Hi everyone - I've started the new thread as our original one is nearly full.

I really hope that this is the one where we all get our BFPs and don't have to experience any more heartache.

OP posts:

Thanks for all the condolences and sorry for your crap time horse what a fuck up - i'm glad they apologised.
I'm definitely thinking medical management is the option for me (assuming it doesn't all kick off over the weekend). Thanks for the warning messtins it sounds so much more dignified in the leaflet! Did you go for tablet straight away or further down the process? I can just imagine that I will take weeks to get a BFN too after how long my natural mc has taken! Maybe if I just think I won't be ttc till the new year it'll be easier to deal with.
Hope you all have a lovely Friday evening

BraveLilBear · 09/11/2012 16:01

Oh Horse that's terrible! I'm so sorry they did that Sad.

At least they had the decency to apologise.

Hope the squirrels/general other (friendly) wildlife, cheer you up a bit.

SallysTrying · 09/11/2012 15:50

Thank you horse! The scan thing is just horrible, so sorry. I try as hard as I can to forget about how far along I would have been, it's really hard to have reminders like that.

AWomanCalledHorse · 09/11/2012 15:24

Just received my 12 week scan date info through the post, phoned them up & they were very sorry that no one had noted that I phoned & told them, but it's still made me feel like utter shit. :(

Sallys, I use the internet cheapy tests & got my faint mc bfp at 9dpo so fingers crossed Monday brings good news!

Brave, ooh squirrel feeding, our weekend will be very similar to yours! We've had crap/busy few weeks so looking forward to just doing nothing.

Sorry your scan was rubbish Kittybump, hope you have a nice relaxing weekend & are able to get a negative hpt asap. x

SallysTrying · 09/11/2012 14:29

Sorry your scan was rubbish, Kitty. Hope whatever you decide to do is as gentle on you as it can be.

BraveLilBear I suspect I will break down and poas on Monday - I will be 10 dpo then which is probably a bit early to test, but I have had a fairly short LP so I would be expecting AF then anyway... unless the mc has changed my cycles.

messtins · 09/11/2012 13:49

Sorry to hear that, Kitty. I had medical management for my recent miscarriage. "Taking some tablets" is another of their little euphemisms - you need to insert them up near your cervix with a tampon, 24 hours apart. I did the first one in hospital and they monitor you for an hour or so then did the second one myself at home. I had quite painful contractions so I'd ask for some more hefty painkillers because paracetamol did not cut the mustard (and I've had 2 children with just G+A). It did get rid of my retained products though - I was rescanned about 4 days later and got the all clear. It did take 3 weeks after that for my HPT to be negative though....

KittyBump · 09/11/2012 13:28

Ah echo thanks for reminding me about that relaxation exercise I might try that! I never had many pg symptoms with my pg that resulted In DD or my mc; hope you don't go to crazy from symptom spotting :)
Well the news from my scan is crap - still the same as last week. I got really upset though it wasn't too surprising as I did a hpt this morning and it was very positive. they've sent me away for the weekend to decide what I want to do, I think I'm going to try the taking the tablets option. Good luck for anyone testing soon x

EchoAlone · 09/11/2012 13:18

Do you know that "exercise" to relieve stress, where one lies back and thinks of their toes, really concentrating on making them relaxed, then the foot, (focusing totally on nice, stress-free relaxed foot), then the ankle (completely absorbed by thoughts of calm, relaxed, ankle), the calf (100% experiencing loose, not clenched, soft calf), the thigh ( mindully concentrating on the floppy, loose, stress-less thigh), ect...sometimes with relaxing music in the background, sometimes with a nicely scented candle or oil burning? I swear I have started doing that for symptoms- lying back- do my toes feel pregnant (no...), do my feet (no...), do my ankles (no, and some women do have symptoms in their ankles- like Sybil in Downton), do my legs (no....) and upward....the only thing I feel is some twinges on the lower right hand side and I think this may be a UTI, not pg.... Obsessing, much?

BraveLilBear · 09/11/2012 12:49

Good luck KittyBump

Sallys when are you due to POAS? I'm in the 2ww too, T-Nov 18th. And I bet you enjoyed that glass Smile I may have had a couple of glasses in the last week myself... but am only in week 1 so refuse to feel guilty. Is that really bad of me?! Confused

Horse quiet weekend for me, have DSS staying tonight, which is always fun. May feed squirrels in park tomorrow if not too cold Grin

What's everyone else up to?

AWomanCalledHorse · 09/11/2012 11:17

Good luck at the scan today KittyBump.

Sallys, hope your DH is right!

Wine to all those currently being visited by the witch, fingers crossed for everyone in the 2ww.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, anything exciting planned?

SallysTrying · 09/11/2012 10:56

KittyBump - I was also told after my ERPC that I could try as soon the bleeding had stopped... so we did. And the ERPC genuinely wasn't too bad for me physically - not too much pain/bleeding etc. FX the scan goes ok though and you don't need one.

Wine to all the ladies that the witch got. I had a small glass myself last night despite 2ww - DH disapproved because he's convinced I'm pregnant. I am not so sure, but we'll see.

MunchinMango · 08/11/2012 22:23

Messtins Wine to you and all fellow ladies caught by the whoosh !!!

That must have been hard babyjames trying to be objective and its all you want.

Hope scan is clear kitty bump. I had an erpc and was told your good to go once bleeding has stopped. But hopefully you won't need it.

Peanut sometimes it's the time you have no symptoms that you get pg. fx.

YorkshirePeanut · 08/11/2012 21:53

Just checking in with you all as MN has chucked me off the 'threads you're on'!

Hi to all the new faces (names..) so sorry you're all here. I'll go back and catch up on all your stories in a bit x

baby, messtins, posy, betty and munchin sorry that the witch got you Sad. FX for you all for December! I think I'm going to poas on Tuesday if she hasn't got me too, but not holding out much hope so expect I'll be joining you in the Dec 2ww. Symptom spotting is rubbish when I'm so symptom free that I can't even imagine any!

kittybump hope scan goes as well as it can tomorrow

lol that's bloody hard. I hope your friend is understanding if you feel you can't cope.

babyjamesblackberrycrumble · 08/11/2012 20:07

no Wine in the house :( I have chocolate though so all is not lost!
FX all is clear 2mor Kittybump

KittyBump · 08/11/2012 19:59

and messtins no AF for me obviously but I'll join you in a Wine :)

KittyBump · 08/11/2012 19:58

Sorry for everyone who's been visited by the witch. Considering poas myself later to see if I get a BFN - some indication of what my scan will show tomorrow, i'm rather despondent about it and think they'll say that it's still not clear. If you have a ERPC does that mean you can't ttc for a while?

messtins · 08/11/2012 19:22

Anyone else who has been caught by the witch (or perhaps that should be "the whoosh") joining me for a Wine tonight? And why is there not a Chocolate emoticon?

messtins · 08/11/2012 19:21

We love Room on the Broom. DS2 was wittering on about a "whoosh in the window" for ages and I couldn't figure out what he was on about. Eventually worked out it was the Halloween witch in the sweet shop - "the witch tapped her broomstick and whoosh they were gone" so whoosh=witch.
Tough situation babyjames. So hard to hear about unwanted babies when it's all you want. Hope you are ok.

babyjamesblackberrycrumble · 08/11/2012 18:57

I'm def up for a December early Christmas BFP. Cycle day 2 for me. Naughty uppity witch! Just got my DS a new book from the supermarket 'Room on a Broom' all about a witch! What was I thinking!!!
Anyone else have cycles around 32 days? Be nice to have a testing buddy. We really went for it this month and cut out the coffee and eat healthily but alas it still wasn't meant to be. To make things worse a young person I work with was discussing with me her hard decision whether or not to abort her baby :( :( :( was a hard thing to hear.

MunchinMango · 08/11/2012 15:51

Sorry to hear that AF has got so many this week. On the plus side we seem to have a good gang together as cycle buddies ie Betty, Babyjames, Messtins, Posy and me!!!

AFM i can honestly say that this feels like the first proper AF I have had since coming off the pill in Aug 2011. Heres hoping that means something.

Heres to BFPs in December for everyone.

messtins · 08/11/2012 13:56

That's what comes of giving the witch too much attention at Halloween - she gets all uppity and claims her victims!
Betty babyjames Posy and me - we're all going to be super fertile in December and have BFPs for an early Christmas present!

Clairey2012 · 08/11/2012 12:27

Hi posyplum, fingers crossed for u then next month. you will just have to wear out your other half this month by doing it every oportunity you get. wel thats my plan anyway. Good luck.xxxxx

posyplum · 08/11/2012 10:57

Hello everyone, another one for the witch! I am now on cd1 or cycle 5 - sigh. So much for conceiving straightaway. Feeling really gutted this morning - I know I'll get over it but I am getting a bit fed up of this ttc rollercoaster! Why is it taking so long!!! Rant over :)

xxx

BraveLilBear · 08/11/2012 10:48

Echo re Secret etc - if you're stressing, you're not doing it right! The idea is that feeling happy and relaxed (like you already have it) is the most powerful thing. And if you think about it, being happy and relaxed makes DTD more fun and ergo bean-generation more likely.

If you can daydream and it makes you feel happy, that's a good thing to do. If you daydream/visualise and you feel sad, angry or stressed, then it's obviously not good.

I was feeling really positve and happy and excited on my first outing, but don't know if I'll be able to get past the fear in future. When/if I can, then I might let myself have positive visualisations IYSWIM.

BraveLilBear · 08/11/2012 10:44

Oh no! Sorry to hear that the witch has been in liberal flypast mode Betty, BabyJames and Messtins Sad

Echo - I'm with messtins would never POAS until AF is late. Cos I'm stubborn and don't want to risk CP agony - not that it helped last time, grr. I got myself a twin pack of CBDCI. They cost a small fortune but figured the clear yes/no would be worth it.

Because they cost a small fortune, there was no way I was going to risk waiting them on a late AF flyby. Maybe a tactical switch is in order?!
