I'm in Middlesex but can drive in an emergency Grin

NicolaHazel · 16/08/2012 18:16

Ha ha, Lol...that's very nice of you :-) I'm assuming you're not in Portsmouth?!

Currently feeling travel sick on the train.

Need to go to Sainsbury's when I get back. Immense effort.

Lolcbcb · 16/08/2012 18:14

kitty tried to reply earlier but my post disappeared. This is what I get when skiving.
Anyway what I wanted to say is that I felt exactly the same. As if I deserved it and if my body was not good enough to keep a healthy baby. That's perfectly normal to have these thoughts. And they will ease a little- I promise.
Allow yourself time to grieve your baby and look after your body first. Your heart will take a little longer.
And we're here if u need us.
nic I'll drive up to you with a test on sat if yours doesn't arrive! Maybe thats why I've been feeling sick. Tension!

KickTheGuru · 16/08/2012 16:59

And it's not a 12 - 24 hour window, red! :)

I had to explain this to my DH as well. If you get a smiley, your fertile time is anything up to a week. Have you noticed how the calculators give you a fertile time of a week? It's because the egg can drop and survive and die for up to 7 days after the first detected LH surge.

Cue your article and if you stress or something happens, that egg doesn't drop and you can have the surge and drop an egg later on in the cycle. And you can be fertile for anything up to 7 day there again.

KickTheGuru · 16/08/2012 16:57

That important, I thought I would repeat myself too

KickTheGuru · 16/08/2012 16:57

That's my whole ovulation / dropping egg argument though in one article

Lots of DTD because you don't KNOW when the egg drops and anything, including stress, can push that out Hmm

Nic awaiting the next episode. Tonight, please.

Sorry everyone is feeling down. It comes and goes, doesn't it? Hope if goes for you soon.

resipsa · 16/08/2012 16:52

Kitty sorry. Sad for you. Wish I had something to write that would make you feel better but suspect nothing would.

redstrawberry · 16/08/2012 16:40

Kick you are not a failure - chin up and have a good cuddle with DH.
I think we all need those chocs and wine today

redstrawberry · 16/08/2012 16:33

Kitten - Keep your hands to yourself mate Wink

Lately I have actually been constantly thinking if stress has something to do with us me not falling pregnant easily. Do you think we really work ourselves and our bodies up? Which somehow causes a non-fertilized egg?

I mean come on 3 million sperm - swimming into you - DTD EOD - 1 egg - 12-24 hour window. How can they not meet? HOW? How is it even possible?

Then I wonder if the stress stops the magic somehow? This article somehow makes sense.

There is a connection - I mean acupuncture has had a lot success for a reason!

Hmmm... I am going to muse things I can do to relax over the next 10 days. Theres no harm in trying.

winkle2 · 16/08/2012 16:32

Kick ? ditto your post of 14:25 minus the going for a swim bit Grin

RIBS · 16/08/2012 15:45

Kitten Grin Grin Grin

KickTheGuru · 16/08/2012 15:25

HA HA and I will like a total knob if I am

But I'm not

Swum 1.2kms. Feel better. Ish

NicolaHazel · 16/08/2012 15:16

I'm going to feel like a total knob if not pregnant! All this anticipation.

RIBS...no testing at work, no. I will POAS later though. A cheapie.

LOL at kitten!!

Newbie2 · 16/08/2012 14:35

Kitten your post made me laugh. Maybe one step too far :)

RIBS · 16/08/2012 14:29

The amount of pregnant chavs smoking whilst effing and jeffing to their small kids absolutely shocks me. In RL i swear like a sailor (I wish i didnt), particularly after a few drinkys, but NEVER in front or at kids.

KickTheGuru · 16/08/2012 14:25

Kitten

I feel like a fraud for being so sad about it. My life is great in general but I just feel like...a complete and utter fucking failure. I feel like it's one thing in life where it's not a case of how hard you work or how nice you are to anyone else. It's got nothing to do with who "deserves" it or who wants it. I know some horrible, horrible women who don't even want the children they have (they are NOT friends - I wish very bad things happen to them) but people who want kids can't have them? People who use children for their own gain can have them, but those who just want to love and care for and just, see a little mini-me running around, can't?

Grump. I am going swimming

Kittenkatzen · 16/08/2012 14:22

oh god that read wrong didn't it - I meant I would have a stick in my hand......not that i would be sticking my hand anywhere Confused

RIBS · 16/08/2012 14:20

We are nic For years I always thought it was "tenderhooks" and wondered what a tenderhook may look like or be used for! Grin Blush

You testing again tonight or just in the morning?

Kittenkatzen · 16/08/2012 14:20

OMG nicola!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you were in London I'd be marching round to your office, stick in hand, and forcing you to pee on it RIGHT NOW!! Seriously, the suspense is killing me here! :o

kick you sound like me today, i actually had to take myself off to the office toilets this morning as i was getting all weepy at my desk :( I'm not even really sure why. You have a good reason to be weepy though - but you know you will get through this. In the words of my bonkers spin teacher "push down, pull back, pull up and push forward" Ok so she's talking about cycling, but I think I might start applying that to life generally :o

woody17 · 16/08/2012 14:18

kitty I am so sorry to hear your news. Just wanted to say that I am thinking of you.

RIBS · 16/08/2012 14:17

I think the pregnancy unit thing at the hospitals are a nightmare tho. I was in for Medical Management of MMC, for 2 days (bastards - diff story) and all I could hear during that time between the pain and dealing with the massive blood clots, was other women having scans and hearing the heartbeats. It was just torture.

NicolaHazel · 16/08/2012 14:16

Ha ha, Lol...glad you're on tenterhooks too.

And no, RIBS, no testing at work. I did release my sore boobs from my bra in the loo yesterday though!! Luckily not as sore today, just HEAVY.

Now got a headache. Should the vet put me down?!

Kittenkatzen · 16/08/2012 14:09

kitty :(:( i'm so sorry for you. It's horrible but life always seems to have that little extra knife in the back when something shit happens. Make sure you take some time to look after yourself , and yes copius wine and chocolate Thanks
