Oh of course you cried quod, sounds rubbish. But worth it in the end...

Don't feel sick still, and i know it's odd, but I really really want to. Having said that a couple of times smells have made me want to vomit on the spot (eg fab-breath lodger) so I'm hoping that was something. I know if I did get morning sickness I'd immediately regret wishing I had it, but I'm just so scared of it all going wrong in two month's time, and want some more symptoms to reassure me. I do still have ridiculous boobs still though, bit tender but weirdly solid, really think it looks like I've had an unnecessary boob job.

captain and bunny - you can be like me and quod. We were on the exact same cycle and got our BFP's on the same month - hopefully you will too.

Quodlibet · 08/11/2012 11:28

Good luck for your scan Hazle and hope docs goes well Janey. I've got mine tomorrow.

I am definitely starting to feel nauseous today - just low-level but it is there.

DP and I sat down with a calendar and plotted all work/pg/home milestones for the next 9 months. Realised if we are to have any hope of moving into a new house before May when my work gets very full-on, we need to find our house and get an offer accepted by the end of January really. Eek. I may have cried a small amount at the idea of going into a stressful work period with all my stuff in boxes and 7 months pregnant.

captainmoll · 08/11/2012 11:06

Hazle I get like that without the excuse of being PG! Grin
Bunny we are clearly living some kind of parallel life. We can hold digital hands in the 2WW though, which is nice.
Zombies sorry about AF.
Pip you'll just have to DTD double when when he's better Wink

HazleNutt · 08/11/2012 10:50

So interesting with all the scans coming up, I wonder if we get any twin Elderberries?

Oh, does anybody else have cravings? I sit at my desk and suddenly I absolutely need something. And not jsut in a normal "oh would be nice to ahve that for dinner" way, but so badly I can't think about anything else. Last week it was egg salad sandwich, then chips, yesterday green curry. Just waiting what's next, probably something really difficult to find here.

HazleNutt · 08/11/2012 10:27

I should be exactly 8 weeks tomorrow, if we count from the mc.

Fingers crossed for you too, they really should give you the scan considering the circumstances.

janey1234 · 08/11/2012 10:24

Oh, sorry, and zombies - sorry that evil cow AF has shown her face again Sad

As everyone says a Christmas BFP would be pretty damn special though....

janey1234 · 08/11/2012 10:23

Excellent hazle. Still, am sure you'll have a lovely time en paris...

Good luck for tomorrow. How many weeks are you again?

I've got the doctors this afternoon. I think I'm going to ask for a resassurance scan after last time - I've now started to worry about going to Dubai for six days with the girls, and then Thailand for 17 days with DP, without knowing if things are going to plan so far, think it would drive me mad. I'm hoping they're sympathetic. I'm already spending £200 on a private nuchal scan when we land on 24th in the hope that all is OK and we can tell our families at Christmas, and don't really want to have to pay for another private one. Even if the doctors say no, I read online for the hospital I'm going to be referred to that if you've had a previous miscarriage you're able to refer yourself to the early pregnancy unit for a scan, and they were lovely last time, so I wonder if they might just see me...

Fingers crossed for tomorrow Hazle...

HazleNutt · 08/11/2012 09:41

I've just had an expensive blonde moment. So I need a new passport, nearest embassy is in Paris - 3,5 h on the train. A friend is visiting soon, so I suggested that while she's here, we could go to Paris for a couple of days. So bought the train tickets, paid for the hotel..and then realised that I'm flying to London just 2 days after that and could just go to the embassy there. Gah. Can I blame this on the pregnancy brain?

Scan tomorrow morning. Worried, of course.

Quodlibet · 07/11/2012 23:06

Sorry to hear that Zombies - and FX for a BFXmasP.
Poor you Rach, that must be really hard with your puppy sad

Hazle I am considering moving to Estonia too! Sounds amazing.

winkle2 · 07/11/2012 23:02

Sorry she got you zombies :(

Aquarius1 · 07/11/2012 23:02

rach I was thinking Sunday with my expensive FRER test but might have got my maths wrong... I got a Smile on the 31st and 1st with a CB digi test so might not have o'd til 2nd... So Sunday would be 10dpo .... Poss too early but I'll prob give it a go anyway...

Hope your puppy starts smelling better for you soon. my friends chocolate lab wouldn't leave her side during her first few months - so adorable

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 07/11/2012 22:24

Thanks guys yes a Christmas BFP would be pretty bloody special so fx Smile

Rache1S · 07/11/2012 22:17

Sorry about AF Zombies but how nice would a Christmas BFP be?

Aquarius when do you think you will crack and POAS? I was determined to wait until 14 DPO but caved at 12.

Hazle I think I could live with the cold in return for 18 months full pay followed by free childcare. It's not exactly tropical here after all Smile

I can safely say that I am now in the grips of pregnancy-induced nausea. From the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep I feel sick to varying degrees and the most worrying part is I have a feeling it's going to get worse. I can smell absolutely everything x100 and the worst part is the smell of my cute little puppy makes me feel especially sick. He thinks his Mummy has gone off him Sad

Purplemonster · 07/11/2012 21:59

Sorry Zombies, fx for a festive bfp.

HazleNutt · 07/11/2012 21:31

Rach, Estonia. I probably shouldn't mention that it also offers full time, free childcare from the age of 1,5 years? Bit too cold for my taste though.

Sorry zombies..

Aquarius1 · 07/11/2012 21:11

Sorry zombies... Here's hoping the next 2 ww comes around quickly & you get a Xmas bfp!

Pip hope DH feels better soon.

I'm a week away from af / bfp and feeling just the same as last month at t minus 7 days.... Really bloated and gassy (nice), slightly crampy, and boobs hurt- specially when walking round the office in my heels. Darn those heels. Ho hum....

Pipbin · 07/11/2012 21:03

How are we doing today ladies?
Sorry to hear about AF Zombies

DH has been feeling poorly so our idea of DTD EOD has failed at the first hurdle. However the CBFM, henceforth known in our house as a 'baby gameboy' says low, so I'm not too worried.

Rache1S · 07/11/2012 20:57

Where is your original country Hazle? I may relocate! Grin

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 07/11/2012 20:55

Whoopsie AF creeping up it would appear!!
Hysterical smiley Grin

Bunnygirlie · 07/11/2012 20:51

Hey captain I have been inputting my dates on 2 diff apps on my iPad and one says 14th the other 16th so sounds like we're in sync lol.
I'm gonna start using ov sticks from this weekend onwards I think and also trying to DTD every other day. Just hoping that hubby has a less stressful week next week so he's up for it (so to speak) ;-)

HazleNutt · 07/11/2012 20:13

Yes, 3 months full pay and in principle you could take more unpaid, but I doubt that would be possible in my case.
In my original country we get 3 years, 1,5 on full pay, paid by state (parental leave, so can be shared by mum and dad as you wish), so imagine my shock when I started working here.
Lot of women in Switzerland just quit when they have kids. As I'm the main earner, I won't have the option (nor would I want to), but luckily DH can stay home, so at least we don't have to put this tiny 3-month old to nursery or anything.

Rache1S · 07/11/2012 20:02

Quod Can't you claim SMP direct from the government if you're self-employed? Not that it's really worth having! Do you think you'll feel ok to work right up to due date? I know plenty of women do Smile

Rache1S · 07/11/2012 19:59

3 months is terrible!! Is it on full pay though and there an option to take extended leave unpaid? Seems very short if not.

I think the last 3 months of maternity leave here is unpaid but employers still have to keep your job open if you choose to take it.
I just looked up Statutory Maternity Pay which is all my tight wad employers are willing to pay to their hard-working and loyal female employees who require time off to further the evolution of the species and apparently it's 90% of salary for 6 weeks and then a whopping £135 a week for the next 33 weeks, which is absolutely appalling considering the amount of sodding tax i've paid in over the years!! No wonder people say babies are really expensive... prams, cots and nappies cost next to nothing compared to the amount of lost earning potential!

Quodlibet · 07/11/2012 19:53

Before I AM due!

Quodlibet · 07/11/2012 19:53

I get zero maternity leave or sick pay as I am self employed. Oh and the biggest project I've ever done and am co-leading on culminates a week before I due. Can't really afford financially for me to have any time off which is scary...
