Thank you so much jellycurls, purplegeekygirl, weechops, knickerbockerglorycherry, Shineypeacock, littlepinkfizz, violet takingthestairs, chookford, lexi, waves, autumn, little and anyone else I've missed. You're all so lovely! :)

Symptoms for me this month (because I spent ages scouring the net for them during the 2ww!) were really mild cramps a few days after ovulation, and then mild burning feelings for a couple of days after that. I thought af was on the way yesterday when I had more mild cramps (though I normally get them once af has come). I noticed last night that the cente of my nipples is much paler than the outside (of the nipple, not the areola), so either they've lightened or the ourside has got darker. I also had a slight headache yesterday (I never get headaches) and I felt really tired over the weekend (was travelling though, so thought it was linked to that).

My boobs were sore last month (for the first time ever) but af arrived early. This month, they haven't been sore at all.

My husband still can't believe it, he wants me to test again tomorrow with a different test! I'm scared!

Fingers crossed for you all and hope you're feeling better soon violetcherry.

weechops as someone else said, it isn't over till af arrives.

shiney, I tested today which is when af was due (13dpo, day 28 of cycle).

Good luck for tomorrow jellycurls and shineypeacock (and anyone I've missed).

littlehelp · 01/10/2012 15:12

Congrats On your BFP Grin

shineypeacock · 01/10/2012 15:09

thanks jelly i will wait until tomrrow, am sure it will be a BFN though! AF not due until Wednesday however so may still be early!

Arrgghh this has been a long 2 weeks!!!

TakingTheStairs · 01/10/2012 15:04

Whoops littlepinkfizz, sorry about that!

littlepinkfizz · 01/10/2012 14:30

Oh jelly you just tested too early with cheapo sticks. Be strong! X

littlepinkfizz · 01/10/2012 14:28

Oh it's not me testing, it's peacock!
I don't test until 13 October but tbh not feeling hopeful at all. Ooh hope it won't be too long til Friday for you taking. Only 4 more sleeps! Nervous for you. But nipples sound good! < titters>!

I got so excited last month when my boobs became sooo sore. This has never happened to me before except when pregnant. But no. Bloody Mother Nature taking the p. damn you mother nature. Just have a month off and give everyone on the bus a BFP this month! How great would that be?

JellyCurls · 01/10/2012 13:29

Shineypeacock wait till fmu tomorrow. Think I am due same time as you but got inpatient this morning (could hear the tests - boots own so not good at early detection, calling me from the bathroom cabinet) and got a BFN. Symptoms to spot are tiredness (but not excessive) sore boobs when running up and down stairs (could be why I am tired though) stuffy headache (posible leftover cold related), oh and a raised pulse rate from 70bpm to 88bpm resting. Next test for me will be Thursday, AF due on Wednesday if I take 14 days after ov, so going to be strong and wait till day late to test

TakingTheStairs · 01/10/2012 13:21

Ohh littlepinkfizz good luck for tomorrow

And lovely weechops, fx for you too x

I'm going test on Friday morning (if AF doesn't arrive by then) as we have guests coming for the weekend and I'd like to know just in case so I know if I can have some wine or not. If I get a BFN I'm going to try to not be too stressed as it will only have been a full 2WW the following Monday.

Last week dragged, let's hope this week isn't the same.

OP posts:
littlepinkfizz · 01/10/2012 13:13

I'd probably wait til tomorrow there's no way I could with fmu!good luck [ smile]

littlepinkfizz · 01/10/2012 13:11

weechops could still be too early.its never over til the BFP appears!

Never heard of the grapefruit either purple but when I have ms the only thing I can tolerate is grapefruit!

poco hopeful for November .Try to stay positive. At least you know what is going on now.

Any one else testing this week? I'm so excited!

shineypeacock · 01/10/2012 12:52

Just been to boots and bought a pack of FRER, (3) so when should i poas?

Dont really fancy doing it at work tbh, should I wait for FMU tomorrow or give one a go this afternoon, no sign of anything on IC's tho.

Symptoms have pretty much stopped, apart from sore boobs occasionally, well they really hurt on Saturday night and now just let me know they are there iykwim and i have a cold so the tiredness may be related to that!

poco glad all is getting back to normal, might be joining you on that November bus xx

Autumn11 · 01/10/2012 12:49

Congratulations Ella, fantastic news to start off the October BFP's! Hopefully many more to come!

chookford · 01/10/2012 12:32

Waves symptoms sound promising! fx you will have a bfp in the next week or so! new baby and new house would be brilliant!

wavesandsmiles · 01/10/2012 12:15

Congrats ella and fingers remain firmly crossed for more BFPs over the next few days. I am still off tea, and feeling sick and super tired (managed to fall asleep yesterday for 5 hours!) and trying not to symptom spot. As we are moving house, this could all be very attributable to stress, and it is only the first month of trying, so trying not to raise my hopes too much.

I have ginger nuts to share around - no time for baking, so I bought a couple of packets of biscuits.

chookford · 01/10/2012 11:44

Poco so sorry to hear that you are out for Oct but very relieved to hear that everything is ok! Hope you get your bfp next month!

pocopearl · 01/10/2012 11:39

Hi everyone, Just wanted to say thank you to everyone (& those from the sept thread) for your reassurance and everything, with my BFN & no AF issues. was at CD49/33 today (31dpo). Went to the doctors after following a couple of peoples good advice, and was sat in the waiting room and guess who turned up... none other than the infamous AF herself. Talk about timing! Spoke to the doctor and he said there was no sign that it was anything other than just AF turning up late and my possible worrying only delayed her. So I am out for Oct but very much relieved it was nothing more serious. So a huge big thank you to everyone for not letting me go mad with worry :)

FX that we have loads more BFPs this month!!!

LexiLoganberry · 01/10/2012 11:28

Congratulations Ella0 Grin hoping it's a sign of things to come for the rest of us.

chookford · 01/10/2012 11:13

oh Weechops I really hope it is just a shy bfp! I will keep everything crossed that this is the case....

weechops · 01/10/2012 10:56

I used my last frer this morning and got another bfn at 12dpo. I can feel af on the way for sure so I think I will be changing at the station and hopping on board the next bus :(

VioletCherry · 01/10/2012 10:52

through sheer impatience was going to POAS on Sun morn when I got up. Then I remembered that I had been up so many times through the night that the FMU was a non starter.
The out of the house morning routine took over today. Luckily I have found that if I can get through the first 30mins in the morning without POAS it doesn't really cross my mind until the next day.

VioletCherry · 01/10/2012 10:39

If a get a chance to POAS tomorrow morning but with the usual out the door "free-for-all" might not get a chance. So wed morning for sure if AF doesn't pay a visit.
Just thinking though with being under the weather might mean AF a little late anyway...will have to remember to curb any over excitement at her absence.

chookford · 01/10/2012 10:37

Purple I havent heard of that either, but it is very interesting!! May have a look into that!

Taking well the signs sound promising... lets be positive and think of them as bfp syptoms! and god yes would love a flapjack and a Brew thanks!

Violet sorry to hear about the flu... it sucks! hope you feel better soon and you get your bfp in the next few days that will make everything better.. coldsores and all!! Grin

TakingTheStairs · 01/10/2012 10:26

Awviolet I hope you feel better soon. Even with feeling rubbish it must be quite satisfying to get that pile of ironing sorted.
Fx for a BFP for you. When are you planning to POAS?

OP posts:
VioletCherry · 01/10/2012 10:24

Blimey! I've missed a lot of news on here over the weekend. Big Congratulations to Ella0 great news and hopefully a good sign for the month.
Haven't been on for a few of days as feeling rotten with the flu (when does it become flu and not just a cold? Smile) When my DH gets a sniffle its always seems to be flu! Also sporting a rather attractive outbreak of cold sores so have taken to hibernation until the "elephant lady" stage passses. Off work today as combined with some serious toddler teething over the weekend I'm looking and feeling a bit of a state. On the plus side during my self inficted house arrest this morning I've managed to get a massive pile of ironing finished. Hopefully back on form tomorrow.
Not holding out much hope over this months 2WW haven't POAS yet but not feeling very positive.

TakingTheStairs · 01/10/2012 10:13

Hi purple, no I hadn't heard that about grapefruits.. how interesting!

chookford, I'm quite emotional and mood swingy which could be attributed to AF of course but my nipples have gotten noticeably bigger, again could be attributed to AF so I haven't a clue what's going on. Confused

Anyone for a flapjack and a Brew?
