HA when maybe you can get litmus paper lined undies from somewhere?! :o

Wow, well congratulations to kick then - she definitely did deserve a bit of luck.

winkle I have no useful advice, but just wanted to offer some hand holding :( I can't remeber, have you had any preliminary testing done yet?

FrustratedSycamorePants · 18/09/2012 10:04

Yay!! For kick!!!!

winkle2 · 18/09/2012 10:02

That's fab news re Kick ? really pleased for her. Please pass on my congratulations.

Thanks pear for the tips, I might try that next month as hubby as 1% sperm morphology (although the docs did say that shouldn't affect conception). think about it though, this month we only DTD 3 times and that was around OV which is kinda what you're suggesting?.

I'm def trying the soy next month kitty!!!! It says it increases the chances of twins too eeeek

Also interested in ph testing if anyone has the info?.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 18/09/2012 09:51

Thanks for the update on kick swimming can't believe she is pregnant already, really pleased for her, god knows she had a rubbish time.

Hmmm ph testing? How do you do that

swimmingnotdrowning · 18/09/2012 09:27

Just wanted to say that I heard from kick by email who says....

Quick update - they did my hba1c about 3 weeks ago and it was 6.7%. They said I coudl hump! Which was great because I ovulated the next month. Took the usual array of pills, DH's pills, humped (get this) 4 times in two days - the day I OVed and the next day. So first cycle since my diabetes is under control and I fell pregnant.

Just so you know, I took 1000mg EPO up until the day I OVed, I took Zinc, Folic Acid and a Pregnacare. I also ran a bit and drank a glass of alkaline powder at night and tested my PH. I read that your PH needs to be 7.5 to conceive so did everything to get my PH to 7.5 or above. My husband took Wellman Conception and Zinc as well, and ran with me :D

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 09:22

Sorry winkle, there's nothing I can say except I know how shit it is, there's no point looking for positives as you won't be in the mood for it, I've been looking at the soy isoflavens but not sure whether to try them, I'm abit scared!!
When- glad you benefited from the bargin, I may go and try and get more lol

peardrop2 · 18/09/2012 09:22

thought it was worth a go. I hope that it helps someone on here who is about to give up! Sorry about the long post!!

peardrop2 · 18/09/2012 09:20

Hi winkle I've been sitting here contemplating whether to give you my advice or not but decided what the hell. I hope you take it as a good gesture rather then patronising!! I say that because sometimes when people get a BFP and then dish out advice it can sometimes come across a little patronising on MN but I want to help others so it's probably worth the risk! I tried EOD throughout cycle (not very successful), ED for a week leading up to OPK day, random days without knowing OPK and EOD leading upto OPK and then 2 days after OV. I went to the doctor last month and she asked me what I had been trying. She asked me if DH had any problems with sperm and I said I had suspicions but he has not been recently tested. So she said well it you're willing to give it a go a fertility clinic once told me that you should use OPKs, withhold from DtD until the day you get a smiley. The day you get a smiley DTD and keep DTD once ED for 5 days after. I only managed on the day of the smiley and 2 days after. Anyway, even though that information she gave me goes against everything I had heard an read I th

weechops · 18/09/2012 09:19

Thunder congratulations!

Winkle I'm so sorry the witch came again :(

Another good luck for this month. Kind of know how you feel as my dh will be working away at all my ov times til march!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 18/09/2012 09:15

Really sorry winkle don't know what to suggest.

kitty I think I am on 9 dpo. Don't think I am going to test early as my problem seems to be hanging on to a pregnancy not starting one. I'm not getting excited unless I get the clearest of clear BFPs. I might test on Sat but will try and hold out for Sunday.
Just popped in to Morrisons and you are right, the Clearblue opks are only £3.18 for 7 - bargain, just bought 2 packs.

FrustratedSycamorePants · 18/09/2012 09:08

Saliva ferning winkle?

winkle2 · 18/09/2012 08:46

Cd1 again :(

Seriously don't know what's left to try. I've tried not trying, trying, SMEP, opks, eod, CBFM, epo, grapefruit juice, I've added fertility friendly foods to my diet, I've tried folic acid, santagen mum to be, I'm on pregnacare, hubbys on the wellman conception and takes vit c and zinc... I've even tried relaxing and going on holiday... NOTHING IS WORKING :(

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 08:09

Thanks guys, I know it's early but I'm pretty sure it's not my month, I was anyway and that just confirmed it, I'm just getting sick of it but worried negativity will make it worse Sad
In a depressed mood anyway as we may not be a me to go on holl now and it's what was keeping me going
When I think I'm the same as you this cycle, will you test?

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 18/09/2012 08:00

kitty I forgot you are only about 10 dpo. It is still v possible you could still get some good news. Fx

Kittenkatzen · 18/09/2012 07:19

Ah that sucks kitty Sad but like nic says its not over till the red witch appears.

winkle I am kidding myself that I'm eating healthily for TTC but in reality I don't actually think much has changed! Pass the maltesers Grin

kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 18/09/2012 07:04

Still early, kitty...don't give up yet.

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 06:52

Best of luck another

winkle2 · 17/09/2012 22:52

AnotherCerealNameChanger · 17/09/2012 22:49

Well DH was rather ahem insistent so CD12 has also been ticked

Haven't had so much fun in years! Helped by DD having a run of good nights

winkle2 · 17/09/2012 22:42

Reading back of you've dtd cd9 and 11 thats fine. Dtd next on cd13.

winkle2 · 17/09/2012 22:41

Cereal - that sounds about right. Be prepared to be knackered!

Anyone eating healthily or dieting whilst TTC? I just ate loads of maltesers oops

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 17/09/2012 22:26

Best of luck another. Would completely agree with the advice on eod instead of ed. Dh and I are lazy and only do every 3 days.

Best of luck testing tomorrow kitty your moustache comment made me lol.

AnotherCerealNameChanger · 17/09/2012 22:03

ok, so going on my last cycle I +OPK on CD15

this cycle we should DTD on CD8, CD10, CD12, CD14, CD15, CD16, CD17 asnd CD19?

Thanks you muchly Wine

winkle2 · 17/09/2012 21:54

Exactly what kitty said.

If you can manage every day then go for it! Although it gets tiring!

Have you thought of doing SMEP plan? Dtd every other day from cd8 and when you get a positive opk dtd that night, the next and the day after, miss a day then do one more try.

kittykatskumkwat · 17/09/2012 21:08

I've heard it give dh sperm chance to build up in good quality although there is nothing wrong with ed either it's just preference alot of people do eod up to ov then a few days in a row aswell, don't know if anyone else knows more/ thinks differently, as sperm is surposed to survive up to 5-7 days but atleast 3 if you dtd eod there should always be sperm waiting Smile
