Don't think I've spoken to you before Lexi, but I'm sorry for the BFN. Its really shitty especially when AF seems to have gone so astray, I'm sure our bodies like to try to trick us and play games with our minds when it matters the most. And men really really don't understand.

Pissed of at DH he came home and I was having a little cry, asks what's wrong so i explain and he says "we'll try again next month, I thought it was something serious when I saw you crying"

If I'd had my period as normal it would of been ok but it now seems such a let down. Spoke to a lovely nurse who has left message for doctor about whether I should see him in regards to lateness of period with negative result.

Impatient lexi ? You have endless patience if you ask me! I'd have ranted and raved at the receptionist probably resulting g in me getting struck off their list plus I'd have peed on a million sticks by now!

Sound nice waves lucky you, I'm still waiting for my birthday present from months ago, think DH has completely forgotten now it's so long ago. Not because he's an arse, just because we've had alot of financial commitments recently and birthday presents not really a priority.

Not really to sure of the telephone appointment, they have a message line for the doctors which is who I called on monday and they started the ball rolling on having urine sample tested in the first place, tbh I think if I try the message line they'll just give me the results direct dial number as there wouldn't be another message for the doctor except for shouting CHECK MY FLIPPIN RESULTS WILL YOU.

If I don't get a result today think I may just have to poas in the morning, I'm so bloody inpatient sometimes.

DH is now getting twitchy that AF has made no appearance (now 8 days late) and wants me to get a "proper" test as opposed to the internet cheapies that he reckons must be fake as he doesn't see how you can buy 25 for £4 when the proper ones are so much more pricey. I am horribly tempted to wait til Monday though. I would like to say to save money in case AF appears before then, but secretly it is because I want a glass of champagne up the Oxo Tower where I am being taken for lunch on Saturday. He's booked it as a birthday treat purely because of the thread about it on Mumsnet which resulted in me crying with laughter and spitting tea all over my keyboard at work.

Hi lexi, hope you get answer soon. Keeping everything crossed for you. Can you call and ask for an telephone appointment with nurse or Dr or will evil & nasty receptionst not give you one?

Doctors' receptionists can be appalling, can't they?

I'd ring up again later if I were you. Would you recognise her voice so you could hang up before talking?!

MrsBri I didn't question the original delay from yesterday afternoon to this morning as I assumed it was just a mistake. The lady this morning was nice and just asked me to call after lunch but the lady this afternoon said the results weren't in, I said that I was told that they are in but awaiting looking over from the doctor and she got rather shirty with me and said I'd just have to call back tomorrow.

The result line doesn't close till 4:30 so why there isn't still time for the doctor to get them on screen I do not know. Think I shall ignore and call back later if I dare, don't want to get the same women again especially if it's negative would rather someone with a bit of empathy.

That's really frustrating. It really annoys me when people in the same place say different things.

I can't get my results.

Why is everything so frustrating. When I spoke to nurse on monday she told me to bring in sample tuesday morning and would have results that afternoon, when I took the sample in the receptionist said to call for results wednesday morning, called this morning and told to call after lunch, just called and told to call back tomorrow. Aaaarrrrr

Actually, 4wk 2days! Wishing time away there!!

I have phoned for results, they are back but the doctor hasn't had a chance to check them yet, got to phone again after lunch.

waves Completely agree if I'm not pregnant ok but I just want to know, not long to wait now, it's like the longest poas wait ever.

Also I hired a book called the day by day pregnancy book, premature I know but it was when I was confident that I was pregnant and on the 5 weeks 1day page which is today it does say how common it is to have no signs, I'm sure your know that already but just thought I'd mention it.

Thanks for eveyone's good wishes, didn't sleep well with the cramping but it has eased off now. Spotting seems to be getting slightly heavier each day.

Congratulations to you nanny. If it's any reassurance, my 2 are just under 18 months apart. I got a double buggy but hardly used it. I got one of those buggy boards instead and that seemed to work really well.

Lexi I really hope you get some good news after 10.30. I am hating the wait myself. Kind of wish AF would just arrive so I knew I was on a new cycle and could get going again. But still, no sign of her, and no pg symptoms either.

DH is taking me to London this weekend for my birthday, so REALLY hoping that AF comes today and disappears quick, or holds off til Monday!

The wait is terrible lexi. I know I was finally relieved when AF came as I knew I was on a new cycle and another opportunity for a BFP. It's so hard being in limbo.x

Have been spotting a little again today, now having really bad cramps, much worse than I usually get before AF.
