Well got another BFN day before yesterday so that's me out for the cycle I'm afraid.
On a positive note, have an appointment with a specialist on Friday so let's see what they say. Essentially last year my periods had basically stopped so this follows from that. They had scanned me and basically had said I should see them if I wanted to conceive because my chances naturally speaking were low.

HazleNutt · 06/11/2012 09:53

You'll get there! And will have a whole lot of new things to worry about.
Who's POASing next?

BraveLilBear · 06/11/2012 09:47

Pipbin I'm laughing out loud at that Grin wonder if Nigella ever entertained the same thought?!

Welcome Kitten

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 06/11/2012 09:30

bunny we'll get there too soon I hope Smile

Bunnygirlie · 05/11/2012 20:13

Welcome kitten!

Pipkin that is hilarious!

All your PG stories are interesting, scary, fascinating but I'm still so incredibly jealous!

Welcome kitten!!

Pipbin · 05/11/2012 19:09

Hi Kitten and welcome.
Oh the pavlova was only 3 egg whites.
Sorry to be grim, but I'm never going to look at egg white the same way again after TTCing.

KittenCamile · 05/11/2012 19:07

Hi can I join?!

I'm 31 and just started ttc this week but had a very stressful month so not expecting any bfp this cycle.

Everyone at my working pregnant too, we are all a similar age but its really hard not to have green eyes with them.

Good luck to everyone testing soon

Hazle I don't have proper morning sickness either. I've had a few small infrequent waves of nausea and that's it. I've just got slightly sore nipples, increased appetite and today I have fatigue (but I suspect that is due to a crap night's sleep followed by a full day of meetings rather than PG).
No spotting for 2 days now though so I'm feeling cautiously positive again and we should maybe both be pleased that we have so far not been attacked by the scourge of proper morning sickness? Grin

Aquarius1 · 05/11/2012 18:39

Someone facebooked me recently announcing they're expecting their second child... Oh good I'm so glad you told me... Envy

Janey sorry about fag breath lodger... We have a lodger too - makes spontaneous sex a bit tricky... Luckily they're leaving soon...

winkle2 · 05/11/2012 18:27

It's so hard when others fall and you're still waiting. I'm dreading the next few months as 2 people I know have just married and another told me she was going to start trying in oct. So I'm expecting their BFP's before mine.

Pipbin · 05/11/2012 18:10

Another woman at my work is pregnant.
That makes 3. I was hoping I would be number 3.
However, this woman has been trying for a long time and had a miscarriage so I am pleased for her.

Lolcbcblemonlime · 05/11/2012 17:31

OMG what a day!!! One of my best friends who is just 24 and has been dumped by her boyfriend last week has just found out she is pregnant while on the freaking pill!!!!! The poor girl is in bits. Spent the day looking after her and she kept apologising to me as she knows what I'm going through. Life is cruel Sad

janey1234 · 05/11/2012 13:05

Good plan brave - maybe we should all have a cake day, by way of support?

hazle - I hoped as much, thanks for confirming!

BraveLilBear · 05/11/2012 12:13

Quod that really sucks. All the Skype etc in the world doesn't make up for that. You got any distractions planned to get you to tomorrow evening?

Cake day? Grin

HazleNutt · 05/11/2012 11:58

Line coming up faster and darker is definitely a good sign, more hcg in the system.

janey1234 · 05/11/2012 11:46

Oh quod that sucks! But remember everything we've been saying about cancelled flights - you claim that compensation....

How you feeling? I was nearly sick last night when our lodger (he's been my lodger for years and didn't have the heart to ask him to move out when DP moved in too - he will obv be booted out soon though if this all continues in the right direction) popped into the lounge to say goodnight having just been for a fag. I have honestly NEVER smelt anything so completely disgusting, for about half an hour afterwards I was moaning about the smell and convinced I could still smell it. Ugh. Apart from that no other symptoms really... Did POAS again this morning, just for the hell of it, and the line was faster and darker than last time. Do we think this is good, or irrelevant, and not necessarily a good OR a bad sign?

Quodlibet · 05/11/2012 11:20

So how about this for rubbish: DP's flight has now been cancelled, so he is stuck in Japan and won't be home until tomorrow evening now!! We have had shit luck this week - I was really looking forward to seeing him after spending the last 5 days here in the flat by myself. We've still only seen each other for 24 hrs since I got the BFP. Angry

BraveLilBear · 05/11/2012 10:18

BTW - have found the perfect 2ww distraction - our boiler has blown up. Now at seven days no heat or hot water (grateful that everything else electric, inc shower).

Oh - and I had a royal visit at the weekend from my mother, who I think is still in denial about us TTC as she didn't mention it at all... The cleaning frenzy was highly distracting and had a definite positive side effect, too! Grin

BraveLilBear · 05/11/2012 10:16

I hear your pain on the coffee front Quod! I have cut back caffeine too. When I got my BFP before, I stripped it back straight away to one cup of coffee in the morning then decaf/water rest of the day.

Coffee is my one guilty pleasure. Honestly. Never did drugs or smoked (led a sheltered life to date lol) but coffee is and always has been my friend.

But instead of missing it, I've decided to really enjoy my one cup of leaded every day... plus there are half a dozen cafes where I work, and all but one are Costa, with the other Starbucks. They all do decaff. So it doesn't hurt so bad. Grin

Echo the babies everywhere thing - ridiculous! The day I lost my last pg at 5+2, the OH and I were watching the first season of How I Met Your Mother. The particular episode was all about am I/aren't I pregnant with lots of drama - totally unexpected! Didn't entirely see the funny side!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 05/11/2012 09:07

pipbin that pavlova looks YUM!!

HazleNutt · 05/11/2012 08:49

Bunny, this might be a solution?

(not that your DH looks anything like that guy, but you get my drift)

Bunnygirlie · 05/11/2012 08:34

Have a bit of a problem this month, hubby growing a mo so soon I won't want to go near him Confused

OP posts:
HazleNutt · 05/11/2012 08:23

Morning all,

happylass, I got the BFP also around 10 dpo. As I complained though, the so-called ulta-sensitive tests were showing a N several days after the Cb digital was telling me "pregnant", so also depends on what tests you are using.

7+3 here and now worried that I don't have proper morning sickness, just a very mild one. Although a) not that it's anything pleasant, b) not all women get it and c) had a bad one last time at 5 weeks already and it didn't work out, so it does not actually show anything.

The boobs are indeed growing, good I have a trip to London planned in a few weeks anyway, as the French don't believe anything over a C-cup exists.
