Did I say Easter?

I meant Valentines

Biscuitsandtinsel · 28/11/2012 11:40

See, we can fill this thread and have a nice Easter themed one quicker than you can blink Smile

MissLToeishavingsantasbabyboo · 28/11/2012 11:39

Do you like my new party trick? My new way of filling up the thread when I have nothing much to say :)

Sparks well done still being in the closet, I would have caved/cried/told everyone! Really hope your feeling better.

Yeah, they're probably ,made of plastercast, or taste like it

10am Saturday, that's 5pm here. Tis in the diary!

WinterSolstice · 28/11/2012 11:32

Sparkes what a scare!! I prescribe a sweet hot beverage along with cake! Please do look after yourself! (Why o why did the little girl throw her shoe at you though? Strange!)

SparklySanta · 28/11/2012 11:26

Biscuit Im still firmly in the PG closet!! I almost didnt tell the ladies helping me, but then I thought I probably should, there was lots knowing nods with choruses or "oooh she's pregnant, we've all been there love" and all I could think of was "I bet you haven't because im slumped against a bus stop bench and have just put my hand in on a half eaten mars bar" but they were very nice, the one lady missed at least two buses waiting for the ambulance, and then other lady (the ones I can remember) was taking her daughter to nursery so she was late too!! Her daughter did however take her shoe off and throw it at me!!!!

New job doesnt know, and Im hoping to be there a couple of weeks before I tell them, but I guess we'll see how I get on! Scan is on saturday at 10am!!

Maybe makes amazing cakes, she sent me some pics of a one of those hidden picture cakes she did for a party, and it was amazing!! she failed to send me a sample though, so I can't vouch for taste!!!

MissLToeishavingsantasbabyboo · 28/11/2012 11:21

Bartlet are you having a gtt in Sainsburys? And yes it is time, you must change into your Christmas costume!

Sparks that was a serious warning to take care of yourself, I hope you really are ok and not just being brave! Eat more cake to be sure.

Sorry not name checked everyone else, can't remember what I read, been up with toddly (on and off) since 4, poorly boy :(

Biscuitsandtinsel · 28/11/2012 11:18

Yes keep you're right - maybe is our chief bakerererer I think. With imps in charge of the savoury department I think. I don't claim to knowing about making cakes than Maybe, but eating them? Well that really is my forte.......... Grin I reckon I could give anyone a run for their money. Even Greg Wallace Grin

Biscuitsandtinsel · 28/11/2012 11:16

Oh gosh yes! I've just clicked that of course you're not out of the pg closet yet are you! Did you have to fess up to the people who helped when you passed out?

So when do you start your new job? Do they know yet?

And is it your scan this Saturday coming? What time is it?

keepitgoing · 28/11/2012 11:15

Lucky mrsparks to get your leaving pressie!

Isn't maybe our resident cake chef?

SparklySanta · 28/11/2012 11:05

Seriously Im fine, and probs better off at work (the office Im leaving is full of doctors) but mrsparks is on high alert to come pick me up if I want him too!! To be honest work didnt think anything of it, they just assumed I got side tracked in a shop, so when I came back they didnt wander where I'd been! They've just given me a bottle of wine as a leaving present so I'm 100% sure they dont suspect a thing!!!!

Biscuit Dont worry if I needed to know about cake I would ask here first!!! I've just had a doughnut with stupid amounts of sugar on it!!! (nice christmas name btw)

keepitgoing · 28/11/2012 11:03

Where are you now sparks?

Biscuitsandtinsel · 28/11/2012 11:01

Gosh, hope you're ok! I thought for a minute you were googling 'cake' - I can give you far more information on cake than google can Grin.

Seriously though, take it easy and do as you're told (ie eat cake!). And I would have got an ambulance too if a preggo passed out near me!

keepitgoing · 28/11/2012 10:58

sparks!!! Glad you're OK, now eat some cake. Did you have to tell everyone you're pg...

Go home!!!

SparklySanta · 28/11/2012 10:56

most dramatic cake purchasing trip ever!!
I really must stop passing out in public places, this time a round several 'mums' who insisted on getting an ambulance out to me with sirens and flashing lights!! mega embarassing!!!

I was checked over and Im fine, but my blood sugar is a little low (low for a normal person, so extra low for a diffed person) so I was released from the ambulance with strict instructions to 'eat some cake' although thats not whats written on my notes!!! I'm now off to consult Dr google, not because I think anythings wrong but because I want to know just how long my levels were!!!

keepitgoing · 28/11/2012 10:19

Ha ha my niece does the same. No darling, I will not help you pull that pile of clothes on your head/open the dangerous window/get you out of your car seat... Does he understand about the baby? Smile

keepitgoing · 28/11/2012 10:17

Oh yes solars i hear you. dh has worked every Xmas since he qualified, so 'Christmas' for us isn't nec on the 25th...

Bartlett good luck for bloods. That advent calendar's not exactly one to make you leap out of bed in the morning.....

BartletForTeamGB · 28/11/2012 10:16

sweetie, yes, I get to take one of the advent calendars home because I had to make an example one. DH had lots of fun that evening :-/ but I enjoyed it.

Will get on with a namechange soon. Just not feeling inspired, so, as my DS would say, "help me!" (except whenever he says that, it is because he wants to help us no matter how dangerous or inappropriate that might be!)

BartletForTeamGB · 28/11/2012 10:12

sparkly , I'll take a picture & put it up on Facebook later because I am very proud of it! The Brownie Guide law is 'A Brownie Guide thinks of others before herself & does at least one Good Turn every day', so, instead of chocolate, when you open the flap, there's a good turn to do each day. Just as much fun as eating chocolate surely...

BartletForTeamGB · 28/11/2012 10:08

Confused by all the name changes though! Just got Solars namechange - very clever. We celebrated Diwali at Brownies. One of the girls who is a Hindu told us the story of Rama & Sita and then we made rangoli.

BartletForTeamGB · 28/11/2012 10:05

Sitting in Sainsbury's cafe having drunk a bottle of Lucozade and waiting an hour to get my bloods done. (Yes, antenatal bloods are done in Sainsbury's here!) having drunk 273ml of the disgusting stuff, I am feeling pretty queasy!
