For myself, Moo, Count, Irish and anyone else who has had difficulty conceiving or has recently experienced miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.

We don't yet really believe that we're pregnant and we certainly don't want to high tail it to the pregnancy board quite yet so here's our halfway house until the 12 week scan!

Quickly popping in to say hi-

Moo afraid I can't really help my love, as wasn't sicky, but did have some queasy mornings, so kept a packet of gingernuts by the bed- then I'd eaten something before I even expended any energy getting up. If you haven't already tried that, I recommend giving it a go.

39.5 weeks here... sigh.
Peanut will be a virgo now, am hoping for an imminent happening as she has been beating the crap out of me!

Ladies who've had it go wrong, I'm really sorry to hear that, hopefully it won't be long before you're back in the saddle.

Ladies awaiting scans with baited breath, fingers crossed!

Discolite · 23/08/2012 18:10

Oh Moo that sounds horrid. Poor you! I won't give any advice as I'm sure you've tried everything. Just try to keep eating. Why don't you pop over and ask Festie if she can suggest anything, I know she had a really rough first trimester.

I think if you are so ill you are off work the doctor should really do something. You can't just be signed off for nausea for potentially another month (if not longer - sorry). I can understand why they take hyperemesis seriously cos of dehydrated but being unable to do your job is a serious matter in my opinion.

Thanks Kitty yeah got some of those, but they do nothing but aggravate my tendinitis! Went to the docs last week and they said that unless I was being sick and not keeping anything down there was nothing they could do! I might go back in the morning though because it's getting to the point where I just can't do anything!

kittykatsforever · 23/08/2012 13:24

Moo have you tried a sea sickness band? You get them for going on cruises and they can help aparently and I can imagine it would as it's a sea sickness type feeling isn't it, you should be able to get them from a chemist plus if it's really bad you can get prescribed pills at the doc specifically for it x

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 23/08/2012 12:53

Hi ladies, sorry about being AWOL, I feel worse than rubbish. Have been off work all week as the sickness is just horrendous. Luckily have only been physically sick once, but the nausea and retching lasts all day. I have tried everything! Nothing works. Really struggling to see an end to this. Have forgotten what it feels like to feel normal Sad only 8 weeks as well Sad

Sorry for self indulgence, I'll read up proper later, I promise!

Hope all are ok Smile

Discolite · 23/08/2012 10:35

Hope you are ok Berries if you are reading!

Count, I veer between "I'm having a baybee!" happiness and being scared. A totally normal reaction I suppose. It makes me a bit sad to think that most people at the 12 week scan are worried about Downs and I'm just praying for it to be alive. Oh well, let's not be morbid! So you have a little bump?! Sweet. My gut popped out at 4 weeks, only water retention I think. I got excited on Tuesday as I thought it had gone down a bit but no, it's back again. I'll just have to tell my colleagues who I haven't seen for 6 weeks that I pigged out over the holidays or they.ll start to speculate...

As for not eating much, are you taking a pregnancy multivitamin and mineral? If so, then I wouldn't worry too much. Your little foetus (as mine became this week and yr ahead of me) will take what it needs. Women have endured morning sickness since the dawn of time and as long as the eating picks up in trimester 2 and 3 I think all will be well.

I've had the PiL staying. They don't know (for various reasons we,ll tell them when we think things are going to work out) I'm pregnant. The worst thing was I felt embarrassed at the state of the garden. DPs dad is a great gardener and I normally love it but with the weird weather, depression after the mc and the exhaustion and sickness of the first trimester I've neglected it this year. I just kept wanting to say "I've got a good excuse why it's a mess!" he didn't say anything but I know he wondered about it.

I've got my booking in appointment next Wednesday after finally getting through to the midwife. I'll be 11+2 which is quite late but I guess she knows i know what I'm doing as I last saw her in March after all.

Moo! Where are you? You've been AWOL for a week now. I do hope everything is ok x

Ilove - gutted for you, and I understand why stepping away is how your feeling that's what I did as the string of BFP came along and another month of trying came!!! This may be a good thing taking the pressure out and letting it happen!
Disco - I totally understand your feelings as my scan approaches I'm flippin scared!!!! Sickness and sore boobs is still here and my belly has started to form I'm just surprised and today my DH told me looking pregnant so out goes trying to hide it although many people I know wouldnt be so forwards to asked!!!
With being sick most of the day I'm not eating much and getting concerned I'm not helping my baby at all, may have to see gp about it as no mw as I'm opted for my non local hospital and at my gp the mw all come from there!!!
DH made a lovely meal I had a bit then felt bloated and had to stop!
Digested food has slowed down to allow baby to get the goodies from it but its awful for us - roll on 2nd trimester!

iloveberries · 20/08/2012 16:18

Thanks disco. Course I'll still check in...... Just feel I need a break from all the ss, cd counting and "this could be it" chat. Don't get me writing it is lovely to have the support but I just know I need some time out.

So pleased all is looking good for you. Good luck to everyone else xx

Discolite · 20/08/2012 15:23

Berries, I miss you too! So sorry about AF, I know you kind of thought this month would be it. Maybe stepping away from the boards would be a good thing, I know you had a hiatus before. It is easy to get caught up in TTC madness, and sometimes the constant positive thinking doesn't help.

I hope a more relaxed approach reaps dividends for you. Please check back every so often tho, don't want to lose you altogether!

Irish and Kitty hope you are both as ok as circumstances allow. Don't feel you have to go if you need the support, we're very good at support x x x

Count, how are you doing? How's the sickness? Any other symptoms.?

Moo, where are you? You've been gone for ages! Hope all is ok.

The sickness is still present on and off, which is good as it went about a week before my mmc was discovered last time. I'm ten weeks today which is when it went wrong before so I'm having a bit of a weird day. My bloating has gone down a bit so hopefully I'll be able to hide it better at work when I go back. I'm going a bit mental now about the scan, 16 days to go, am just hoping and praying all is well this time.

On a lighter note, the elderly and frail PiL are arriving today for their annual visit (we visit them more obvs) so I've done more tidying and cleaning in one day than I have for months! Including emptying the bedside cabinet of preg tests, OPKs and pre seed Grin

Well af arrived tonight. That's it for me on these boards for a while I think. Need a break from thinking about ttc Sad

Good luck you lovely ladies. And thanks for all your support over the last year xxx

iloveberries · 19/08/2012 16:55

Hey ladies - how are you all doing?
I'm ok. Af due tomorrow. I did an early test on sat as we went to a wedding and got a bfn so think she will be arriving in earnest Sad. It seems that every month I have pregnancy symptoms which turn out to be af!

For some reason I didn't feel as upset as I expected to. I'm just over ttc to be honest and I miss you guys on the old thread!!

irish and kitty - I am so so sorry to read your sad news. Thinking of you both.

Munchin · 19/08/2012 00:08

A quick hello to disco, moo and count. How's it going? Hope yous are doing well.

Munchin · 19/08/2012 00:06

Oh Irish I have just read our news. I'm Soo sorry, my heart goes out to you. The absolute shock of news of no heartbeat after two successful scans must have been awful. I too found out about my mmc at my first dating scan so I can totally appreciate your pain. I know everything seems very bleak just now and to take a break from ttc is a good idea but don't shut the door completely just yet to ttc in future. Take time and see how you feel in the coming months. god bless and take care.

Irishmammybread · 17/08/2012 22:58

Thank you everyone for the sympathy , I know you all understand.
I think I'll stop posting on this thread as it's not fair me bringing everyone else down . I wish all you expectant mothers all the best and will still lurk on the sidelines occasionally to see how you're doing.
Once again thanks for the support.
xxx

Discolite · 17/08/2012 10:51

Kitty I'm so so sorry. You must be feeling terrible. Please come back here and talk about things if you feel you want to. Like you said, at least you know now, and sometimes even knowing the worst is better than constantly worrying.

Irish, you have had more bad luck than anyone deserves to have, I hope you can make some decisions about how to proceed soon. I had went for medically managed when I had my mmc and it was ok. I was in a side room though, I can imagine having to go through it on a ward would be hard. The problem with waiting would be that it could start anytime anywhere and then it might be even harder to explain to your children?

All I know is that like Count I know how you both feel. Sending virtual hugs both your way and I am so sorry for your losses. xxxxxxxx

OP posts:
Countmyblessings · 16/08/2012 20:01

Irish - I'm sobbing as I know that pain, I wish the pain of having a MMC just never happened as your body is still sending the hormones around and you feel pregnant!!! That's my nightmare that happening again for me I had a ERPC it was quick and I came home same day - the right choice for me as couldn't handle the waiting for it to happen as I went so far and it didn't the last time!
Thoughts and prayers xxx

kittykatsforever · 16/08/2012 19:50

Irish, there are no words, I'm so sorry x

Irishmammybread · 16/08/2012 19:37

I'm out too I'm afraid, went for a reassurance scan this am but no heartbeat and little one measuring 8w6d, should be almost 10 weeks so died last week.
I've no bleeding and still feel very pregnant. Not sure what we're going to do now, I could wait for the miscarriage to happen naturally or go for medical or surgical management. At the moment I'm thinking of natural management as my Dd1 12 and Dd2 8 didn't know I was pregnant so I'm still trying to shield them from it all and if I go into hospital it will be harder to explain. The only thing is not knowing when I might start and knowing I'm still carrying my dead baby is hard. I'm a bit shell shocked I suppose, three miscarriages since March is hard to take.DH thinks it may be time to stop trying. I'm beyond devastated but trying to put a brave face on.
Kittykats, thinking of you, so sorry you're going through this too.

kittykatsforever · 16/08/2012 17:35

Had my hcg and it's gone down since Sunday, to be honist that was the result I wanted as I couldn't take any more of not knowing what was happening atleast I'm not in limbo anymore as I have been, I hope all you girls are the lucky ones, x

Countmyblessings · 16/08/2012 17:25

Kitty - I'm so sorry it just crap the not knowing and the waiting !
I'm praying that you may of been less then you first thought and all will be well! We are all here to fully support you as we all know in different ways how life can be so unfair and crap most of the flippin time!

Sorry previous message was supose to say climbing!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 16/08/2012 14:27

Oh Kitty I'm so, so sorry for what you are going through. You are in my thoughts and prayers!!

kittykatsforever · 16/08/2012 13:54

Don't know for definate how far but I believe 5 wks + my levels shod have been 3000and they can see pregnancy sac from 1000+ feel really stupid for allowing myself hope for a little miracle after it seemed to survive the last bleed but no, feel just about crippled by it to be honist

Countmyblessings · 16/08/2012 13:34

No kitty I don't believe it!!! They saw nothing on the scan is it too early kitty how far are you, sorry cant remember.
When I found out I was 4 weeks and nothing on scan but bloods imbed over a week and then it was confirmed no ectopic!
Could it be too early kitty?

kittykatsforever · 16/08/2012 13:08

Well I'm out, epu couldn't see anything so apart from bloods to confirm that's it, 2 miscarriages in a row, when life decides to kick you it makes sure your well and truley down doesn't it Sad

Countmyblessings · 16/08/2012 12:50

Kitty - I pray all is well with your scan xxx
