We filled the last one so I thought I would start no 2.

A friend of mine told me a funny story about a couple who thought they were infertile.

Friend is a GP. The couple were a vicar and his wife both very naive. They came in to see him because they were having trouble getting pregnant. While charting to them my friend thought this sounds a bit odd and quizzed them more than normal.

It turned out the bloke was ejaculating into her belly button the whole time they were married. That's what they thought sex was.

Oh and there was another couple who were trying for over a year. When this GP asked if the man had had any injury or operation on his testes the man said "no, oh well apart from a vasectomy I had a few years ago." (the vasectomy was with an old partner).

Sorry - that's why I said mine was my personal experience.

Not knocking or saying anything else but I know that I personally read online about implantation and ovulation and things I had never, ever felt before suddenly became incredibly apparent.

No knocking you, Nicola :)

No AF signs. Mental boobs agogo still!

And there is no way my OV pain was in my head, or in any way not real. 48 hours of pain was very obviously happening! Whether I then successfully OV'd is a different argument.

KickTheGuru · 13/08/2012 23:11

I tried to listen to my body (and normally, I have done)

But I've "felt" ovulation pain and "implantation" pain and "seen" the spotting and definitely seen EWCM etc etc etc

Only, there is no way that I felt any of that since I likely wasn't ovulating and I definitely wasn't implanting. But month on month, I've had the pains and the twinges and the tweaks.

Personally, I don't trust my mind enough to distinguish between something I desperately want to see and something my mind can make me believe after a swim or a 4 hour cycle.

My twinges this weekend were probably literally just the swimming we have done...

That's my own personal experience though.

That sounds like you are pretty sure when you oved. Never had ov pain myself, I imagine it is annoying most of the time but useful when ttc.

Any sign af is on her way or are the boobs still going mental?

To be honest, we hump like bunnies still. I love our sex life and mostly, DTD EOD is only limited by how late we go to bed. So DTD EOD is largely something that we can do - and I realise that not every one can do that (through time or work issues).

I am so relieved that my hba1c levels are normal. I feel like the past year has just been a joke - they've all pretty much said that the diabetes is why I probably didn't fall pregnant so for health reasons, I have wasted a year.

It's a shitty place to look back on. It's like...trying to have a baby and realising a year later that you forgot to take the condoms off. Hmm

I prefer the relaxed approach too, When! H2B won't react well AT ALL to pressure. In fact, I reckon I'd get less / no sex that way!

NicolaHazel · 13/08/2012 23:06

To answer kick's question from the last thread, I didn't use OPKs this cycle.

I had pain for 48 hours mid cycle, which I think was OV pain though. So I have vague dates based on that and previous cycle length.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 13/08/2012 23:04

What I wanted to say was. Bloody hell kick you sound like a woman on a mission.

I am not trying that route myself. Did the eod, dh not allowed a hot bath and no booze for months and months. It didn't work. For us taking a more relaxed approach seemed to work.
