No Fan didn t manage to sneak off early Sad was incredibly busy. & loads if crisp to sort out ... ( like; all admin staff striking for 3 days next week so needed to alter clinics at all 3 sites & look at covering reception along with doing my clinics!!! & my boss has tendered his resignation . Which is no great shock but unsettling never the less to see wheter they ll still expect me to " act up" or they ll advertise for a new manager...)
BabyH hope u re counselling went ok? Xxx

Waves to angel and moomins

angel did you manage to get away early?

moomins wow 27 weeks!

Moominsarescary · 13/11/2012 16:12

Hello everyone,
I have some serious reading to do to catch up! Hope everyone is allright?

I will be 27 weeks tomorrow, everything seems fine, although I'm having a reaction to the progesterone so I'm considering talking to the consultant about stopping them soon.

Feeling much better about things, we've even bought the double pushchair!

fanjodisfunction · 13/11/2012 13:46

green I'm crocheting some fingerless mittens for my mum and a snood scarf thing for DH. Might make something for my Nan yet. It does feel nice making things, I like the oreder and repetative stuff about it.

blizy the last time I was in Vegas was 10 years ago wow! But its such a fun city, just have fun. Becuase its all about the gambling lots of stuff are free like the things I mentioned above, they are the street entertainment outside the hotels. Its like no other place on earth. Its so over the top too, oh and watch out for the guys giving out free leaflets on the strip, they are handing out porn! Lol.

babyh waves how's it going? Good luck with the counselling. I really hope it helps.

Babyh200 · 13/11/2012 10:13

Good morning ladies
Looks like we are all back on form because there has been loads of activity since my last post.
So much to say to everyone and not enough time to do it in!!

Angel: Hope poor phebs improves today.....for both of you. Going to work on no sleep is awful so hope you manage to find a way to sneak home early xxxxxx
PS can't believe I'm saying this but our heating is also on the way out :(

Fan: Business time really made me howl laughing this morning. Hope you ok....thinking of you and your angel babies.......such a strange time is the right description for your life at the moment and as usual your busy with your crochet stick thinking of others your so kind. I hope more than anything contentment is on its way to you xxxxx

Miasmum: tears rolled down my face reading about the red curls and the rainbow picture. Yet your so inspiring with your plans to change things at the hospital and make a difference to other propels lives. I'm off to counselling soon at the Alder Centre in Liverpool.......our weekly visits have really saved our sanity. Also all of the counsellors have lost children themselves so know exactly how we feel. Hugs to you, Mr Mia and bump xxxxxx

Blizy: glad your bro had a good send off. Wow I bet you can't wait to get to Vegas baby. How long are you going for.?

Green: talking of Vegas, these families of ours can be so complex for one reason or another. No excuse for your sister not phoning after Merryns loss.....I sympathise and understand after 'A' died we got a text from DH's sister saying
'Sorry for your loss' like we were an acquaintance rather than family!! Glad your bleeding has stopped and good luck with the sink!

Amy: So delighted for you that your having a beautiful boy, hope everything ok xxxxxxx

Blue: not long can't wait for your rainbow, selfishly I think it will lift us all too :) wishing these last days fly by quickly xxxxxxxx

Kliene: saved you for last on purpose!! Lots of things you have said lately have stuck with me. First your post about the upcoming baby births in RL. (Strenuously stressing not the MNers) your post just made me feel human about those mixed emotions. One of my feelings was I've done all the work....carried my baby for 9 months and now have no baby. Why has someone inflicted this hell on us ??? It just feels so unfair yet we only want the best for our friends/family who are having their babies......worrying that they will arrive safely yet sad because their is no baby on the horizon for ourselves. Such a crazy mix of emotions. Thinking of your appointment in 10 days time and wishing that you never had to go down this road to begin with because your beautiful 'E' was here. When you mentioned thinking of Merryns picture, I often picture her little face too and 'E's and the other children's pictures posted and I have been privileged to share. Xxxxxxxx PS: I so wish your dream of my BFP was true.....the last time someone said that to me was when I was pregnant with 'A' and I hadn't announced it so sometimes dreams can come true :) xxxxxxxxx

My life is running at a million miles an hour at the moment, will save it for another time because late for counselling session.

Love to all xxxxx

blizy · 13/11/2012 07:53

Green enjoy your auction xxx
Blizy wow Vegas baby!!! U jammy bugger ... Never been to the USA planning to in a few years time... How fab? Love to u re brother, as I said, my bro was in Iraq for 6 months; very scarey..., xxx was warm in bed now freezing again Sad
Fan hi xxx
Blue yippee ...Grin nearly there xxxx
Crap night again Phebs coughing +++ woke up about, a million times.... Thinking of ways to leave work early today...Wink xxx

greengoose · 13/11/2012 00:12

BLUE... Nearly there now!! Have you that attractive 'head engaged waddle' going on?! It should be soon then! I know you will be anxious, but you are sooo close to holding your little one, Im so excited for you!

BLIZY, you sound like you have such a lovely brother, and he had a wonderful send off, full of love!
Vegas! I am a little green here... It sounds soo much fun. It is unfortunately a town I shall never visit, too close to where my sister lives, and I would feel obliged to visit! ( we really don't get on, she didn't even phone me after Merryn was born, but that's another story)!

ANGEL... hoping you are all snug and warm in bed, and not too cold in your house. Roll on Friday....

FAN.... What are you crocheting?? Home made presents are lovely! (I had plans this year, but they probably won't be done in time).
Re what you said about ov sticks, I know it was a 'real' poss because I was checking that I got a genuine negative on the preg test (and ov test) before I trusted the poss ov test, this was at advice of epu. Also all the other signs are there, and I know my body quite well now. The consultant said it was fine to try before a period, guidance on this has changed I think, not sure why.

MIASMUMMY.... You have been doing such difficult things. I am in awe at the bravery you have in working with the hospital, so worthwhile. Mia's sibling is so lucky to have you as parents.
You didn't sound callous, but I don't think I can 'not think' about ttc, any pretence I give of being in control of this is a sham... I am beginning to roll with it a little though!

Well, DP is off to London. ( I can't wait until this changes after Christmas). We, unusually for us, had a row before he left. Nothing much, I had thought he was taking afternoon off and getting later train, he had thought he was working. I just miss him. He knows that, and was patient on the whole with my ranting, and has sent me a lovely email, but I wish he was here. I think I'm a bit of a wreck today, hopefully the morning will be better. I'm going to an auction with a lovely friend to look for a new sink. (I broke ours in a freak accident with a toothbrush holder last week, don't ask)!

Bluetinkerbell · 12/11/2012 21:48

I'm still lurking trying to get as much rest as I can before baby arrives! 39+1 today, midwife came and said head is engaged, been having some Braxton Hicks since Saturday, I'm just hoping it happens soon as I start to get a bit anxious. Last night I started prodding my belly as I different feel her during the night, she tends to get very quiet at night. She's been moving fine today.

fanjodisfunction · 12/11/2012 20:55

blizy ahh bless your bro, its hard when they leave, but harder for you I'm sure with him in the armed forces.
Glad you liked the video! Enjoy vegas, I love that town, make sure you see the bellagio fountains, and the mirage volcano and the tresure island battle! Enjoy all the food, I'm envious used to spend my summers in the states working, I really miss it.

blizy · 12/11/2012 20:37

Fan I Grin at the video!

Angel, nightmare with the boiler, roll on Friday.

Green, thinking of Merryn today, hope you are ok?

Oh man, I have just forgotten everything I have read, sorryBlush. I must try harder! Hope you are all doing ok, thinking of you and all of our angels. X

Well that's my baby bro away, he had a fab party with family and friends on sat night. Poor boy was sobbing his heart out, he will miss the birth of my sis's baby and is gutted about it. I seen him last night for more hugs. He will be gone for 7 weeks, home for 4 days then away again for 7 weeks. After that comes the scary partSad.

Dh is working away in Birmingham until Thursday, we travel to Manchester on fri and fly out to Vegas in Fri! I can't wait.Grin

AngelGeorgie · 12/11/2012 19:17

Green glad your bleeding had stopped. Sometimes life hurts too much doesn t it? I find I want to stop thinking & quite often I can't... Xxx much love xx
Miasmum do sort your boiler out ... It's horrible... Ours went in Jan for 4 days when I was on mat leave & Phebs was 3 months old.. That was scarey ... We are members of a gym but of course, we ve currently suspended our membership as was costing us £80 a month to visit twice a month!!! Friends have offered the loan if their shower but its a lot of hassle with Phebs etc... So we re showering at my work in the am... !!!!
Kleine well done on the appt.. Xxx
Love to all , got to rush off for the world's smallest bath before it gets cold (= 11 kettles of water!!!) 4 days to boiler day GrinGrin come on Friday .... Xxx

fanjodisfunction · 12/11/2012 18:47

Thanks to rainbox for reminding me of the great Flight of the Conchords. Please ladies if you need a laugh watch the following link!

miasmum Mia's Legacy, the wood, the work you are going to do at the hospital and the love you show for her every day, its amazing. Your children are very lucky to have you. So excited for you, only a few weeks to go!

blue thinking of you constinitly, have you had any twinges? Did E go to full term?

green Im so glad your body has stopped the bleeding. Are you going to continue OV testing this week just in case its the miscarriage making it positive? Not sure how likly that is but I know that OPKS can be used as early warning signs of pregnancy so.

wtw thankyou for hot chocolate on sunday was lovely to see you and K and H again.

poppet thank you for you kind words, it is a hard journey and Im sure it has no end untill the day I die. We just get used to carrying this loss with us.

everyone else have a hug from me, I think we all deserve it.

right back to the crochet hook I think, have a few christmas pressies to be getting on with.

fanjodisfunction · 12/11/2012 14:45

Just a quick post to say thanks for all the making me feel nice posts, you are all fantastic women!

I will catch up later when I'm at home on the laptop.

MiaAlexandrasmummy · 12/11/2012 13:59

Hi there. All your lovely thoughts towards me and my little rainbow are just lovely - thank you.

Green remembering gorgeous Merryn, and her heart-shaped stones of love... I think it's ok to remind family that this is an important day every month. I do. Maybe by not 'officially' thinking about ttc, it might feel normal. After all, it is an enjoyable activity, but somehow, that can get lost when there are so many emotions and expectations around it all. Hmm. That sounds a little callous like that, as feeling normal is the last thing you are probably able to do after these last tumultuous months, but I hope you get what I mean...

Kleine yay for an appointment. Little steps.

fan hugs to you, you truly are my wonderwoman with your courage! Not that this really helps you, but know that you are loved and supported by your MN friends here.

blizy how are you feeling today after your brother's farewell?

angel personally, I would be adopting a friend / local gym in your situation!! Just makes me shiver. Yet for some bizarre reason, we are doing nothing about our own boiler, even though it is on its last legs and I have already said to MrMia I cannot think of anything worse than a cold house with a new baby and a houseful of family here for Christmas!!

amyboo what a scary week, but glad baby is ok, and that you can now be monitored on the discoveries which turned up. Hope it hasn't been too emotionally tough - or if so, that you are taking things easy this week.

blue on the countdown with you, sounds like you are well and truly ready for this baby to make an appearance!! I'd like baby to appear on cue, but wondering if it might want to choose its own birthday.

whatever loving all the photos of little H, she is so cute!! 12 weeks already...

elly hope your break away was what you needed, and that an offer for an alternative Christmas location has transpired. I have avoided baby clothes for almost a year, it is totally normal, I think. Online is definitely the way to go.

babyH loved your colours of autumn flowers. Made me smile. Thank you.

rainbox we are here for you, lovely. Just write when you can. Sometimes I find writing does feel overwhelming, other time it helps so much to clear my head and figure out why I am feeling the way I do.

I went through the year's worth of paperwork for Mia on Friday night, as it has been sitting on the floor of the study all this time, and we really do need to sort it out. MrMia came home to find me sobbing my heart out. I found a picture drawn by one of Mia's cousins of a rainbow, with MrMia and I holding hands with a little curly-topped red-head... and then I found the little packet of Mia's curls we have kept.

Today I have just done a joint interview with the local paper about working with two other bereaved mothers whose children also died in the same hospital. The hospital has approached us about becoming more involved, and as we have some very clear goals about what we want to achieve in terms of 1/ paediatric care 2/ communications with bereaved parents, we are really hoping that this time, the hospital is ready to listen and act.

KleinePoppet · 12/11/2012 12:50

I'll be thinking of Merryn today. I often think of her lovely little face. I wish you had been able to watch her grow - she would have been such a beauty. Much love xx

greengoose · 12/11/2012 12:00

Hi KLEINE, glad you have your appt sorted, well done!

The bit I had in my first post, the most important bit for me that, for some unconscious reason, I didn't re-write in my repost, is that today Merryn would have been seven months. I cant begin to believe it has been that long since she was born. It's far too long and time has made a mistake.

Love you Merryn, my little girl who wouldn't be so little anymore. I am the only one who remembered this month, maybe as it should be now. Xx

KleinePoppet · 12/11/2012 11:39

I forgot to say, I don't know much about Flight of the Conchords, so I just looked up 'Business Time' on YouTube. Ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaa! Grin

KleinePoppet · 12/11/2012 11:31

Hi green my lovely. My post just got eaten too!! Grrr....
You are on SUCH a rollercoaster. Actually, I think you're doing the only sensible thing - just going with it. You've explained so well on here that continuing ttc is the only thing you feel you can do. I do hope you are able to feel some sort of peace about it.
It's the very definition of 'one day at a time', isn't it?

Thank you for your kind words. Left a message first thing with the clinic - they called back a short while ago, and we now have an appt in ten days' time with our consultant... enough time to prepare ourselves a bit, but not too long to wait. Amazing, isn't it, how nervous you can be about making one little phonecall? But, it's done, the first step has been made, and I'm glad.

It really has been so quiet on here recently. I haven't been checking the thread as much as usual, either - for me, it's been because I've been out and about a little more, which I've been pleased about. But I think of you all so often, and am always hoping that everyone is ok. In fact, babyh, I had a dream about you in the wee hours of this morning - you announced your BFP on here Smile Here's hoping it'll soon come true! Sending loads of love to you all, esp amy today xx

greengoose · 12/11/2012 10:11

I am very fed up, I just wrote a very long post and my iPod ate it.
In summary then ( as now have no time)

KLEINE, my thoughts are with you, very brave lady, as you contact clinic today. Such an active step towards your rainbow baby. Hugs to you and MR KLEINE. Xxx

FAN... I hope this isn't your normal my love, you fight so hard for you and DH, but also for all of us. I can't imagine how you feel, but I hope it doesn't stay this way for you.

ANGEL... Bloody hell... How long until you get it all fixed? Hope Phebs picks up soon. X

RAINBOX and Fan... Also love Flight of the C here, everyone looking for light relief while ttc should listen to 'Business time' on YouTube!

Here things have finally stopped. On sat am woke up to no bleeding, like a tap had been turned off. Hormones seemed to flip too. Preg test a proper neg for first time. On sun am had all the symptoms of ov, so tested, and sure enough poss. My body is relentless, I don't know whether to be pleased with it or beg for a break. Anyway, we got down to 'business' so I am officially ttc again already. I feel a bit like a farm animal. My head has not adjusted to where I now am, I still feel like I am processing this MC rather than ttc, but I think I am so used to it all being a bit shit that I don't care anymore, I'll just see where this takes me and go with it. It's easier than deciding to stop. I can't think about it all too much. (but do little else at times).

Hi to everyone I've not 'spoken' to. You are all in my thoughts. X

AngelGeorgie · 11/11/2012 17:39

Kleine good luck on getting an appt... We re managing, just!!!! Using the shower at my work & the world's smallest baths at night for Phebs. It's horrible ... I m on countdown to Fri; Boiler day GrinGrinGrin... We ve not got a fire just a tower heater .... Woe is me . Phebs got a cold now on top of everything else!!! Xxx
Love to all xxxx

KleinePoppet · 11/11/2012 17:06

Oh amy, my goodness, how incredibly stressful. I am so glad that the little one - DS3! How wonderful - is still ok after such a horrid scare, but it must be so terribly difficult for you and DH. Your message sounds amazingly 'together' but I imagine you're not exactly feeling that way all the time. I'm so sorry for all of this and hope so VERY much that all will be well. I'm glad they picked up on the blood problems, too, although that's another huge thing to worry about, isn't it. Well done for keeping going. How is DS1 doing, with mummy being unwell and in hospital?

Huge hugs to mias and blue (I'm guessing they have to be huge right now, otherwise I wouldn't be able to get near you Wink). I hope you are both coping. mias, putting Mia's clothes away is such a big, terrible thing to have to do. Our situation is very different, but I can't bear to put E's clothes away yet. They are still in the drawer, and a couple of things are hanging out. I'm really glad you will be able to share Mia's books with her sibling and that her unused toys have gone to such a lovely home, to be shared with other children. Well done you.

green I am just so very very sorry that you're still bleeding. It has been SUCH a long time for you to have be going through this and be thinking of it all the time; utterly rubbish. I hope you're all having as lovely a family weekend as possible, and that tomorrow - the start of a new week - will really be a new beginning for you. Lots of love xx

elly lovie, did you previously say that you had an upcoming GP appt to discuss your ADs? I can't remember, sorry - but it really sounds like you are struggling., and I'm hoping you've got someone you can talk to about it. Or will you discuss it with your consultant? I am so sorry. Perhaps it's not the best time to be thinking about coming off them... I do know how complicated it is for you, though, to be pg and worried about taking them.
Also - sending love and complete understanding to you, about your best friend's little girl. I have found that it is really almost unbearable, in the days after someone close to you has a baby (particularly one of the gender that you lost). Trying hard to be happy for them, but really, just feeling deeply miserable and lost without your own little one. I wish Nancy were here with you Sad I hope that the growing bundle of joy in your tummy is of some comfort to you while you are dealing with it all. Have you seen the baby, or do you plan to?
(Our good friends are having a baby by C-section next week. I am completely torn between huge worry that the baby won't be ok, and then wishing it didn't exist, which I just hate myself for, and then hoping beyond hope that it isn't a girl. It's terrible to be having these feelings, but I can't stop them, and I have already learnt to accept them, and just to wait until they recede a little.)

fan your post made me wish SO very hard that I could help, do something to make things better. It really does sound like a strange time for you - time has healed your grief a little bit, but you are obviously feeling so - incomplete, is the word that comes to mind (not trying to put words in your mouth, so feel very free to correct me...). You're such a star, for keeping going in the way that you do, and for giving support to others while still having to struggle so hard for yourself. Keep on believing that good things are just round the corner. They will be there. Your future baby needs you to keep going now, in order that he or she can be with you one day - and I very very much hope that that day is soon. Much love xx

blizy you sound like such a proud, lovely big sister... I hope you give your brother a good send-off this weekend.
HOW annoying about your cycle though. I'm so sorry - very stressful for you. It seems to be catching round here! Do you have any idea what's gone on since you last posted - do you get ov pains or anything, that would give you a clue if you DID ov very late?

babyh I am glad you DID finally ov and that you and DH made up in time to make the most of it Grin Hope you are not going too mad in your tww xx

rainbox you sound so sad, but so determined to keep going. It's so tough, isn't it? Would you consider counselling now, or would you prefer to wait until you're pg? You and DH went through such a terrible time, and I can well imagine that you have many, many moments of Dexter's life engraved in your mind. I feel the same about E's life - the things that I am already thinking about, when I wake up in the morning - the horror of it going through my mind, of what she had to go through. I wish I could help you, but in the absence of being able to wave a magic wand, I will give you a hug and a very understanding hand squeeze instead xx

angel you must be freezing!!! Have you been able to, I don't know, make a fire out of your furniture, or something, to stay warm? What a nightmare. I am very much hoping that you have a few peaceful, calm, nothing-at-all-happening weeks and months ahead of you.

Wow this post is long.
Thank you all for your thoughts the last couple of days. It's been manageable. We are basically dreading six months, so, in comparison, five months doesn't seem like such a big thing. But it's still five months without our girl. And, isn't seeing your husband sobbing just the most terrible thing? He doesn't do it often. But he is so so sad.
Will be calling the fertility clinic tomorrow to make our first appt with our new consultant - hopefully in the next few weeks. We've emailed him already, he seemed nice and also compassionate enough to understand that this is going to be extremely hard for us. So, a good start!
Love to all. I am about to cook us a roast beef dinner yum Smile

amyboo · 11/11/2012 14:03

Oh, and we didn't have the amnio in the end, obviously! The scan on Monday showed the nasal bone at the right size for the age of the baby and so we're a bit reassured, and it would be way too risky to do an amnio now anyway. So, I guess DS3 took the decision out of our hands in the end!

amyboo · 11/11/2012 14:02

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't been on for a while again. I've not had time to read through every post, but hope that everyone's doing OK? I've just come home from a five day, four night stay in hospital. Had a massive bleed and cramping on Monday, when I thought I was losing the baby. Got rushed to hospital to discover that baby was fine, but they thought I had a fairly big placental abruption, due to placenta praevia. Bleeding thankfully stopped on Monday night, so they kept me in and rescanned on Friday to check the baby's growth. He (yes, a third boy!) had grown and was still happy, and they discovered thankfully that I didn't have a placental abruption, but instead had a separation between the amniotic sac and the uterus (subchorionic haematoma?). Anyway, they've let me home, but I have to take it easy for a couple of weeks and am off work for the foreseeable. Have another scan on Friday to check progress. To top it all, they've also discovered I may have a blood clotting problem whe my blood clots too much, so I'm now on daily blood thinning injections until I get the results back from some tests in a month. It may possibly be an explanation for our loss of DS2.... Anyway, I'm hoping that DS3 stays hanging on in there. I was convinced I was miscarrying on Monday. Today, however, I am pregnant. 16+6 and counting.

Sorry for not namechecking. Hope you're all OK. Virtual hugs to everyone struggling right now.
