Hi everyone - I've started the new thread as our original one is nearly full.

I really hope that this is the one where we all get our BFPs and don't have to experience any more heartache.

OP posts:
posyplum · 06/12/2012 10:55

ps you're right blunder you can def be happy and jealous, there should be a little face for that! x

Oh it was almond who asked about the mw!

Btw what is the consensus about coffee? How many cups of tea or coffee are we allowed, or are you guys giving up completely? I usually only have about 2 cups a day but not sure if I should just give up, or go onto just tea?

I will stop posting now Grin

posyplum · 06/12/2012 10:53

Almond yes the Asda ones are fab imo now, ha ha. I think they're exactly the same as the Morrisons which I did last month (and weren't so fab at the time!). How come you might have to have a c-section? I am already a bit worried about late pg as I had blood pressure issues last time.

Someone asked about when to ring the midwife (sorry I am losing track of all the posts!) - I am not going to til later on this time. I mc'd the day I booked in last time, and kept getting sent forms and appointments for weeks after Xmas Sad

Clairey my AF took 32 days to come, only 4 days longer than usual, but it takes longer for some people. It took me 5 months since mc to get a BFP. Like Blol it seemed ages at the time but seeing what other people go through I think it can be quite normal for it to take a while for the body to get back to normal. That said, I know two people who caught the month after the first AF, and it's not been unknown to catch without getting AF, which is why lots of people on here just went for it after the bleeding stopped. Fx for you. xxx

posyplum · 06/12/2012 10:47

And James - hurrah and congrats!!! Xmas Grin

posyplum · 06/12/2012 10:47

Ooh Betty sorry I missed your BFP -that's fab news!!! I have worked out that I am due on 16th Dec ish too so snap! Oh I hope this one sticks.

blundercatsHO · 06/12/2012 10:42

I get the feeling that Laura Ashley might become a metaphore for a heavy period...?! Well it would if not for the fact that we're all going to get the bfps so we won't need it.

bump and anda, you're officially leaving me behind then. Really glad you've got af though and you can start moving forward. Xmas Envy (wish there was a happy jealous face, this one looks too annoyed)

BumpKitty · 06/12/2012 10:12

Oh that's brilliant james so pleased for you - yey for awesome sperm :)

AF definitely arrived here, but no need for Laura Ashley as yet Grin

BraveLilBear · 06/12/2012 10:10

Wow! That's great news James! Fx it sticks and the line gets stronger.

And a 2-3 for almond, too Xmas Grin I self referred at 5+3 - a day after previous milestone. Superstitious, much. But may be beneficial to call quicker than that, still had nowt back and that was a week ago!

And a 3+ for GaryB Xmas Grin Every day it feels realer, doesn't it?

Good golly Anda that's the stuff of nightmares. And the dramatic entrance of the witch inappropriate snort cos it really isn't funny, but trying to make light of it

Fx you can take that £55 bad boy back.

kittenskittenskittens · 06/12/2012 09:52

Congrats James, that's fab news Grin did you poas opk just to compareWink

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 06/12/2012 09:42

Thanks, not counting my chickens yet though, seems a bit too good to be true right now! I didn't use a frer, just a cheap Internet dip strip thingy. Last time I was pg (with the blighted ovum) the line was fairly faint and never got properly dark and strong, so I won't get my hopes up til I see a nice dark line, or a 2-3 on a conception indicator.

I guess this means I'm back on decaf then... Xmas Smile

I haven't had many symptoms really, the boob pain was telling but it was only one or two quick pains, the only things I've had the last few days are a constant unquenchable thirst, I've been crying at adverts films, and I've fallen fast asleep on the sofa in the evenings, which is unlike me as I'm usually a caffeine fiend who stays up til midnight.

I woke dp up and told him at 6.50am, he was just like "zzz my sperm is awesome zzzzz" Xmas Hmm Xmas Grin

AlmondFrangipani · 06/12/2012 08:52

James that is fab news!! Xmas Grin! Keep us posted! Did you use a FRER?

Anda OMG that sounds awful...I hate Laura Ashley! On the positive side at least she appeared...

Clairey it too 45 days for mine to reappear. It felt a very long time but what I was expecting was how messed up my cycles were after. I went from a very long cycle to very short ones with 2 day periods. It's really hard as I felt panicked about it at first but I have just got my BFP after MC in August. You will get there.

Peanut dogs are fickle arent they! Ive got a black lab and it doesnt take much to get him to be well behaved Xmas Wink.

Used my last CB digi this morning at it came back 2-3 weeks so that has made me feel better!!! Going to try not to buy anymore.

To all the BFPers when are you guys calling your midwife? I didnt get that far before so I just wondered when you are meant to?

blundercatsHO · 06/12/2012 08:19

Xmas Grin james!! Xmas Grin Xmas Grin
And this is without af? Love it. Sticky vibes your way.

Oh anda that's horrific. I will definitely be staying close to the bloody huge pads OH mistakenly bought some decent sanitary wear.
Has it calmed down now? It's good that she appeared but no need to be quite so dramatic!

Bakingtins · 06/12/2012 08:13

James that's brilliant news! What a month!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 06/12/2012 07:05

& sticky vibes James!

Congrats to posy too.

anda, sorry you've had to go to Laura Ashley. Hope everything has calmed down now?

Pink, enjoy your long weekend (well, hope you had a good long weekend!).

Got my 3+ yesterday & have had to buy 2 sizes up in non-maternity trousers as mine weren't doing up anymore...so feeling a bit more positive.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 06/12/2012 06:59

Psst... I have a very very faint bfp here. Not getting too excited til the risk of cp is past, but still... Smile

BumpKitty · 06/12/2012 00:10

Oh no anda that's terrible, I had no idea that that was even a possibility!

I had a bit of cramping today and some red bleeding (it has been brown for ages) so thought AF was starting but since then had a bit more brown stuff then nothing, so back to WTF? for me... hope we get some definite AF action soon thunders (or BFP!)

I can't go back a page without losing what I've typed so from memory...
almond hope you get your 3+ soon
posy congratulations on BFP
peanut what a brilliant present - I'm going to capture our feral cat and make her pose for a Christmas picture! :)

hi to everyone else, hope all you pg people are reassuringly nauseous and hormonal Grin - disclaimer - I wasn't nauseous at all with DD but will still be trying to feel sick when I get pg again :)

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 05/12/2012 23:35

I'd take the skirt back too if you can! Poor you! Is the first af after a mc usually so dramatic? (I still haven't had an af yet but it's only been like 3 or 4 weeks since the mc) I may carry some pads round with me just in case now!

Caved and poas this morning, negative but my imaginoscope always sees a feckin line whether or not there actually is one. Hmm

BlingJingleJanie · 05/12/2012 23:18

Oh anda that's horrible :( sorry you had to go through that :( hope tomorrow is a better day. Don't suppose you left the tags on the skirt? Maybe you could've got away with taking it back tomorrow?! Oops is that my naughty streak coming out?! Xxx

andadietcoke · 05/12/2012 22:13

blunder and everyone else waiting for AF, be careful what you wish for.

Today I had to go out at lunchtime to buy and entire bottom half change of clothes plus maternity pads. Never known anything like it - think it might have been worse than the mc! And to add insult to injury I work in a little Cheshire town unless I wanted very wag-y evening wear, my only option was to add insult to injury Laura sodding Ashley. I now own a really ugly, £55 (sale bargain!!) skirt!

BlingJingleJanie · 05/12/2012 21:42

hey clairy i'm at 9 weeks and still counting :(

BombasticPeanut · 05/12/2012 21:37

blundercats I'm not sure I want to see the emoticon for supersucks! I think we all have just cause to be a little bit evil sometimes. I am definitely an evil Peanut on occasion, and have lots of highly strung evil strops at the slightest provocation.

almond am going to try and hold out until 12th, although there's every chance I'll break before then! fx your digi goes up soon but don't worry too much about it, they're not super reliable at the best of times.

clairey AF is an unpredictable bitch on this thread! It took 12 weeks for mine to come back, MC beginning Aug, had a weird 'nearly' bleed in October and a proper AF in November, now hoping for a BFP before Christmas. but obviously not obsessing at all For some people it came back straight away though, there's just no way of knowing which camp you're going to be in I'm afraid x

For those who are interested, the dog thinks I'm AMAZING because she got so many treats during the shoot. The cats aren't speaking to me at all.

blundercatsHO · 05/12/2012 21:21

clairey I think unfortunately it can take longer than 6 weeks but the advice I got was if no af after 6 weeks then to do a hpt. Maybe worth a ring to the clinic just for peace of mind?

almond definitely try not to panic re digi I reckon. Definitely give it a bit longer, and don't forget theyre an indication not a definite science.

BettyFlutterbly · 05/12/2012 21:15

Yey congrats Posy.

I have got everything crossed for this week's poasers!

I am on knicker watch (sorry tmi) in case I start bleeding. I am shatered and feeling nauseas already, which I have to admit I am quite enjoying for now!

Almond I didn't realise you got your bfp. Yay! I am due 16th Aug but just trying to take it one day at a time eek impossible!
Clairey I got my af about 32 days after mc which was pretty lucky as my cycles are 31 days.
Sorry I can't reply to everyone I can't keep up!

Xx

BelissimaLol · 05/12/2012 21:07

Funny you say that as the few people who know about it seem to think its happened awfully quick! But when you ttc you know.
Tbh I was gutted in sep when af came and after that decided to relax a bit. Still did opk etc but tried to carry on as normal. Still went out, had a few drinks, planned holidays as if nothing was happening. It was an actual shock to get it this month. It's only the third one so I guess I have been lucky.
Don't put too much pressure on yourself is the best advice I can give you. You need time to recover from mc first. Try and take it a bit easy and wait for bfn/af before you start again. It will happen again Grin

Clairey2012 · 05/12/2012 20:06

Omg belissima, its awful to say bt th past few months must have been agonising for u, how on earth did u cope, wel dun u for not giving up tho.x

BelissimaLol · 05/12/2012 20:02

I had mc in July and got my bfp last week. Good luck x
