Having recommended this fab little gadget for everyone ttc I wonder whether everyone who has now got one wants to join a thread and keep each other posted on our fern days etc?!

About me: Am ttc db2 but still bfeeding dd (9mths) about once a day. No af since giving birth so no idea if ovulating etc but have just started using my isis scope :o

Thats what I suspected so used that- means I can't just lick then? Would it really matter?

bobblehead - sub lingual means under the tongue so i think you need to use that saliva

No frens for meSad. Hope I did it right! My leaflet said to use finger to put on sublingual saliva- sorry for being thick but where is sublingual from?! I think I will just lick it next time sounds a bit easier!

Thanks teacups :-) Bobblhead - you have to remove the lens and lick the flat side, wait for it to dry for about 10 mins, then replace lens and look at it!
Mine came with a great leaflet so if yours didn;t let me know and i can email you a copy!
Good luck MrsBilly - i'm sure you will get some ferns - you have more chance than us lot who are still bfeeding anyway :-)

I've had my scope for about a month now (I think), started licking as soon as it came but then thought maybe I should wait for beginning of next cycle!!! I also licked the wrong side to start with Blush. Am now worried, being the negative type that I am, that I'm not going to get ferns at all and won't be ov'ing. Had m/c in December and not sure how long things will take to settle down. I think I know when I'm ov'ing anyway, get quite a lot of cm (TMI!!)but we'll see this month with the scope if I'm right. Lots of luck to everyone!!

Been away for the weekend without DH so no BD opportunities. feeling rather stressed and very tearful, so wonder if AF is on the way. I'll keep licking the scope and let you know.

bobblehead - "Either you'll be pg or get af and we'll know you ov, or neither and you didn't". Unfortunately the arrival of af, even if you've had ferning and +ve opks doesn't necessaily mean you've ov'd. I've got plenty of day 21 day blood tests to prove it Sad.

yeah my dream is to tandem feed.... My friend just got af back and she gave up breastfeeding 4 months ago, so kind of think your body just does it when ready. Would hate to give up and it still not come back for ages!!!! At least this way I feel there is a really good reason for it.

Hopefully you're right and the ferns mean something. I think I might give up bfeeding soon. I love the closeness of it though.
Would be lovely to tandem feed though..

AArrgghh its all just so irritating! Ahh well at least i got an engagement ring yesterday - i guess you can;t have everything at once/ I suppose at least we know we've got pg once so we can (in theory!) do it again!!

Also Envy at you SIL ! Bet he's gorgeous...i;d love a little boy next time :)

Reading through the messageboards on that link Beartime gave on the other thread, there was someone saying that it is like OPKs and only detects a surge in hormones which does not prove ov, but not sure if that is true. Don't you hate that noone really knows? Its the "time will tell" that frustrates me. Either you'll be pg or get af and we'll know you ov, or neither and you didn't but it is so FRUSTRATING!!!!!! Wish someone could just tell me "you'll be pg in 2 months" then I'd be happy! Hmmm perhaps I should start consulting psychicsGrin

He will have no option! I was the same as we bd'd when I had ewcm so was convinced I'd be pg, but the worst bit was not even getting af! We'll get there in the end!

Did one way too early yesterday - BFN obviously. Thankfully i have a job lot of cheap ebay tests! Will try and leave it at least another week I think. Am trying very hard to forget about it as I keep convincing myself i must be because we bd during ferns. Which is very silly! I never thought no af could be so infuriating - can't even be 'late'!
Hows things with you bobblehead - is your dp/h up for lotd of bd at the weekend if you get ferns?!?! :o
