We filled the last one so I thought I would start no 2.

Did he cut down as promised, winkle?

Weird to think I get married 8 weeks tomorrow. Scary! And exciting. Feels surreal.

winkle2 · 17/08/2012 21:03

I had a row with hub too. He was reading up about sperm and he said that he had read that cutting down on toxins would help and started harping on about free radicals. I said no it means stopping drinking and smoking! And he said there you go again, talking about drinking!!

Grrr if I keep going on about it why doesn't he just stop?!

winkle2 · 17/08/2012 21:00

It is def over the recommended amount !

redstrawberry · 17/08/2012 20:56

Row not tow!

redstrawberry · 17/08/2012 20:51

I had a small tow with DH Sad just a bit snappy today. He managed to pacify me and told me it'll be ok. Just try to picture me holding my baby and it seems so unreal right now. Sad filling up on wine this weekend and going to be positive come Monday

Yes kitty I love blueberries - addicted to them.

Happy honeymoon wishful! Hv a fab time in Thailand xx

Enjoy the Wine RIBS and Nicola. Best of luck with the wedding plans.

I have wine too, When. :-)

Hope you get some answers from your tests. You too winkle.

I worry about H2B's drinking. Not that it's excessive, but it can go over the recommended level. Though this last month he has had far less. Which means that if I'm not up duffed prior to the wedding, he will have super sperm by then :-)

Thank you to everyone for your kind words and support. It means a lot. Xx

RIBS · 17/08/2012 20:32

Sorry everyone's having a shitty time at the moment. It really gets to you. I had a chat with pregnant best friend, I just can't actually see myself with a baby anymore. She said its my defences goin up, just in case and reassured me the best she could, bless her.

Last month there were bfps everywhere this month its all bad news. Sorry red, nicola and winkle that things are just shit at the moment. I'm glad they're looking at what's happening with u whenshewas. It's about time!

Don't think I'm getting any good news and its a local festival all weekend. Guess who's gonna be on the wine for the next 3 days!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 17/08/2012 20:29

Thanks winkle best of luck with yours too. Really good idea to try and get the GP to tell him to cut down on drinking (she says as she clasps a glass of wine).

If I were you I would gestimate how many units your dh is drinking a week, it is bound to be over the recommended limit (before dd dh & I were well over the rec limit, aren't most people) so the GP will pretty much have to tell him to cut down.

Good luck with your tests, when

kittykatsforever · 17/08/2012 19:42

Happy honeymoon wishful, you'll have an amazing time!!
Red was it you who loved blueberrys?

Kittenkatzen · 17/08/2012 19:17

Happy honeymoon wishful, have a lovely time!

winkle2 · 17/08/2012 18:50

Have a lovely honeymoon wishful. Hubby's results were fine apart from morphology which was 1% but docs said that shouldn't affect us conceiving. That means 1% of his sperm is the right shape, etc. normal is 4% so he's just below. Hub is relieved that docs said it shouldn't affect fertility. I get my results back next week we're going to go to docs together and talk to him in detail, see if there's anything more we could be doing. I really want the doctor to tell hubby to stop drinking! Maybe he'll listen then!

Have a nice time Nic this weekend

Lol - thanks for hugs, I need it

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 17/08/2012 18:47

Have a great holiday wishful

I went to GPs today (not my usual one but a locum). He really pissed me off at first but was ok in the end. He has booked me in for blood tests, which I was expecting and a ultrasound which was a bit of a surprise. Also he recommended I get checked out for STDs, which I will get checked but have been with dh for 13 years so if there is a problem there I will kill him.

Am about a week before AF due and already started getting the usual back pains etc - I knew it was a long shot this month but it's so depressing getting a hint so early that AF will strike, without actual AF yet! I am always hopeful for that week, despite knowing its pointless!! Wish my silly brain wouldn't always think positive when it has absolutely no reason at all to do so, and I will end up being disappointed! Angry

fatasbutter · 17/08/2012 18:43

Happy honeymoon wishful!

Lolcbcb · 17/08/2012 18:30

Nic I don't blame you. Ive got a birthday do tonight and don't know if I can drink or not. Almost wish af was here already if it's coming anyway.
Wish have a wonderful honeymoon. Where u off to?
Winkle here's a big e-hug )--o-(

NicolaHazel · 17/08/2012 17:49

Have a lovely honeymoon, wishful :-)

I'm going for wine, pizza and cheesecake tonight. At least two days' calories, I reckon. And I'm meeting a friend for beer in Liverpool tomorrow too. No pregnancy = getting pissed this weekend. Twice. :-/

wishfulthinking1 · 17/08/2012 17:39

Oh girls! I'm just so sorry you're having such a shitty time!

winkle - I didn't realise dh had his results back- what does that 1% mean? How does he feel about it? I agree that talking about it all the time can be exhausting, but at the same time it's also exhausting haven't something on your mind and not being able to talk about it.

I really am so sorry you're having such a tough time on this thread. Take some time in the cod, drink wine, eat lovely cheese and look after yourselves.

I'm all packed and off on honeymoon in the early hours, so I shan't be around for a while, hope to see some positive news when I'm back,
X

kittykatsforever · 17/08/2012 17:11

I'm sorry but your comment about not being pregnant and fat did make me laugh winkle I know what you mean, I had half a stone of extra weight from dd but thought well what's the point is like to say I'm on a diet but given my last month I've just had a McDonald's and don't give a shit, I'm depressed anyway, I may aswell be fat too!!!
Plus I still have of symptoms, from what I've read most people loose them when they mc however I still have sore boobs, headache tiredness to the extreme etc
I'm not under any illusions my levels have droped from over 800 to 500 odd but is it the hcg still causing it?? Kick??

winkle2 · 17/08/2012 16:54

I just had a long old cry to hubby on the phone about it all.

We have agreed to not talk about it tonight and then I've got a hen do this weekend and he's got his night out. he said he just needs a release and time away so I won't begrudge him his night out.

He said something similar to you red. He said it just hurts all the time and seeing other people get pregnant is like a kick in the guts.

redstrawberry · 17/08/2012 16:25

COD = A very warm and welcoming Cave of Depression :( I have been it all month I think.

redstrawberry · 17/08/2012 16:24

I feel fat and miserable too. I am on a healthy diet -but it seems like I seem to be putting on more weight with this TTC business than loosing it.

Its bad enough that we go through crap but the pregnancy emails and announcements make it so much worse. Its like you get punched by BFNs and kicked on top of it. When did life get so unfair?

I have focused on work today and realized I haven't thought about it for a few hours. So its helped a bit. But now I am back to thinking - will I or wont I ever get pregnant....

Lolcbcb · 17/08/2012 16:23

I'm up for it!
Just realised I don't understand the name of the thread lol
What is COD????
Glad u lot welcomed me even though I had no idea!
I will be running a massive branch for the next 3 weeks and will have plenty to worry about. So might not even notice if af is late! as if that's possible

winkle2 · 17/08/2012 16:12

I can't eat bad food either cause I'm on a diet ! Woe is me! I relaxed my diet when I started TTC thinking that I'm gonna get pregnant and fat anyway! Year later I'm not pregnant but I am fat!

All these month's of nothing is just confirming the feeling I have that it's never going to happen for me.
