Anyone else waiting to TTC?

There was a thread here a while back but I seem to have lost it.

DH and I have decided to start trying in Jan, but I am now getting very impatient! We're going on hols in Dec to sonewhere it would be pretty hideous to be suffering with early pregnancy symptoms, so it makes perfect sense to wait, but it's driving me mad!

It's not so long ago that I was in two minds about getting started and holding on for as long as possible Hmm

Anyone in the same/similar boat?

Just explained to DH why I got so ratty at the weekend about the shift tin timetable and I think he was a bit surprised. He instantly changed the subject and wandered off into the next room. That's usually a sign that he's feeling very uncomfortable Grin

Coil is out! Now just the wait until all meds are out of system & cycle returned to normal... sigh

LadyEmmaHamilton · 18/09/2012 08:00

Emmylu I think you're right. We have talked about it end how I go, bug I think he'd be really surprised if he knew how strong the feeling is. Heck, it's surprised me! For me its not about cooing over friends babies or feeling jealous when they get pregnant like it us for some reason, its this intense need for the schedule in my head to worm out - house done, last of the exotic holidays done, get pregnant. I've always been more practical than emotional about these things, so that's just my version of broody.

I take it thus is your first as well? Exciting, but terrifying, isn't it?!

LadyEmma I think lots of men feel similar. My Dh is 'on board' with the idea of TTC but doesn't have that biological 'need' that I feel, so he doesn't have the same sense of urgency! We have started taking conception vits as that feels like the closest thing to doing something about it! Although, I do have to remind him to take his every night!!

Luisa, the hormones seem to have always been there for me!!!

LadyEmmaHamilton · 17/09/2012 08:09

Yes Emmylu it will be our first. I got really stroppy with DH yesterday because the cleaning of the spare room (will be the nursery) for replastering, decorating etc was not going fast enough. He was also been a general arse, so didn't back down, but I feel a bit silly afterwards Blush

Boymeetsworld (I remember that!) I am also wondering about that. I'd like a few months break from all the decorating etc and just to live a normal life (and DH wants to keep practising as long as possible Grin but I keep thinking what if it doesn't happen?

And Luisa is right about the hormones. Where did they come from all of a sudden?!

I want to start ASAP however DH is a bit apprehensive. He has a job interview on Mon so it depends a bit on that.

We both want children. I have an appt on 5th Nov to get my coil out however, we both agree it may be better to get Xmas over with first.

So, confused and excited. I have been taking folic acid and ca plus D3 for weeks although perhaps still room for improvement with diet and exercise. Another reason to wait!

The problem is I see babies and pregnant women everywhere. I was not a child lover. More of a cat lover. I can only assume some strange biological hormone has kicked in which has turned my world upside down!!!

cartoonface · 16/09/2012 21:29

Hey. I'm trying to wait till dec/jan so I won't be too pregnant on my wedding day in may! Does seem a long way off doesn' t it

Emmylu · 16/09/2012 20:57

Hiya! Not just you! My DH and I have decided to start trying in Dec as I'm going to Uganda in October and didn't want to have pregnancy symptoms over there! Feels like so long away ATM. Will this be your first child?

LadyEmmaHamilton · 16/09/2012 09:18
