Here we go ladies...this really IS it for us all!

Oh, trolling uterus. Now I have EWCM and some blood.

kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 07/10/2012 13:06

This cycle is a bit different than my last 2 in that I've been cramping since 2-3 DPO (still am) and where I'd previously been drowning in creamy CM the last two cycles, I've not had much this one.

My boobs are definitely bigger and heavier, if only by a touch. But that's how it has been since pre-OV, so have to discount it as a symptom.

Thank you for your notes, they're helpful. My tummy is a bit off too, it has to be said.

Really hope this is the month...I'm sure Bri would love a 'pregnant' stick tied in our wedding ribbon as a present!

I can stay on the list sporadically! Don't want to miss any BFPs. I think my bleeding's increasing but I don't want to say I'm out until it's really convincing.

It really does help, there's lots to look forward to even if no baby. Can't wait until Christmas Markets get going.

letskiwithisthing · 07/10/2012 12:51

Morning ladies, we just arrived back from our night away for a family party, stayed over at the hotel so just caught up with you all! Think that list was such a good idea!

Nic, just checked on Ff as kept a list of how I was feeling each day in the notes section! Hope this is useful to someone!

1dpo - recorded that I had an achy stomach while lying in bed at night

2dpo - recorded cramps, funny stomach when I woke up and a huge spot on my temple - I mean much bigger than usual

3dpo - no notes

4dpo - recorded that boobs felt a bit bigger and felt like I was going to be sick all day but wasn't

5dpo - drinking in the baby shower, had weird dreams this night but put it down to the wine

6dpo - boobs seem bigger but not tender, huge spots on chin (4)

7dpo - period style cramps

8dpo - dull cramps and felt clammy/ diarrhoea in work - lovely

9dpo - recorded backache, first notice in morning when ached to bend over to put tea bag in bin! Backache all day in work! Boobs tender when I took my bra off tonight! Stomach/period rumblings, feels like I may come on tonight! White discharge today which I fist noticed yesterday! 11:15pm fizzing bubbling noises in stomach while lying in bed!

10dpo - woke up, thought I'd come on, hadn't! Backache all day, more white discharge but hardly any! Thought small bulbs on boobs looked different but put down to cold weather! Mild cramps, kept going to loo thinking I'd come on but hadn't! Felt aware of boobs today!

11dpo - no af when woke up, peed into a mug but tipped away thought I was being silly! Then felt ill in work today, heart was beating in my throat (felt like) felt clammy and mouth felt watery like i wanted to be sick but i am never sick not even with a hangover! Fuzzy head today, then had a weird stitch type feeling in evening a few times after laughing with DH, started to get hopeful so decided what the hell do a test! Was 11dpo so wouldn't have been to upset if BFN but line came up at 10:15pm ish

kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 07/10/2012 12:33

It's a really good idea. We are going to the Christmas market in Manchester this year. Combining it with seeing Elbow at the MEN. I love it there :-)

Will you two stay on the thread or disappear during your break? It could get a bit tumbleweed without you both. Assuming you won't be leaving because of a BFP. And you still may yet!

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 07/10/2012 11:55

That list is excellent tal! Got my first visit to the German market planned so I can look forward to that too. I'm having the break to not pop on my own wedding day! Think I will make my own list as well tal, seems to have worked for you.

I'm excited for Christmas now already. About 81 days to go I think!

TalTangerine · 07/10/2012 11:27

Thanks nic, it's somewhat mind over matter as I've had depression in the past, so I very consciously work at being happy. Everything does have its positive side, though. Me and DH are always saying to each other Every (Little Thing) Will be - All Right, like a kind of comfort thing.

And I do love the Christmas Market. With German sausages and beer and mulled wine and gingerbread and silly hats!

kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 07/10/2012 11:20

I'm impressed with your positivity, Tal :-)

Woody I think you can get a smiley and not ovulate because you can have more than one surge. But go for the shagging if you've got EWCM!

Dulcet it's weird isn't it? I have to have a break because I don't want to give birth at my sister's wedding and potentially miss it, I'd've been furious if she'd done it to me so hard as it is I will have to break if it doesn't. We're not out yet. I have been making a list this morning of reasons to be cheerful if it is a negative, but to be honest I'm not overly convinced by any of them because the flip side is always, but BABY!

That said, here is the gist of the list to cheer people up: Winter is a time when one wants to drink port, and eat forbidden-in-pregnancy cheeses, and potentially go on cheap sunny drink fuelled holidays in Canaries, and go for Christmas Drinks with groups of people, and drink mulled wine at Christmas Markets. And with the 2 month break, a baby would come in the autumn/winter, which would be warm and snuggly and possibly given the advantages at school, and I won't have to go out to work during the winter when the trains and buses and roads are awful. And I'll be able to take ibuprofen again. And it will be sunny at the end of maternity leave, and baby would be old enough to play out more than at the beginning. And DH is going to take the last 2 months of the leave probably, and I am part time, so we can have days out in the summer with small child. And having more time just us to do grown-up and sexy things.

kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 07/10/2012 11:05

Sorry about the bfn, Tal :-(

OP posts:
kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 07/10/2012 11:04

You can get a false surge, so you may not have OV'd when you got the smilie.

I'd say best have sex!!

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 07/10/2012 10:59

God tal, we are living the same life at the moment! Same stage, BFN and will be having a break if this one doesn't work.

woody17 · 07/10/2012 10:48

Sorry it wasn't a BFP Tal fx you get one in the next few days.

Ok I'm really confused - got my smiley on CB Ov Sticks on Monday but this morning I've had ewcm, properly stretchy and sticky, exactly like the stuff you're supposed to get when you're most fertile. But I've had no more smileys on the sticks? Any ideas? If I was ov now, it would make more sense with my usual length of cycle etc but this is a wtf cycle. Any ideas?

TalTangerine · 07/10/2012 10:28

Got another negative today, had some more spotting too and cramping. Not overly optimistic now (15 dpo) but I guess it's not over until the full-on bleeding arrives. If it hasn't worked we have to take a break from trying for two cycles, which we both feel a bit shit about :(

kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 07/10/2012 09:43

Ooh...here is a useful website: www.justmommies.com/getting-pregnant/boost-your-chances-getting-pregnant/best-time-to-get-pregnant

Now, I didn't know that fresh sperm are useless for the job! Something new every day!

OP posts:
kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 07/10/2012 09:27

No, probably not, Woody...it's really a very small window after. It's better to already have sperm waiting, in a way, then just topping these up when you get the smiley.

OP posts:
kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 07/10/2012 09:25

You have to do what we did and just shag loads! We did the 3 days prior and day after, but I knew it was imminent.

Bloody Muse gig meant none the day of, although I was offered a quickie in a bush, ha ha!

OP posts:
woody17 · 07/10/2012 09:23

So from a few days after the smiley, dtd isn't going to get you pg?

DulcetMoans · 07/10/2012 09:21

Yeah, what nic said really woody. I think generally the day before and the three days after are considered the best times so whenever you can over that time. Obviously harder to judge the day before as you don't know it's coming!

kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 07/10/2012 09:13

They say you OV 12-36 hours after the smiley and the egg lives for up to 24 hours. So that gives you 36-60 hours where you could get pregnant, or 2.5 days.

I think DTD the day of and after smiley is recommended.

I missed day of (only by a couple of minutes though as we finished just before midnight!) and did it the day after. Thought about doing the next day too, but didn't.

Not sure how many times over that period though.

OP posts:
woody17 · 07/10/2012 09:08

dulcet and tal hope you get your bfps. Dulcet the ic that I have aren't that sensitive - I normally get lines on FRER and CB digital before they show anything.

lol do you think you could have ov earlier? I got my smiley on CD10, although this is a wtf smiley.

I think I am 6/7 dpo (not 3/4-I don't seem to be able to add). Trying desperately not to ss but have been feeling nauseous almost constantly since yesterday, have lots of creamy cm, very tired and getting painful twinges in boobs and twinges in lower abdomen!

Bit of a random question but how often should you dtd over a week after the smiley?

kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 07/10/2012 08:15

Yeah, is early, Dulcet, I've been CDs 17 and 15 these last 2 cycles.

My body is always tricking me. Crap, eh? :-(

My cold is making me feel crap. Can't sleep either. Boo!

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 07/10/2012 08:05

Yeah, you still have time lol, CD13 is still early.

Just done another cheapy, looks BFN to me. I don't think this is my month. Body has done a good job to try and trick me though!

Lolcbcblemonlime · 06/10/2012 23:24

Well cd13 and no surge yet. Still early though. Had a lot of wine and port with my tea!

kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 06/10/2012 22:01

It does, doesn't it? :-/

My cold appears to be worsening...just sneezed so hard I jarred my back! Hope it goes by next Saturday. Snuffle through my vows!
