:( pip

janey1234 · 29/10/2012 15:29

Mind you I hope they're open between Christmas and NY or I will be in a right pickle too... Oh no....

janey1234 · 29/10/2012 15:28

I think the NT scan has to be between 11 and 13 or something? I may well call the hospital myself at some point and ask, but I can only have it done on Christmas eve (if it's true they can't do it before 11 weeks) due to the hol. Aaaargh damn 17 night holiday getting in the way Wink

Quodlibet · 29/10/2012 14:44

Janey I am hoping for an NHS one before Xmas because I doubt they will do one between Xmas and NY, so I'd be 13 weeks at least if it was after NY, and they have to do the NT scan before 13+6 to get worthwhile results. On the NHS website is says they normally do the first scan between 8 and 12 weeks (am I being stupidly optimistic here?!)

Pipbin · 29/10/2012 13:44

Quod I'd have liked to have done it without Clomid but I think that any help is good really.
Lol I'm not that positive really. I cry a moan and complain, but then it doesn't do any good does it.

Red spotting and cramps now, I'm sure the witch [henvy] is on her way. I just hope she can hold off until tomorrow. Still, at least I have a good length LP.

janey1234 · 29/10/2012 13:05

The first appointment I can get at the doctors purple is on 8th November, and even then it's in the middle of the day, basically meaning I'll have half a day out of the office. Annoying! Am a teensy bit Envy you're getting in the system so soon! ;o)

Considering trying to get a private scan when I land back from Thailand (land 6am on Christmas eve) - if I could have a scan that day (and I know this is a long way off) it would mean we could tell our families on Christmas day if everything was OK. Plus after mc at 12 weeks last time it would be lovely to know if everything was OK. Suspect NHS one won't be until the start of the new year given I will be 12 weeks on Christmas day...

Purplemonster · 29/10/2012 11:59

Awww Pip, that's so FRUSTRATING. I really hope you get your BFP soon.

Doctors appointment today. Will see what he says about dates, digital thingy test said 2-3 weeks (would be 3 by my reckoning) since conception so 4/5 weeks pregnant by the stupid way doctors work it out.

Lolcbcblemonlime · 29/10/2012 11:54

Wow I'm amazed at how positive you are pip. I'm Envy of your resolve.

Quodlibet · 29/10/2012 10:25

I haven't had any symptoms yet at all, other than these allergies (could just be a change in pollen) and achy boobs (but as per normal for me). I did feel tired yesterday and have a siesta, but again, could just be normal laziness!

Pip that is a very pragmatic perspective. Sorry you've had no BFP and no AF, how frustrating. How are you feeling about the Clomid?

Pipbin · 29/10/2012 10:11

Well my way of looking at it is this:
Next cycle would work much better for me timing wise as I would be able to get to the end of the academic year before starting maternity leave.
Also, I am glad that AF isn't here yet as I don't want her to arrive too early before my fertility clinic appointment on Wednesday. That way I might be able to get going on Clomid straight away.

Also, I'm doing the Clearblue Trial for the CBFM and this is my last cycle of doing that. If I fail to conceive during the trial then I get to keep the CBFM for free!

janey1234 · 29/10/2012 09:58

Oh pip how frustrating for you. It just gets to the point where you want to know, and if it's a BFN, just get on with the next month. Fx it was a false negative for you...

Pipbin · 29/10/2012 09:36

Well I'm 13 DPO today and still only spotting, no AF.
So I POAS but bfn.

HazleNutt · 29/10/2012 09:32

Yes, otherwise sleeping fine. No morning sickness really - have felt slightly nauseous, but so slightly that I'm not sure if it's there or I'm imagining it. Everything smells funny though, poor DH is forced to sniff all food, as it all smells off to me, even if it clearly isn't..

janey1234 · 29/10/2012 09:21

Oh and hazle - I'm not irritable (yet) but am having crazy dreams already. And have gone over four days from someone who sleeps incredibly well to an insomniac! I keep waking up at 3am desperate for the loo (not like me) then am tired, but wide awake and unable to get back to sleep. Fri night I was awake 2.30am - 5am, Saturday night 2.45am - at least 5.30am, and then last night woke at 2.30, 3.30 and 4.30. It must be the hormones - I asked my friend who's 12 weeks and she had/has exactly the same. Are you sleeping OK apart from the strange dreams? And got any morning sickness, or not?

janey1234 · 29/10/2012 08:52

Ah zombies, we've all done it..... Few more days to go and you might might might get an accurate response from first response? The temptation is too much! Fx for BFP in a few days time

HazleNutt · 29/10/2012 08:49

Morning, pregnant and soon to be pregnant Elderberries! How's Monday? I think there's something happening with my hormones, everything irritates me. Keep having the same dream over and over, that I've forgotten a class (fitness, I teach some as a hobby), so am late and haven't prepared. And now really want an egg salad sandwich..

happylass · 29/10/2012 08:10

Ok so OV took me completely by surprise yesterday on cd11, wasn't expecting it for another few days but got my Smile on the OPK first thing (which had gone again this morning) and very clear OV pain late last night. Isn't this a bit early though? Thought it was usually around cd14? Fortunately had DTD on Friday and again last night. Am away in lovely spa hotel in West Wales at the moment so will try and sneak a few one more in today. Anyone else joining me in the 2ww?

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 29/10/2012 07:54

I'm an idiot. I'm at MOST 6dpo- could be less. I POASd today and of course it was a BFN.
Just a waste of money.

winkle2 · 28/10/2012 22:37

Quod - we've been together 10 years so dtd hadn't been high on our agenda before TTC! TTC has been good for us as its made us make more of an effort.

Pip and bunny I wish I had started TTC after my wedding but waited 4 months as I was going on hols :(

Bunnygirlie · 28/10/2012 21:16

Indeed, life tis a funny thing :-)

OP posts:
Pipbin · 28/10/2012 21:12

I wish I'd started 5 years ago, but what can you do.

Bunnygirlie · 28/10/2012 20:52

Ah I see, I'm 33 in the new year so I know they won't do much till we've been trying a year so I may added on a few months when I spoke to her. I'll be into the surgery on jan 2nd if it doesn't happen lol.
Wish we'd started on on honeymoon sept last year, maybe we'd have been lucky by now :-s

Pipbin · 28/10/2012 20:36

I stopped the pill the day before the Royal Wedding which was the end of April 2011. Went to the doctor after 6 months as I'm over 35.
First thing that happened was blood tests for me and semen analysis for DH. I'm guessing that is where your doctor will start.

Bunnygirlie · 28/10/2012 20:25

Ah I see. How long you been trying?

My doctor wants to see me in new year if no luck so I guess they will do some tests then?!?

OP posts:
Pipbin · 28/10/2012 19:54

Clomid is like the opposite of the pill, rather than making sure you don't ovulate, it ensures you do.
I'm not too sure why I'm going to get it TBH as tests seem to indicate I ovulate. From what I understand they want to give everything a go as quick as they can incase I need IVF as I am getting on a bit.
