liddy I try and stay lying down after dtd and also put a pillow under my bum and put my legs in the air!

I try and stay laid down for at least 40 mins, usually we dtd before bed in which case I just stay laying down.

Liddy100 · 02/09/2012 18:48

Ps. Friends have told me too to try and lay down for a while afterwards. Another said that when she was TTC she wanted to make it fun so started doing headstand afterwards...had her husband holding her legs...she said it lightened the mood Blush !!!

Pps...congrats to those of you who have
Made a baby already Smile xx

Liddy100 · 02/09/2012 18:28

Tell me about it ladies!!!

My husband and I have only been ttc for a month and already its driving me MAD! Is anyone else struggling to stop it all being a constant thought in their mind? Its literally all im thinking about. I really dont want to be one of those people who is overly obsessed with making a baby.

it doesnt help that everyone around me seems to be preggers, just giving birth or asking me when we're gonna have babies

Im taking my Boots pre-conception vitamins, trying to eat all the right foods and even making my husband take vitamins too.

Fingers crossed for next month! xx

No idea puppy its not like any other AF I have ever had but don't thinks it's anything else as haven't DTD in a week or so :-s

OP posts:
PuppyMummy · 02/09/2012 09:42

is it af?
last month I had some light spotting to start and hoped it mite be implantation.

it was just af! I have totally given up symptom spotting nowadays cos in 6 cycles I have had it all and its never anything!
so annoying!

if I do ever actually get pregnant I think I will faint with shock!

Bunnygirlie · 01/09/2012 23:29

Well sometimes it's just hideous isn't it!!!

Think it's just plain old AF, prob for the best really after all the wine I drank at wedding last night I would have pickled the poor thing!

Fx bunny

also liked your 'goblin' description!! Grin

MaxDaisy · 31/08/2012 11:05

Its reassuring to hear ladies in similar positions! Ive started of in a negative mind as lots of my friends have had difficulty in concieving so i automatically assume i will too, because Im just naturally unlucky and also i think ive left it late esp as i always wanted a big family (4 is my ideal number!!!!) but really wanted to be settled and married first!

Hubby is working funny shifts atm which clash with me so can't see this cycle being lucky but you never know! Still really want a lovely birthday surprise in september!

Bunny my last af was like that and i managed to convince myself it was implantation bleeding which i found info about on google (yes im a googler.. worse habit EVER!) so Fx thats whats happening to you!

Bunnygirlie · 31/08/2012 08:33

Welcome Hoping! I know what you mean with erratic periods, mine range from 30 to 36 days so I don't know where I am!
I thought AF had started yesterday but after a little bleed in the morn I had nothing all day or overnight, then a little bit this morn, very odd! But I do now how tummy pains like my lining is being ripped off by a goblin so I'm guessing evil AF is coming soon lol

Hello all, I am also new to the making babies game. I am 29 and hubby 31. Currently stuck in that awful 2 week wait after doing it like mad over the ovulation period last weekend. Been trying since came off pill in June so aware that it's really early days. Not sure when to start testing cos periods a bit erratic (31 and 41 day cycle recorded so far). Just glad that I am ovulating really ( am using those sticks, super cheap on amazon). Really can't imagine seeing a bfp so need to get over that mental block. Am thinking of going for acupuncture if nothing's happened by Xmas.

Bunnygirlie · 30/08/2012 22:39

Ooh Crikey lots more lovely ladies joining our chat :-)
(grins and waves)
Somebody at work mentioned today his wife is 6 weeks pregnant, I was like I don't wanna hear that today grrrrrrrr
Fx for everyone!

hello all! Can i join? I'm also over 30 (33 and counting) and TTC no1. Been a bit down tonight as I'd been feeling 'lucky' this month and by my count I was due on Wed...tried a FR test tonight and (after repeatedly digging it out of the bin just in case) have to accept that I'm out of the fame again. I knew really when I put on my usual pms lb in weight and started getting crampy feelings yesterday but nothing like diggin head in sand. Just waiting for AF to start so I can look foward to trying again :) oh we've been trying since Jan so starting to get a wee bitty worried. I have 36 day cycles and by my count AF is going to raise her ugly head during my belated honeymoon in 5 weeks time...or I could get a lovely surprise on hol!!!

PuppyMummy · 30/08/2012 18:56

were all over 30 on this thread I think ?

I have been with my oh for 10 yrs hut we only decided about 2 yrs ago that we wanted kids and also wanted to get our house in order before we started! we had just moved and it needed a lot of work.

all ready and waiting for baby now!

frantastic1 · 30/08/2012 12:47

Hi Janey,
I'm the same as you, didn't meet the right man until my late 20s, but there are more and more of us 'older' mums!
I know i'm glad I waited - managed to get all the 'living' done first, buy a house, find the man who shares the same values and I know will be a great dad.
I envy those who found all that earlier in life but we're there now!

toffeesam · 30/08/2012 12:17

Sorry Bunny, glad you are staying positive.

big wave to those who have just joined.

janey1234 · 30/08/2012 10:20

Hello all! Can I join?
As someone else said, you sound like my kind of girls - and I just can't understand the other massive threads!
I'm 37 and just started ttc. I know I've left it late but it's definitely not through choice - just didn't meet the right man until now.
Congrats to those of you who are pg already - amazing news Smile

MaxDaisy · 30/08/2012 09:44

My cycles are all diff too, so lots of guess work for me too.

Sorry to hear af came bunny, last month i was so convinced i was pregnant, was few days late and had every single symptom and just as i popped out to buy test i got af. I was gutted as i'd let myself get all excited. Even started to think of cute ways to tell hubby when he got in from work! Test now sitting in bathroom cupboard mocking me! Will learn my lesson though and not over think the symptoms!

PuppyMummy · 30/08/2012 08:58

welcome max fx for u

sorry af got u bunny but agree on the upside as u have said!

I ha e stopped using anything to workout ovulation because my cycles r different each month, anywhere between 22 and 26 days. were just dtd at least eod from day 7/8 to day 20.

another September birthday here!

Bunnygirlie · 30/08/2012 08:28

AF has arrived, gutted!!! :-(

I guess I have to look on the positive side (which isn't like me), I have my cousins wedding evening do Friday night and it's our first wedding anniversary next weekend so at least I can have some fizz!

Also at least it was a day after my app predicted it, hopefully I can work out when I'm ovulating next.

MaxDaisy · 29/08/2012 22:24

Thanks for the welcome Bunnygirlie my friend suffers with IBS and I know its awful! Hopefully no AF for you though, fingers crossed.

I've just calculated my days and I think I'm ovulating now or at least over next few days, Hubby works funny hours though so definately need to sort out some time together!!!

Bunnygirlie · 29/08/2012 22:09

Hellooooo welcome newbies, yep a small select group here, some of the other threads are far too complicated for me!

Hey puppy smears are no fun at all!

Had a grotty week, my IBS playing up this week and Tuesday I was so bloated I looked 4 months preggers! And I think AF is due any day now :-(

OP posts:
MaxDaisy · 29/08/2012 22:08

Hi all, can I join in too?
I got married in June and we started trying right away. Had started to get my body into baby mode few months earlier so was all set to go. Nothing as yet but early days so im not stressing yet! We have our gorgeous pets (names above) to keep us company until then and like others have said they are our babies and we think of them as practice!!!

My birthday in Sept and would LOVE a BFP as a present!

Wanttostayinbedallday · 29/08/2012 21:44

Started TTC in May but not luck yet. Feel like all my friends and family are waiting for me to announce I am preggers but it's not happening. It's actually reassuring to see I'm not the only one still waiting even though it's only been a few months...

frantastic1 · 29/08/2012 20:40

Thanks all, I'm 34 and have been married for 3 years. Been really into my career until this last 6 months and now it just feels right.
I've no idea about me cycle or anything yet, just trying to work it all out.
Everyone seems very knowledgable on here. I agree about feeling like there are babies and pregnant ladies everywhere.
My twin sister is pregnany with her second and had decided it will be great to be on Mat Leave together - no pressure then!!
