We filled the last one so I thought I would start no 2.

It was, it was so much worse then my previous mc as I wasn't expecting that and atleast when it went it was one day and I just knew, this time I thought it was over time and time again but kept having conflicting things like darker lines and hcg rising, what I worried this time was as the pregnancy seemed to be trying to progress that my progesterone is maybe low? I don't get any symptoms before af etc and this was the only time I had pg symptoms I just worry that may have helped but ofcourse they will not test etc until I go through it again, it just seems unfair especially as while I was bleeding and levels were still rising it was just a shrug we don't know, they wouldn't examine me or anything. Surley a blood test can't be that expensive??

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 18/08/2012 19:53

Oh kitty that extra bleeding sounds awful. My heart really went out to you this month. At least with my last two cps I knew straight away it was going to go wrong. It wasn 't great but I didn't feel like it lost anything because I knew it was going to fail.

You were in limbo for do long it must have been hideous.

So you had no problems before dd? Apart from the time it took me I had no mc ( that I'm aware of etc either) I don't know what's gone wrong now either, logically I think well I've done it before but now feel like is 2 in a row more then bad luck so I know how you must feel, the epu more or less said the same to me with this one although I pointed out that I actually had been over a week late with + test and and felt pg, that aside I would still have gone to the doctors after bleeding for over 2 weeks as that's definatly not normal for me, I literally had normal af, 3 days fine then have been bleeding for 8 days now ontop!!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 18/08/2012 19:40

That's right kitty she is 18 months old. Part of me thinks you've done it before and you will do it again you know you can carry a baby to term.

The illogical paranoid part of me thinks either my dd was a fluke and I have a major issue or somehow something broke after having dd. By far the most likely thing is that I have just been a bit unlucky. Chem preg is horribly common.

The GP pissed me off a bit when he said that in the old days women wouldn't have known they were pregnant until about two missed periods and then suggested I just don't test for two to four weeks after a missed period. Completely unrealistic. I pointed out that I am never late and get implantation bleeding so I always know when it is happening.

Honestly can't believe he thought it was sensible not to poas for a month after a missed period.

Whenshewas you have a dd already right?

Newbie2 · 18/08/2012 18:48

Sorry I meant rest not result...have results on the brain!

Newbie2 · 18/08/2012 18:47

Thanks Whenshe my DH thought we could have a result while I'm being checked out but i'm really keen to keep going :-/

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 18/08/2012 18:10

newbie that's good news about your results and uterus. Fx everything else checks out ok too.

winkle sorry you are taking a break. You are right to protect your relationship. I love my dh to bits and we have a great relationship but you have to keep working on it to keep everything running smoothly.

Best of luck concentrating on you and him (we will miss you if you are not around as much).

I wasn't sure if I should keep trying in Sept but the GP said to keep trying while everything gets investigated. I got the impression he thought I was a neurotic hypochondriac who has no real issue but should just chill out. please be right

Whenshe my dr gave me an internal examination to check that my uterus & ovaries feel normal and to see if there is any particular tenderness or painful areas. Swabs were taken to rule out infection. The results came back fine. Apparently my uterus feels normal and no infection was found. Thankfully one tick off the list!

winkle2 · 18/08/2012 16:12

Yes that's how I feel that we need to protect our relationship.

I'll prob be on here less but will check in from time to time.

Lolcbcb · 18/08/2012 15:14

Winkle I think that is a fab idea! There's a lot to be said for sex for fun!
I tried to do the same after mc. This month I've changed my diet, drank a lot less and started on pg vitamins. Then u have other things in mind
Enjoy the weddings and u never know what might happen. And protect your relationship as that is previous too. Hope u feel better after making this decision.
U are not leavjng the thread though are you? (panic emoticon)

winkle2 · 18/08/2012 15:02

Spoke to hub earlier. We're going to have Sept off TTC. We're on hols and have a couple of weddings so other stuff to focus on. We're going to spend the month focusing on getting healthy and changing our lifestyle so cutting back boozing and smoking and changing diet without the added pressure of TTC.

We both feel that something's about to 'pop' and we don't want it to be our relationship so we're going to back off a bit TTC.

Does that make sense?

weechops · 18/08/2012 14:01

wishful have a fabulous honeymoon

woody and winkle really sorry af got you :(

I had a drunken night out with the girls last night at a new place in town called Cup. It is girlie paradise - desserts, cupcakes and cocktails!!! I don't really drink, but they were sooo tasty. I'm cd11 today and hoping to get a smiley face in the next few days on the opk.

resipsa · 18/08/2012 13:59

Double post, oops. Blame the frustration at not being able to get away from thoughts of babies!

resipsa · 18/08/2012 13:58

Someone's having a laugh; am having hair cut in city centre. Never seen kids in there before until, of course, today. Mummy is in getting her hair done and doting Daddy is sitting about 4 feet from me holding the (gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous) 1 month old. Why am I not her???

NicolaHazel · 18/08/2012 12:34

That is true, resipsa...Oz is large enough to escape them though :-)

resipsa · 18/08/2012 12:28

Hi when - 4 hours to self should be a dream, shouldn't it? Slightly worried about whether or not DD will sleep at all today, though!

resipsa · 18/08/2012 12:26

But Nic you've not met my (Brisbane based - dull) PsIL! Wink

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 18/08/2012 12:25

Poor you resipsa I know what you mean, I hate ttc, I just can't focus on anything else while this crap is going on. Wish there was a tried and tested way to snap out of it but I don't think it exists.

OP posts:
kittykatsforever · 18/08/2012 12:18

Sorry winkle Sad but cd28 is still pretty early I'd leave it for a good few days between tests, if you remember mine were bfn for ages and I was leaving 5 days and every time I got a neg I was bummed for the day when in the end it was positive ( obviously that didn't end the best way) but if we stick to the fact that a bfn doesn't necessarily mean its not worked yet!!
I agree on the oz front if I could I'd be there now

resipsa · 18/08/2012 12:04

The thing I hate most about this prolonged TTC business is that I've lost the ability to be at peace with myself. Here I am with some time to myself and all I am thinking about is why am I not 7 months gone (with ref to MMC). Used to love a day/night to myself but no more. Feel the pieces don't fit (and never will).
God, need to snap out of it NOW.

NicolaHazel · 18/08/2012 11:57

I'm sorry, winkle. It's so shit :-(

I'm having the most painful, but conversely lightest, period ever. It's almost done with already. Most odd indeed.

If my OH was an Aussie, I wouldn't be here, resipsa. :-/

Lolcbcb · 18/08/2012 11:40

Oh winkle u r having a pretty shitty time. Sad
Hope af comes soon and u can start working on next month.
I'd love to go to australia! Have been to the far east loads but not there yet.

resipsa · 18/08/2012 11:19

Woody v jealous! DH is an Aussie (DD has her own Aussie passport already). Love diving on the Reef. Sigh.
Nic my view from the MLC Centre was of Darling Harbour.
Must try to remember why we live in the UK...
Sorry winkle. Don't be too Sad.
