wow Storm, lovely stories!

resipsa · 22/08/2012 15:00

Mersea sounds a bit stressful. Hope the easiest option is available. Never, ever thought I'd consider IVF but if no luck for us bu the end of the year, I think I might try to persuade DH to give it 1 go in the hope that if no luck, I could say to myself "I'm done" knowing I'd tried. So much easier to type than do, I suspect.

Dexidoo · 22/08/2012 14:52

stormbird what lovely stories to share. I'm a big believer in fate and karma.

I'm 33 too Smile

frustratedpants · 22/08/2012 14:35

Hi ladies

weechops I'm 33 this year too!

Oh storm I feel like blubbing at your fate stories they're lovely lil romantic ad a bit hormonal me

Mersea · 22/08/2012 14:01

Hi resipsa Hope things are good with you. He is doing ok thanks, think he is off to France in a couple of weeks with work canoeing and whitewater rafting with the boys. Not sure if to go away for a few days myself but no one really available, could go with my mum I guess!

Appointment at hospital fairly uneventful today, got a scan on Tuesday and if the cysts have not gone then I have to have some tablets to disperse them. If they have gone then I have a choice of another 3 months on clomid or similar drug or go straight onto IVF.

resipsa · 22/08/2012 13:35

Hmm, 33 - still makes me feel old but not as bad as if you'd been 25! Envy

resipsa · 22/08/2012 13:34

God Storm your second fate story made me cry! Pass the vibes to me for 15th, please!

weechops · 22/08/2012 13:33

Ah stormbird that was lovely. I love hearing stories like that.

resipsa my birthday is on 6th september and I'm gonna be.................33!

redstrawberry · 22/08/2012 13:21

thanks Storm that was a lovely post. Def have a positive vibe buzzing through me after reading that.

Badly want to see that pink line on a stick

Winkle :( it does suck and its so unpredictable and frustrating. Especially when there's nothing wrong biologically, but the sperm and egg just need to meet and settle in. I think you've mad the right decision to take some time off it. Its so physically emotionally and mentally draining.

StormBird · 22/08/2012 13:09

I've got a couple of Fate stories (or whatever you want to call it so I shall share (if you don't mind)

Firstly I met my DP on a girlie holiday in 2006 (he was on a boys holiday.....nuff said) I met him on my 2nd day of a 2wk holiday and he was going home 2 days later. The day he went home we said goodbye and I said to my friend - 'one day I'll marry that boy'. We had exchanged numbers and kept in contact for the duration of my holiday. When I flew back I couldn't wait to speak to him, my uncle picked me up from the airport and took me back to his house where my auntie did all my washing as I fell asleep on a sunlounger in the garden (hungover!) Anyway, my auntie came outside and said 'there's something banging around in the washing machine' so I said 'don't worry it'll just be a flip flop'. Well it wasn't - it was MY FRICKING PHONE!!!!! After realising this I pulled the phone out of the washing and dismantled it in the hope I could dry it out in the sun. I was secretly beside myself cos I had no other way of contacting my DP, I didn't have an address for him and I didn;t know his phone number. So after I decided it was dry enough I put the phone back together and as I did he rang............and the rest is history

The second story is that on the 9th November 2010 I was having a very bad day - it was meant to be my first babies due date and that night I decided to talk to him/her and let him/her know that I was ready now to let go and that although what happened was sad I understood that there was a reason and that tomorrow I would have a lovely day and would start over but I wouldn't forget. The next day i felt ridiculously happy and that afternoon my phone beeped up to remind me that it was infact my test day and low and behold I got a BFP

Is that fate? I dunno but I second Weechops Mum 'what's for you won't go by you'

Sorry for the long post, just thought you might appreciate the above :)

winkle2 · 22/08/2012 13:07

I thought I'd be pregnant for Xmas 2011
Then my birthday in Jan
Mothers Day
Then for our first wedding anniversary in April
Fathers' Day
My mum's birthday?

The list goes on

Life sucks

redstrawberry · 22/08/2012 12:58

me too Angry pissed off with fate big time.
I thought I'd be pregnant on holiday
I thought I'd be pregnant for my birthday
I thought I'd be pregnant before fathers day
I thought I'd be pregnant before my mum's bday

The number of times I thought I'd like to announce it on fathers day, tell my mum shes a nan. And I came so close to it last month. Don't feel like planning ahead anymore.

People at my work are already discussing Christmas do's :( :( I just wanna say stop saying "Christmas" I don't know if i will even be pregnant by then?!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 22/08/2012 12:21

fate has been pissing me off lately Grin

OP posts:
resipsa · 22/08/2012 12:11

I meant 25!

resipsa · 22/08/2012 11:59

Weechops which b'day is it for you? Please don't say 2 (or similar) or I'll feel the need to cry myself Grin.

resipsa · 22/08/2012 11:55

Storm, yeah, I know, thought Gretta was a wee bit soft especially after M had revealed what happened to her baby brother Sad. If you remenbered something like that and were told to come in to hospital, you'd just go, surely (and not discharge yourself early!)? Boyfriend was funny, too. Way, way too cool - until he saw the baby then blubbed!

StormBird · 22/08/2012 11:36

Sorry for the BFN's and the AF arrivals!! Keep your chins up there's still hope, I'm routing for you all.

I saw the Midwives programme resipsa it was amazing. I am classed as High Risk when PG and it was great to see what other High Risk women go through on their PG journeys and I'm so please for all the happy endings. However, I did want to grab 17yr old Mary by the shoulders and shake her and shout ' DO YOU NOT REALISE HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS, JUST DO WHAT THEY SAY YOU SILLY GIRL' . Urgh, glad I got that off my chest LOL.

kittykatsforever · 22/08/2012 11:35

I believe in fate too, that would be lovely!!
(fate has been pissing me off of late though Hmm)

weechops · 22/08/2012 11:27

resipsa I totally believe in fate. My mum always had a saying 'what's for you won't go by you' and I like to think it's true. I mean, how shit would it be for me to be all alone on my birthday as dh is working away, and have no bfp to make me happy. Surely fate wouldn't be so cruel as to give me a bfn for my birthday present :)

winkle2 · 22/08/2012 11:21

I had sore boobs last month but it didn't amount to anything :(

resipsa · 22/08/2012 11:07

Oh and there's the fact that two days after my birthday we're going away on holiday to the same place we went two years ago two days after I'd got my BFP with DD. I wish that I believed in fate!

How're you all today?

resipsa · 22/08/2012 10:58

18 month sleep regression strikes, I fear. We're used to a straight 13 hours Confused.
In an idle moment, just worked out that IF it happened this month, as well as BFP on my birthday, bubs due date would be our 13th wedding anniversary. I've said it before, I'll say it again - if my life were a film, we'd be spending the anniversary on the delivery suite...

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 22/08/2012 09:28

resipsa I could have predicted your dd would have had a bad night. Mine was up for hours too. (so tired so very very tired).

OP posts:
resipsa · 22/08/2012 09:05

Thanks red. Last time I got a BFP, the sore boobs were the only giveaway...

redstrawberry · 22/08/2012 08:54

Lol kitty thanks... I was trying so hard to not SS.
tbh I haven't had any symptoms except sore boobs. No twinges or pulls.

My hopeful side really wants this sore boob action to be something good.
But my sensible side is telling me AF is about to arrive.

BFN this morning too. Was wishing there was a faint line... but after 15mins of squinting at 5.30am I gave up and accepted it was a stark white negative.

res not sure - in a prev cycle I took EPO from the day I started my period and in my fertile period it didnt make much difference - it was same as before.
