Greetings sisters [puts flowers in hair]

Bring your very best woo & let's see if we can magick up a few baybees (insta-differs not allowed).

New recruits are required to locate the BESH spell aka the BESHtionnaire and submit for further scrutiny.

I agree with kat.. Everything is set up to mess with your head when TTC! I used to get tonnes of ewcm when I was younger and had no idea what it was! but when TTC to find it I had to go searching for it.

Thanks for asking jeffers! Pukkng continues sporadically but most says this week it's been quite bad. Had to puke into sink when having a bath last night Confused Trying to get on top of constipation which clearly doesn't help matters!

KatAndKit · 14/09/2012 07:01

I forgot to add lemony that the foo-foo drucks do not come with a sechs ban - we got straight back to ttc once it was all done with. They always tell you to wait for your droid to come back but you can safely ignore that.

EWCM is something that goes mysteriously away when you start ttc. I remember the stuff from when I was younger and avoiding pregnancy like the plague. Once I started looking for it, it seemed to be mostly absent. Last month, when I did not want it, back it came and then back my pigging droid came too. So although LH and estrogen might have a lot to do with it, I am convinced that ttc makes it go away in order to fuck with your head

JethroTull · 14/09/2012 06:58

Oooh morning Faith how's your puking?

JethroTull · 14/09/2012 06:57

People have actually put pictures of their own EWCM on the Internet? Jeez.

Rie I know we've talked about this before but it's my worst nightmare that my sister announces her diffment. I can utterly empathise with you.

Blood tests for infections at the FC this morning. As long as I don't have HIV or Hepatitus then I'll be ready to start snorting drugs next month....

HaveALittleFaith · 14/09/2012 06:54

I understood it creates a friendly environment for swimmers, almost like a ladder they can climb up when the time is right. Triggered by hormones, yes.

It is so grey and mizz. I want to stay in bed!

Northey · 14/09/2012 06:52

When did you last POAS, sink? Come here and present your kidneys for a punching, dearie.

sinkyroselee · 13/09/2012 22:50

Oh god. Googling it finds me some random forum bints discussing ewcm as a sign of early pregnancy.

sinkyroselee · 13/09/2012 22:46

Thanks for the warning fsr..

sinkyroselee · 13/09/2012 22:45

Hmmm. My LH is always massively high (think of a normal level, times by 5, add a bit, and you're getting there...), so not sure it's that in this case!

The shagging commenced 3 nights ago at onset of pant activity.

It's very disconcerting all this hormone stuff

FrankelSaysRelax · 13/09/2012 22:42

A quick google says me and euro are both right on the hormone front. It is the combination of the two hormones surging that start the body creating the EWCM.

Quick tip - if you google EWCM you will get pictures of other womenz mucus c/o Google Images [ick]

sinky from my understanding the increase in EWCM is triggered by a rise in Lutenising Hormone - the same hormone that triggers ovulation. The EWCM is to provide a sperm friendly environment: it is thin and therefore easy to swim through and also contains proteins to help nourish the spermz on their journey.

eurochick · 13/09/2012 22:35

I think it has something to do with oestrogen, sinky.

I know it mimics semen and spermies like swimming in it.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 13/09/2012 22:33

Shag, Sinky, SHAG! It's hormonal innit? It helps the spermz swim north.

I may have "hostile mucus". The humourless consultant told me so.

sinkyroselee · 13/09/2012 22:27

He he. X post. I can read these fertile folk like a book.

sinkyroselee · 13/09/2012 22:26

Damn. Would have bagsy-ed instadiff. I'll go for 4 months. Long enough for her to confide in you how worried she is it's "taking so long"

Sorry for everyones woes. Have nothing to add to anyone as never had to go through an ectopic/miscarriage. I've brought a bag of langoustine heads to throw at you all though.

Can I ask for a bit of BESH wisdom? What is ewcm? I mean, I know what it is, but why do we make it when we do? Is it hormone shifts? I only ask as I appear to be getting it again. On approx cd 80ish (maybe. Maybe more). Obviously the sechs is happening, but why do we make it when we do? It might be comforting to thing my hormones are doing something, even if it is topsy turvy.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 13/09/2012 22:18

Should add that it's been three months since she started. In all fairness etc.

She said it was taking longer than last time. I was all sympathy, obviously :)

alwyn · 13/09/2012 22:16

I call instadiff.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 13/09/2012 20:41

Very sorry lemony :(

Why is this all so hard? Am wallowing a bit for les BESH tonight.

My sis has started TTC again. Anyone want to run a sweepstake with me?

Northey · 13/09/2012 20:17

Aw lemonyone, I'm so so sorry it wasn't a miracle outcome, even though the possibility of it was always slim.

I've never had a miscarriage so have nothing to contribute on the advice front, except my driving thing has always been how soon can I ttc again, so if the foofoo drugs come with some sort of six month toxic sechsban I might be more inclined to let it happen naturally.

KatAndKit · 13/09/2012 16:45

So sorry lemony even though you knew it was likely, the confirmation of bad news is always awful to bear. Both times I went for intervention - I couldn't bear the uncertainty of waiting. First time D&C (was a bit further along) and second time medical management. It was far from pleasant but at least I knew I was going into hospital on a specific day and at the end of that day the worst of it would be over. Also you get better pain relief in hospital if you make a point of asking for it - I had gas and air when the main bit was happening and if you go natural at home you may end up with nowt better than cocodamol.

However if you are already bleeding then it may not be too long and you may think that the wait is more bearable. I had nothing more than spotting and I could have been waiting for weeks. It's down to personal choice at the end of the day and what feels right for you. I personally needed it over with as soon as possible.

FrankelSaysRelax · 13/09/2012 16:14

Sorry again lemon, words really do feel inadequate Sad

So, as I predicted some time ago, the girl in my office (different company but we share a building) has just announced she is 13 weeks along with her second. She announced her first pregnancy just as HWHNN and I were starting to try, so it feels like a bit of a kick in the stomach from the universe.

I'm torn about telling her my situation. I don't want everyone knowing my business, but at the same time I don't want her thinking I'm angry/upset with her on those days when I can't bear to see a bump.

Just trying to hold it together long enough so that I can go home for a good cry Sad

I'm so sorry to hear that drizz Sad Please look after yourself at this time.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 13/09/2012 12:59

Happy anniversary FSR and belated happy birthday bugsie!

And Grin at the lady's preference for purple diffed vaginas...

Hmm banana cake, can you send some over here, norf?

The bean is definitely dead, but the MC has not started properly yet (you could have fooled me, I've been bleeding for days). So I get to choose the evil foo-pills or waiting. The yolk sac had schrunk from 8mm to 5mm, so apparently too small for D&G. So we went out for big fat burger lunch and will be drinking lots of wine tonight.

Can I ask those having gone through MC before what they would do? Intervention or waiting?

Northey · 13/09/2012 12:38

It's all gone now, havealittlecake. Quite embarrassing, considering AMNH has been at work all day and it was untouched this morning.

HaveALittleFaith · 13/09/2012 11:20

Happy anniversary frankus, enjoy the dinner tomorrow.

Thinking of drizz.

norf, I'm a bit Envy of banana cake for breakfast!
