We filled the last one so I thought I would start no 2.

Ooh well done kick

KickTheGuru · 14/08/2012 17:11

I start on Monday and yes, it's the long commute

But it's a big brand (you will ALL know it - more than likely use it too) and the actual job is a nice step up in my career

And it's a 10 month contract. So I have a bit of breathing. Grin

And I rung to cancel another interview and was told that they really want to see me and can move really quickly and can better everything I've already been offered so it's not worth it to cancel the interview just yet Grin

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 14/08/2012 17:04

Woo hoo kick. That's great news when do you start?

winkle2 · 14/08/2012 16:55

Congrats kick!

I need to ring up next week for the results. Fingers crossed hey!!

Kittenkatzen · 14/08/2012 16:55

congrats kick!!!! :o

redstrawberry · 14/08/2012 16:36

Yes all it takes is one sperm to meet one egg! And a couple of tokens is good enough :)

Congrats Kick Grin I hope you did a celebratory dance.

RIBS · 14/08/2012 16:32

Congrats kick. Did you go for the commute in the end? When do you start?

Red I think its more a month out than relaxed for us. We're exhausted, more mentally than physically with it all. We had a token couple of attemps. But you never know, sometimes this is what works.

RIBS · 14/08/2012 16:25

BTW when loved the TTC stories, especially the vicar one!

KickTheGuru · 14/08/2012 16:25

I GOT A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (happy dance)

redstrawberry · 14/08/2012 16:22

RIBS we decided to go for the relaxed approach and couldn't do EOD so just did the day before the +ve OPK and the day after. We did EOD and every day around OV last month and it was so tiring.

I guess I have resigned myself to the fact that it will happen one day. Also not going to test till I am a week late at least. I can't go through another faint positive - rather not know.

Changing a few things about 2ww too - trying to sleep early so my body is well rested and de-stressed. Watching funny - happy TV and nothing stressful. Letting issues at work go (stressful work this de-stressing is!) and taking deep breaths when people at work get annoying.

Newbie2 · 14/08/2012 16:15

winkle thanks for sharing that as I've got my blood test on Friday and I was wondering how long it would take to get the results back. Will you ring up for your results?

RIBS · 14/08/2012 16:12

Wow! That thread filled quickly, looks like this one will do the same. In all honestly I think even if I do (EVER) get a BFP I might stay here. I quite like it. Unless you all bugger off and levae me on me tod! Grin

Glad you've had the tests winkle and your positive about it. I think it gives you a little control in this whole TTC business. Cos lets face it its beyond control. What are they doing, phoning you with the results or have you booked in for another appointment next week?

nicola Hope you find out one way or the other asap. Its the not knowing that really does your head in.

With this months relaxed cycle I think AF due after the weekend, maybe monday or tuesday. We've been going at it eod and every day over ovulation for months and its got us nowhere. We still DTD the day before the very dark ov stick and then 2 days later. I think thats about all we've done all month. I dont feel hopeful. I normally mark the +opk days so I know where I am but I couldnt be arsed, so Im more confused than normal.

I was cold last night, have to be awkward but sweating like a pig this morning! Gross!!

redstrawberry · 14/08/2012 16:10

That must have been a very freakish dream to have that effect or it could have been progesterone increasing in your body - which makes it hot :)

KickTheGuru · 14/08/2012 16:03

It's strange because my DH woke me but I also vaguely remember almost fitting. I knew it had nothing to do with the diabetes because it got better when I woke up.

Very weird that the heat does that. I'm from a fairly hottish country originally so it's strange that I get that reaction to a spot of a hot day now?

redstrawberry · 14/08/2012 16:01

Are you late woody? or expecting AF? or else could be implantation bleed. Brown blood is old blood - but period starts off brown. :(

I am actually jealous of those tests winkle I kind of wish I have mine done. Just out of curiosity and maybe reassurance that all is well in my biology.

woody17 · 14/08/2012 15:44

winkle glad you got the tests done

I was really hot last night. I really swell up in the heat - can feel it in my clothes and rings.

Well, I've had some brown discharge today - only when I wipe and not enough to go in my knickers. No idea what this is - maybe start of af?

KickTheGuru · 14/08/2012 15:29

Ah I like those tests. I have sheets of tests every time I head to the hospital. They are also testing my thyroid just in case...

winkle2 · 14/08/2012 15:25

I'm confused cause I'm on two threads - this one and the aug one!

Had my blood tests taken - they test for 12 different things! they check liver, thyroid, if I'm ovulating etc. get the results in 5-7 days. Looking forward to the results.

Kittenkatzen · 14/08/2012 13:21

Positive Mental Attitude :o

Well done on the docs appt Nicola - fx you're not still in limbo by that point though!

redstrawberry · 14/08/2012 13:16

Progesterone makes you hot and sweaty too. But to be honest its been a very muggy night - and still warm around ours.

What is PMA kitten?

Newbie2 · 14/08/2012 13:09

Nicola when you said you went to see Storm I thought you had been to some funky cool gig! Just watching weather...hillarious :)

NicolaHazel · 14/08/2012 12:29

Yeah, definitely hormonal for some reason or other.

I have a doctor's appointment booked for 15th September, so at least if I'm still being weird then I can start to get answers.

KickTheGuru · 14/08/2012 11:54

I would say it's the heat simply because of waking up and being drenched.

My boobs are VERY sore though so it may be an increase in progesterone - more than normal.

I think the big thing is that if we are having any weird kinds of symptoms or longer or shorter than normal cycles, that the progesterone and the hormones may be playing silly buggers.

NicolaHazel · 14/08/2012 11:51

Well, I'm weird, so that answers that!!

We had a MASSIVE storm last night. Monsoon rain, thunder and lightning. We went to the coast road to watch it. Was awesome!

Kittenkatzen · 14/08/2012 11:37

Good luck with the tests winkle, and how lovely to have someone in rl to chat to!

Glad you're feeling better red - hang on to that excitement....PMA is the way forward I think!

It was very hot and humid round my way last night, so maybe it's the weather causing the sudden rash of fat finger-itis on the thread? Or maybe you're just all a bit wierd.....:o
