We filled the last one so I thought I would start no 2.

Okay, Ive got a really stoopid basic question. How long is the average "fertile" period, eg how many days either side of +OPK guesstimated O day?
Aka how long to take the egg to pop?

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 15:55

last one

And they sent 2 free tickets with my contract...

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 15:53

And 28 days holiday

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 15:52

And and yes, I get free tickets for me and 2 mates forever to attend the cinema whenever I want with my nooooo job.

I have just received the contract.

I want to cancel everything else. I am HAPPY with this offer

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 15:49

Ouch on the twins.

Why don't you tell the truth though? I've stopped the uncomfortable questions by answering that we ARE trying, but thank you very much some of us take longer than others.

I have also told people to stop asking and when it happens, I will tell them.

Kittenkatzen · 15/08/2012 15:36

Ohhhh all the "so when are you guys gonna have kids" questions are really ramping up now we've been married a while. It really does my head in - one friend in particular seems to ask me every couple of weeks, usually whilst pointing out that I'm getting on a bit in ttc terms. Oh yeah and last week, on finding out how long I'd been on the pill, my brother piped up with the incredibly helpful "14 years?? you ain't ever getting pregnant....!". Thanks bro. Angry

A work colleague has just announced she's pregnant with twins. So that is two ladies in my immediate office area, both pregnant with twins EnvyEnvyEnvy

I agree that we should ALL get our BFPs this month - let's kill this thread with one chop! Nicola - you're up first! :o

NicolaHazel · 15/08/2012 15:36

Both, Newbie.

Nipples feel like jogger's nipples.

Hurts to touch the sides.

And the sides ache too.

The whole lot was buzzing / tingling too, since Sat. Different, but just as bad, now.

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 15:32

That's my theory though. Suddenly you notice every single twinge more in the 2ww because you LOOK for it.

Not helpful in the least but it's the only reason to explain why all of a sudden I notice things that I've never noticed before.

Newbie2 · 15/08/2012 15:29

Nicola does it hurt to touch or is the fire feeling coming from within if that makes any sense? Can't believe I'm asking you to explain your fire feelings in your chest lol

NicolaHazel · 15/08/2012 15:26

This morning. Two types.

At least I have the conception indicator ones on the way to me now.

Newbie2 · 15/08/2012 15:26

I asked my doctor why am I experiencing so many twinges if nothing is going on and she said that we become so in tune wih our bodies when TTC that we notice everything. That's not very helpful is it :-/

This week is going incredibly slowly. I think the muggy weather is making us all very restless!

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 15:16

When last did you do a test, Nicola???

NicolaHazel · 15/08/2012 15:15

Can I just say that my nipples are ON FIRE!!

At least I've stopped feeling sick / dizzy for now though.

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 14:56

I think it would be awesome if we all get BFP's this month!!!

I felt more twinges too Blush

redstrawberry · 15/08/2012 14:50

I think I snap at people telling me "to get a move on" or give me advice on OV sticks.

I think we all feel like that today - earlier when I went for a walk for lunch I just wanted to scream that I want to be a mum - why is it so fucking hard??!

Sorry about the early BFN kick - wait till Sat. Although I am thinking of getting some very very cheap pregnancy tests for the next week of the 2ww. I can't bear to not find out. I am already getting so many twinges this month - its worse than last month. How am I supposed to ignore all of it?

Hope those sore boobs are a good sign kick!

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 14:09

winkle

Fancy testing on the same day? Based on last month plus the average day I may have ovulated, I should have AF any day from Saturday.

To be honest, I snap when people try telling me about TTC. I do tell them thanks for the pointer but I know that already and then I change the subject.

My boobs feel the same, if it's any consolation. They are sore and tender and swollen everywhere and if I raise my arms over my head, they feel like the muscles have been pulled. The sides and around - everywhere is VERY tender to the touch. I've not been this sore before :(

Fucking progesterone making me all excited now :(

winkle2 · 15/08/2012 14:01

I'd love to be a SAHM! I hate my job. I'm currently job hunting. if it clashes with me becoming pregnant ? oh well! Can't put my life on hold anymore.

I've still got sore boobs, like a muscle ache but the last exercise I did was last Weds? hmmm?

Woman at work just asked me when I'm having kids. I had to say what will be will be, just letting nature take its course, blah blah blah but inside I'm screaming for a baby! She started telling me about using OV sticks etc. I just smiled and nodded in the right places! what am I supposed to say?!

Seeing as I got a peak on the monitor on CD13 I should prob take a test this weekend. I have a hen weekend this weekend so I should take it before I leave really!

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 14:00

I peed onna stick VERY early and not surprisingly, BFN.

I know, I know, I know. I don't have any symptoms or anything but I am just interested to see now.

And since the last year has been a complete and utter waste of fucking time, I just want it to happen now! Does it mean that I am going to be like...set back. they just scratch the last year because I wouldn't have fallen pregnant anyway.

I could cry about that.

Kittenkatzen · 15/08/2012 13:57

Also very EnvyEnvy of your Oz trip woody

Well I'm going to break the mould and say that I am most definitely not a control freak! It's my job to be organised on behalf of someone else, so when I'm not at work I like to be laid back and lazy :o

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 13:31

wee I think most people are jealous of it. It's not many couples that could afford to be full time SAHM's so I think an element of envy creeps in.

I've made it clear that I understand if we can't afford it, but I would really like to make a plan and be a SAHM mum. My mum did it, my DH's mum did it and we all turned out fairly okayish! :)

KickTheGuru · 15/08/2012 13:10

I think we're very lucky to be trying so early on in the marriage. We still hump lots Grin

I loved Australia and loved NZ even more!! Grin

redstrawberry · 15/08/2012 12:54

I miss dtd just for us and for passion rather than ttc. Ah! I am so EnvyEnvyEnvy of your trip to Australia! I have always wanted to book a trip down there.

weechops · 15/08/2012 12:51

Girls you've given my confidence a much needed boost. I always feel like I somehow have to justify myself being a sahm.

Originally it was because my dh started to work away from home and we had no affordable childcare options. Then a year down the line I realised I was loving being at home with dd, stopped resenting that I couldn't work, accepted my new life and here we are 4 years and a ds later still loving it!

I am also a bit of a control freak. I need to be organised and have a plan or I feel lost. DH says he only needs to use 50% of his brain when he's back from offshore as I have him so well scheduled :)

woody17 · 15/08/2012 12:34

I am a complete control freak too - it really stresses me out when I don't have control over things, especially when I feel I am being judged on things that are outside of my control.

Glad you've got a busy weekend red - I do think that it helps the time go by quicker. We are off to Australia next week for three weeks - I can't wait and think it'll take my mind of ttc brilliantly! Also will be perfect time to dtd lots but for enjoyment rather than just ttc.

Glad you are feeling a bit better nicola

I haven't been able to eat anything. Was making tuna nicoise salad for lunch and I just couldn't stand the smells. I had to leave the kitchen.

We've got some ginger and lemon herbal teas so I might try one of those later.

redstrawberry · 15/08/2012 12:33

I have just got soaked trying to get lunch. Got a cuppa soup and some bread. I am going to spend my lunch hour obsessing about baby stuff.

I read a website about how to cope in the 2ww and it said you can allow yourself 15mins every day to think about POAS and baby stuff and get it out of your system - AS IF 15mins is enough!! I think an hour is more like it.

Then I shall spend the whole day not thinking about what I must not think about :)
