kittykatsforever · 23/08/2012 14:50

Fatas I was definatly going to use you and the train story lol Wink
Kitten that last bit did make me laugh but at the same time if you asked him now if it was for the best now he could look back on it his answer might surprise you?!?
I know of others who even though they were the cheeted on party are way happier now, one was ditched the wk before their wedding!!!

Kittenkatzen · 23/08/2012 14:39

kitty you've clearly missed a calling in life and should immediately ditch your job and move to Hollywood! Although, I can't read the word "montage" without thinking of Team America ("even Rocky had a montage....") :o

winkle that story is unbelievable, that poor woman must be reeling in shock! Very efficient though - 3 for the price of 1.....!

res ouch! There must be better ways to take your mind of things! Wink

chimp thank you for the kind words. His parting shot was that karma would get me, so I have been carrying it round like a bit of curse :( I know you're all right, I do need to let it go as it's in the past now, and as you say 5 years of guilt and remorse is punishment enough. I will work on it I promise!

((Not to make light of your very good (and appreciated) advice, but I did have to smile a teeny bit to myself at the thought of explaining the cognitive psychology viewpoint to xDH....."no, no, what I did to you wasn't actually bad - you just thought it was bad" :)Wink))

fatasbutter · 23/08/2012 14:34

My first pregnancy was unexpected (and have DS who is 2 now) and I was arguing with my friend that since she moved into my house her hormones had OBVIOUSLY thrown my cycle out and it was clearly her fault I was so late etc then decided to do a test so I could tell my stupid body to stop playing tricks - and it was a BFP! I have never been so shocked in my life. DH was sitting in a room full of colleagues when I phoned to tell him and there was a lull in the conversation, so he didn't really say much and I started telling him off later for being such a bloke etc until he said crossly that I really should check who is in the room before dropping these bombshells!! Grin

Dunno if that's worthy of a part in the movie??

fatasbutter · 23/08/2012 14:30

Ha ha! An loving Tiggy Dick GrinGrinGrin

Must confess I read it as Tuggy Dick tho Blush !!

And resipsa I laughed at your head bang story too!! That's so me!! On another Fred I confessed to forgetting to lock the door on a virgin train and some girls opened the door whilst my troos were around my ankles and I was mid-pee BlushBlushBlush - horrific!!

kittykatsforever · 23/08/2012 14:11

Winkle yours will be a very funny part then, with sticks falling into toilets, weeing on hands, and lots of winkling obviously!!!
Is the public ready for tinkeling though?!?
Running out of parts lol but I think it would be good that while people are in the cod they write msg's like we do and it shows that person sitting writing, some pretending to work in the office sinareo like resipsa in cubicles looking over shoulders, in the middle of the night upset etc etc
At the end maybe there can be a montage of all of you like a quick second shot of everyone involved late with bumps, + tests and baby's like x years later?
Do you all love how seriously I'm taking my new "film writing" career!?!? Grin

winkle2 · 23/08/2012 13:44

I dont want a melancholy part, I want a happy, funny part :)

Yes that's a true story! She's 9 weeks pregnant I think.

Lolcbcb · 23/08/2012 13:38

Yeah swim! And me too!
Now not due till 22sep but knowing me I will be too scared to poas until about the 25th. So we could come in late on the finale!
You have all cheered me up with this chat Grin

swimmingnotdrowning · 23/08/2012 12:28

I want in the film too! I am the one with the pathological fear of the hurt of a bfn iron resolve not to poas until af is actually late.

kittykatsforever · 23/08/2012 12:13

No I totally agree chimp, it's like you said something is only good or bad dependant on the tag we give it, a pregnancy for some is a nightmare, for us a the best thing in the world!
Winkle is that a real story!! Wow
Although that said I'm not sure I could cope with triplets Shock
What part would you like in the film? A more comedy part or meloncoly? ( can't spell that) we do need a poas er I think as that's a big part and you have the monitor, definatly think this is a comedy role though Smile

swimmingnotdrowning · 23/08/2012 12:07

Oh, res, your last two posts made me feel very sad for you and then actually laugh out loud at your expense! I hope that the clumsiness has broken the sad news. Thanks

And chimp is indeed on the top of the podium.

Chimpette · 23/08/2012 11:55

Yay, I get gold! Grin

I've been chewing over the Karma thing; to my mind it's not so much a Universal Law which states that if you do bad things then bad things will happen to you. I think of it more like states of mind rather than events. If I do something bad my conscience will let me know and I'll feel guilt and remorse. It doesn't necessarily mean that I should expect bad events to happen sometime in the future. Besides, events are only good or bad according to the meaning we give to them (according to cognitive psychology anyway).

Kitten - 5 years of feeling bad about events in the past is one heck of a punishment! If it helps, perhaps you could view that as the 'bad Karma' catching up with you? It's like carrying around a really heavy and awkward parcel for all that time, and it's made you tired and given you lots of aches. If you can put it down, you'll feel better and you won't have to dread the future discomfort.

This is of course only my view of Karma; please do tell me to piss off if it's not welcome! It just makes me sad to think of people punishing themselves.

winkle2 · 23/08/2012 11:49

me me me! can I be in the film!?

Talking of film-like lives, how is this for one? I used to go on Babycentre (before I discovered here :)) and one lady was proper neurotic about TTC ?not like us at all?. She used to tell us the proper trials and tribulations of her life, she'd had three miscarriages and how her boyf would want a baby one day and the next day he wouldn't. Anyway after a few months she got pregnant and one the day she got preg, her boyf told he'd been cheating on her so they split up!

She then had bleeding and thought she was losing her much-wanted baby. Docs booked her in for an early scan and it showed TWO sacs! She was having twins!

I think she had more bleeding so she back to the hospital for her for another scan? Nurse turns to her and said she had bleeding around the sacs but all ok :) Now for the shocking news ? one sac had 2 babies in it (so twins) and the other sac had a heartbeat too! It's TRIPLETS!!!!!!!

Can you believe it?!

resipsa · 23/08/2012 11:45

Mind now totally wiped of all sad thoughts and replaced with BlushBlushBlush. This will totally out me if you work in my office. Was chatting to someone who made me laugh and my habit is to put my head down when laughing. Sadly, I failed to see the metal partition as I bent down and proceeded to whack my face on it! Everyone heard it. Lots of standing uo and staring all around. Mortified, not least by the bleeding gums.
I need today to end soon!

resipsa · 23/08/2012 11:10

Thanks everyone - LOVE this thread for these very moments.

And chimp wins the gold medal. A RL LOL moment here. Your poor bloody mother!

kittykatsforever · 23/08/2012 11:05

Chimp Grin well worth de lurking for!

redstrawberry · 23/08/2012 11:03

Thanks swimming I will bear that in mind. Lol no one boob in each hand is def a very silly look. DH says hes never seen them so big :) I am trying to keep thinking that I might get a BFP but a little annoyingly sensible voice in my head keeps saying its not going to happen this month. I have no other symptoms. No twinges.

But at the same time I don't feel very-PMS. Normally I am angry, irritated, grumpy before AF is due. But this time nothing. I will have to wait and see....yes the seconds are crawling so slowly.

res big hug - sorry mate :(

kittykatsforever · 23/08/2012 11:02

Oh resipsa, dont torture yourself, I know how horrible it is but it's her journey and the only way I can think about us is that they will have their own dramas at different points in their lives we cannot know what's around the corner, when I was TTC first time it was when lily Allen, Kelly brook and Amanda Holden were all pg before me but then each one of them lost their babies really late and I actually ended with my baby first, turn it back and Lilly is now pg with her second before I am again! I guess what I'm trying to say is these things do happen for reasons we don't know but at the same time they turn just as easily, when you are pg there will be a time when someone wants to cry because they see your bump or here your due date and we come full circle! Your bubs will come and be all the more special and you will look back and for some reason apreciate they came when they did

Kittenkatzen · 23/08/2012 10:59

chimpette you win the gold star for most porn star like porn star name! :o

Kittenkatzen · 23/08/2012 10:58

Oh res it's shit isn't it. I'm :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( for you. Here, have some Thanks too, they won't help but at you'll know someone's thinking of how you're feeling.

I stumbled across this thread whilst browsing yesterday. I don't know if it might be helpful (or not) to you ladies who have suffered mc/cp, but there are some lovely lovely stories on there, and some quite interesting thoughts on souls, and children being "meant" for us at particular times. If you're feeling delicate maybe leave it till later to have a read.

swimming thank you :)

Chimpette · 23/08/2012 10:57

Sorry resipsa, that's really crap.

I am loving the film ideas!

I don't generally have much to say on here so just tend to lurk, but I have an awesome porn name... ...

Tiggy Dick!
Yes, my mother's maiden name really is Dick Hmm

resipsa · 23/08/2012 10:40

And BANG!, just like that, my good mood disappears. Just overheard one colleague on the phone to another (who used to sit next to me before I had DD but moved to another city) who I knew was preg but no other details. Turns out she's due in 8 weeks, the week I would have been having DC2 but for m/c.
Gawd, will this ever go? Sad
Sorry to bring down happy thread but if I don't share, I might cry at work and that's a no-no!

swimmingnotdrowning · 23/08/2012 10:22

My catch up time too....

red I get boobs like that pre-AF and I try to take it as a good sign that my body wouldn't show such obvious symptoms unless all my hormones were working (easier said than done). I think stairs should be banned - one boob in each hand is not a good look....

kitten this is for you

fatas likewise sorry AF showed up

Minutes are crawling.....

kittykatsforever · 23/08/2012 10:22

I know!!
There is the film what to expect but that's about different people who are allready pregnant, I'm not sure there's one illustrating the TTC madness!

resipsa · 23/08/2012 10:17

We are all wasted in our current jobs! In all seriousness, I would pay to see this film (esp the bits with DH's foot in the toilet and with when/DH and the twins on scan when going thru tests or at the end).

kittykatsforever · 23/08/2012 09:58

Oww yes definatly so like the cod is mn where we meet to discuss online and anonomusly are stories!!
The film could be called mums net Grin
