though! At least babies break you in gently, starting off with sleepless nights and building up to sleepless nights and being horribly active all day!

beedle surely it's illegal to put tinsel up so early? I too would def use that as an excuse not to go to the gym not that I would ever go to the gym anyway!

keep Thailand really sounds like it suits you, is it just 12 months you are out there for? I can't advise on the spotting, but it is at the perfect time for it to be you-know-what, and just because it's not that common doesn't mean it won't happen to you iykwim?

Got scan this morning so no food, no milky drinks, and 2 litres of water to make me nice and uncomfortable Grin I've been promised an O'Neill's lunch to make up for it before I have to go back to work.

Dink boss and Dink boss's dinkier boss are both on permanent fishing trips trying to work out what is 'wrong' with me. Yesterday's effort from DB's DB was 'have you been losing weight? Is it intentional?' Is it really wrong of me to be enjoying not telling them as much as I am ?

keepitgoing · 22/11/2012 06:45

I am cd23, i got a peak last tuesday (so maybe 8 or 9dpo), and would expect AF next Thursday-ish (long LP).

SecretSparkle · 22/11/2012 06:31

keep where are you cycle wise?

Scan is a week on Saturday Smile

keepitgoing · 22/11/2012 06:16

solars that's great news that you've already got a consultation booked for saturday. Make sure you have the trusty list of questions, and that one of you makes some notes so you don't forget what was said. (or come and tell us straight after, that's like taking notes!). Also well done on getting your notes. Do you have thoughts of where you think you'll go? i can't remember where you are.

girls, i had a bit more pinky/brown cm on wiping (sorry) this morning. If it's not the fabled implantation bleeding which seems highly unlikely given that a) i don't seem able to get pregnant and b)not that many people get it anyway, what could it be? should i be worried of an infection or something? no other symptoms of one.

beedle that sounds like a perfect excuse not to go to the gym. Mine is potential implantation bleeding. So i will only swim until next week as that's fairly gentle, isn't it?

and WOO HOO for sparks' power over christmas wishes. Babies all round by next christmas, thanks sparkly. Gosh, it's not long till your scan now, is it. WOOPOO

boo where are you up to now? how big is boobette (any better?)

i just had the best NE Thai lunch. Spicy salads, sticky rice and tamarind chicken.

BeedleTheBard · 22/11/2012 05:15

geek its a good thing you're not living here, I've been home late twice this week and each time I've found that DP has been hanging random bits of tinsel around the house. I was planning on going to the gym tonight but I'm a bit scared that the explosion in a tinsel factory look will spread out of the lounge :o

solars small children are quite exhausting really, it makes you wonder why we're all so desperate to have one :o

Solars · 21/11/2012 18:42

You lot are like little kiddies talking about Christmas already!!

I am unbelievably shattered!! I have been looking after niece (nearly 3) and nephew (6) since 11am this morning and they've only just left!! Wow talk about exhausting me out, and then they didn't want to leave, thankfully they're back at school tomorrow so had to go home tonight! It was a lot of fun and we were writing their Xmas lists too. My niece made me write I want all things that girls have in brackets dolls, nail varnish, barbie, dresses, it was so sweet!

Nice chopping board Sparkes

Well I've received all our notes from our ivf clinic which is great so we are free to go elsewhere now if do carry on with ivf. We also have our second opinion gynae consultation on saturday which will give us hopefully a better idea on which direction to go! Sorry it's a little me, me, me but I think I need a drink and a little lie down now!

Princessishavingababyboo · 21/11/2012 16:48

I still could Geek Wink

Geeklette · 21/11/2012 16:28

Eek! At least you didn't shove a christmas tree up my bum boo !!!

Princessishavingababyboo · 21/11/2012 15:08

It IS Christmas, Coca Cola and Join Lewis say so Grin

Geeklette · 21/11/2012 13:23

Tut tut ladies, we still have a week and a bit of November yet, how can you all be thinking of Christmas so early? I'm still getting over Hallowe'en! That said, I have just received the last of three parcels containing MrGeek's christmas presents. He's getting a telescope, a breadmaker and a t-shirt. My parents are probably going to get magazine subscriptions for their presents as they are easy to send through the post.

Aargh I've just remembered I have to make my dad's birthday card in order to get it in the post for Friday morning

SecretSparkle · 21/11/2012 10:05

ah beedle you make an awesome christmas tree point!! you best hang your stocking early too, just in case!!

BeedleTheBard · 21/11/2012 09:02

I've planned a load of Xmas presents, but in terms of actually buying them I think its only my own (from DP) that has actually been ordered (by me!), I'm sure he'll get me some nice surprises too. I've mainly got stuff sitting in my amazon basket to bump up the total cost to over £25 so I can get free delivery if I see anything nice in the black friday deals. So far I've only seen 2 things I wanted to get, neither of which I suceeded with. but I'm hoping for better stuff later in the week :o

I'm also wishing for lots of BFPs under the Xmas tree - which is why we got one so early - there's more time for me to find one lurking there :o

SecretSparkle · 21/11/2012 09:00

thats what Im saying
last year I said it was going to be my last christmas without a baby, so this year Im putting all my christmas miracle magic into saying that all brookers will have BFPs!!! (tis cus I still believe in christmas that I get so much magic)

It actually looks pretty much like a baby already, well from what the book says, I'll be around the 15 week mark by christmas Shock at the moment all I can see is a belly overhang, but then thats cus I havent pulled my tights all the way up!!!

keepitgoing · 21/11/2012 08:55

i take it back, that chopping board set it awesome, and very hygenic! Good mrsparks, stepping into the breach and cooking. Bodes well.
Ta ra for now, am leaving work soonish.

keepitgoing · 21/11/2012 08:53

well that was true for you, sparks! you have a baby, it's just very very small. Does it look like anything yet, or will it by christmas?

SecretSparkle · 21/11/2012 08:52

oh and the chopping board is because he is obsessed with these but always says he cant justify them himself!!

It does make me Hmm because up until a few weeks ago I did all of the cooking!!!!

SecretSparkle · 21/11/2012 08:49

Kids are way more fun than buying for boring adults!!!

I'd like BFPs for the brookers for christmas too!!
Last christmas i declared it was the last christmas without a baby

keepitgoing · 21/11/2012 08:19

sparks that's crazy, how have you done all that without puking all over it A chopping board Hmm
i like the PJs, boo though we don't need them Wink
christmas decorations - i forgot about them. will need to go shopping for them and see what i can find, thai-styleee!

have just realised i lied and have already bought my niece loads - she is so cute and easy to buy for, not like grown ups.

I don't want a lot for Christmas.... All i want for christmas is....

SecretSparkle · 21/11/2012 08:09

This year I've bought mrsparks a chopping board and an xbox game, but I'm sure there will be some pants and socks somewhere too!! oh and then theres the AMAZING pirate ship Ive bought my nephew Grin

I go wild at christmas, I love it!!!

I've just gotta sort out my secret santa present and then Im completely done.

Decs up 1st december

Princessishavingababyboo · 21/11/2012 07:35

Keep I have got my DH some spider man pj's Grin

keepitgoing · 21/11/2012 04:36

well we were quite for the rest of yesterday!!

beedle that should give him plenty of time to get it sorted, and having to make an appointment gives him no chance to back out. I know what you mean about lack of tears etc. But you should still do something nice when AF arrives, as a consolation, I think.

well i'm off to try a new type of language class after work today, ladies. I am finding the language quite hard, but have enough to order food, buy and bargain at the market etc. However, with my job ending at christmas and nothing sorted for next year i am thinking i might step up the pace. I am not bothered about not continuing in this job, but will want something to distract me in my pregnancy or IVF! Smile

Not long till christmas, is it! has anyone done any christmas shopping yet? i have done zip/zilch/nada. Will send pressies home with my brother, who's visiting over xmas, though, so have a while longer. Has anyone bought any brilliant pressies yet? i LOVE it when you get something you know the person will love.
