The kids were fine with the news, Toddly boo just sort of looked at me funny then wondered off, I think he is a bit young yet and will be more interested when there is a proper wriggle bump to amaze at. Teen boo was brilliant, he looked really surprised, stared at my belly (it is quite big now) like he had never seen it before, said 'brilliant I can have a brother and a sister now' looked really crestfallen when we said 'well you could have 2 brothers too', then he had this look of 'OMG I know how you did that, sick sick parents', and went back to the tv.

No, the one on Monday was an external scan, not naive at all Boo. Bum cam is to check to prostate. Dr wonderful thinks it is fine, it's just a standard scan he likes to do. I actually think MrMaybe is pleased he is getting a full MOT.

Keep Thursdays appointment is indeed with Dr Amazing. My Gynae gave me the number for the fertility nurse to call as soon as we had a diagnosis for MrM so that we could get the ball rolling straight away without having to wait for notes to be sent back and forth.

I think hsg was the worst so far in terms of people looking at my lady bits, but expect iui will be another level. He'll get used to it, and will be great he'll know how you feel more!

Thanks Tock I think that definitely is MrMaybe's problem, the fact that it's so public. He opened up last might finally. He explained that actually having the scans was finally admitting there was something wrong. He had secretly been hoping the scans would say everything was alright. Got to love him.

Maybe - lovely to see you but sorry it's all so rotten. Poor Mr Maybe - this is hard for guys (and girls) and they can't stand it all being so public. Who can? I think the STI questions are routine... I'm just so glad that these steps are happening, however tough it is you are getting closer to getting your brooking baby.

keep sore boobs was my first proper symptom, the weekend I got my BFP, whenever i turned over in bed I'd be in actual pain!!! And yes please, I'd very much like you to be due around the same time, but then I'd like ALL Brooker to be due around the same time

maybe I think he is just feeling a little tender!! Men are useless at these sorts of things, when I went for my internal scan mrsparks treated me like china afterward because that's what he'd want!

Solars I have to say you have done remarkably well to get this far and only just have a meltdown, I think I would have completely lost it a whole lot earlier than this (also see confession below :))

Cooee everyone else, sorry been a bit absent for a few days, I had a complete and utter mentalist weekend of madness I became totally convinced that something would be wrong in the scan and that we would not get a good outcome. My lovely friend even brought some of her baby stuff (she needed them out of her house and I had already said I would have them) on Friday and I completely freaked didn't like having them in the house so did a 40 min round trip to my DBs house to hide them. I have absolutely refused to discuss baby, look at baby things or do anything that meant having to think about the baby all weekend. I do feel a bit silly now though :) Back to my brooking best. Hope you all had a good weekend.

Men can be such fragile creatures can't they, god forbid if they actually had to carry the baby, go through all prodding and poking and then give birth to it! Yes there's been many a time when I'd also like to have done the same to my DH! I'm sure he'll have been worrying over nothing x

Thankssolars I said the same to him. That's a good idea about asking at the next scan. It's on Wednesday. He is feeling vulnerable, I have been trying to be there for him. But he is now acting like a martyr cos he has had a scan. I love him very much, but sometimes I want to strangle him. Or hit around the head Beedle style

Perhaps he's also feeling a little vulnerable at the moment. Plus this whole business can really test a relationship, remember I snapped at DH this morning! Perhaps it was just a routine question the sonographer asks? Can he ask what they meant by it when he goes for his next scan, is it tmrw?

I'm so upset/mad. MrMaybe has just had his first scan. He called me from the hospital being all paranoid because the sonographer asked him if he had had any infections. So now he is panicking that he has something else wrong with him, when I told him to calm down he told me it was his problem and nothing to do with me. After everythingnwebhave bloody been through the last two years. I'm so mad.

H has never had an STImcheck, but I had one months after we started seeing each other, and it all came back fine. Now I don't know what to think. Sorry for the me me me. Brooking will resume shortly.
