trace2....so sorry hun.
It is hard but we will all get thru this together. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Janus and Rubles. I really hope things are going to sort themselves out for you. Though I am not trying at the mo I have this underlying fear too. What if when all procedures are completed conception isn't so easy for me. It is a worry. AF is here at the mo and boy is it hurting. Tummy cramps are here with a vengence. I never used to suffer like this.
Never mind, hopefully it'll only be around for a couple of more days.

rubles · 20/07/2006 08:08

Janus - are you me? I have been going through the same self-questioning about my fertility & I have my appointment tomorrow with the doctor. I really don't have any answers to your questions about what to ask - I was just going to go along and tell my story and hope that they offer blood tests for me and sperm tests for dp as a starter. Maybe it would be better to start a separate thread for this on the conception board as there will be lots of people who have gone through this who might know what to expect & ask?

Trace, I'm fine thanks. My attitude is strange at the moment regarding ttc - I think I've given up - I can't imagine it ever happening.

I have been putting other life decisions on hold for the past year because I wanted to have a baby first, but now I think that I might as well get on with making other changes or I a may be in limbo land forever.

Janus · 19/07/2006 16:24

So sorry trace to hear your news, it will hurt however far along you are, it is heartbreaking, so I am so sorry.
Could I ask some advice? Yet again I've had a BFN this month despite having sex at the right time, etc. I'm now thinking something may be wrong. I had a miscarriage in October, had an ERPC and then a few days later got an infection which floored me. Took my body a few months to get back to normal, AF wise. I'm now wondering if the infection could have caused some problems, would this make sense?
I'm 36 and have been trying for 6 or 7 months so made an appointment with the doctor for next week to discuss but would greatly value anyone elses thoughts as to points I could raise. (BTW, I've had 3 pregnancies, the last 2 I fell the first month, which is why I'm so puzzled as to why it isn't happening this time and think there is some underlying cause.)

Coriander73 · 19/07/2006 12:40

Sorry to hijack this thread but I just wanted to reiterate that we're all thining of you Trace....so sorry darlin' Hugs & kisses.

trace2 · 19/07/2006 10:21

hi rubles, not stopped yet but slowimg down, how are you?

rubles · 19/07/2006 10:16

Hi Trace ((((hugs)))). I'm so sorry you are back on these bloody ttc boards again. It's such a crushing disappointment isn't it, when you have wanted it so badly for so long.

How are you doing physically? Have you stopped bleeding now?

trace2 · 19/07/2006 09:46

hi everyone, can i please join in, i lost last week, was only 4 weeks, but it still hurts like hell.

rubles · 19/07/2006 09:40

Nicola - how you doing??

My AF was a weird one. It hinted at starting on Monday, had me all depressed, then nothing. Then yesterday lunchtime when there was still no sign, I started to get excited as it was getting much later than normal. I had a solitary spot in the afternoon, which confused me as nothing more happened for the rest of the night. I woke up this morning and still nothing so officially a day late (according to my calculations), and even more confused. I did a test and got a resounding BFN, (which I wasn't surprised at, I just wanted to know what was going on).
It waited an hour leaving me dangling and then started properly before leaving for work. I actually felt relieved, strangely.

I have just rung the doctor for an appointment on Friday to get some blood/sperm tests sorted if possible, although I'm a bit nervous about that.

oinker · 17/07/2006 17:04

What a day........OMG it is soooooooooooooo hot. I have just got home after the journey from hell on the London underground and mainline trains.....
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... I hate working in London.

I have just found out that the rail signalling centres are on strike from 1200 Friday thru to 1200 Saturday. Great!!!!! How are we supposed to get home.

Anyway, how is everyone?

Fingerscrossed for some BFP's.....

Nicola, I hope you get some good news on Friday. I just had a look at my diary and my longest wait for 2nd A/F after m/c was 41days. I'm waiting on A/F now. Good luck.

Rubles....... Mums heh!!! Mine is the same. She has no idea about what I am going thru. I haven't told her as she was so upset after my first m/c. She makes the odd sly comment though. It's all along the same line as what your mum says.

rubles · 17/07/2006 14:39

I'm alright apart from the fact that AF is almost certainly on course for arrival tomorrow so I am back to square one. Ho hum. I think I shall make an appointment with the doctor for further tests as soon as AF has definately arrived.

My mum made a bit of a corker of a comment yesterday at my nephew's christening. She said that now dp has had a raise I could think about having another baby because 'after all you're not getting any younger and your biological clock is ticking away. So you'd better do it before it ticks it's way over the edge'. Don't beat around the bush mum!

But it's beautiful weather out and dp has just come and met me for lunch and we have had a lovely lunchtime talking about anything but AF, so that was nice.

Nicola63 · 17/07/2006 13:17

Hi rubles, well that is a bit hopeful, but we'll see. My first pregnancy (which was in fact twins, although I m/c later) I got a bfp on CD31. My second I got the bfp on the day AF was due, which was CD28. So I can't imagine it would happen so late this time. Well, will see the (very nice) doctor on Friday and hope to find out what's going on. How are you doing?

rubles · 17/07/2006 13:08

I am still around yes, watching out for you Nicola.
I don't know what to say to your situation, it is odd. I was really hoping you'd be posting with a BFP this morning - as I'm sure you were too.
On a positive note, I have heard of women not getting +ve results until nearly 3 weeks after AF due, so there is hope. Presumably the obstetrician will do blood tests for you on Friday and will come up with some answers.

Rachee - welcome - I read about your m/c on another thread. I'm so sorry.

Mips - glad dh came round, you must be feeling hugely relieved.

Nicola63 · 17/07/2006 12:47

Rachee I would not advise you to swim at the moment. I was not given very good advice after my 1st m/c (happened in another country) and used a tampon (and had sex) from the day afterwards, which in hindsight was not a good idea. No-one mentioned that I should not at the time, and it was my wedding three days after the m/c so I did not really think about it. I ended up with intrauterine scarring, which I believe could have been from infection at that time.

On another track, I now have made an appt with the obstetrician for Friday. No AF, have not tested today as have run out of preg tests but am getting fed up and it seems unlikely it would suddenly become positive on CD37. Trying not to stress. What a lovely day today!

rubles are you still around?

cece · 17/07/2006 12:34

Rachee, no I don't think you can swim as I was told not to bath only shower for 3 weeks. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Mips,
not mentioning it will be fine as I have plenty of practise! I have already told him I want to do the bobsleigh (the one where you lie on your tummy on a tin tray thing) in the next winter olympics!

Rachee · 17/07/2006 10:15

just had d & c yesterday to remove incomplete m/c. i feel really normal, no pains or side effcts. now i am just gutted we have to wait for a month for a full cycle to start again...... it's going to go so slowly.... so might have to gym and excersise my way through the month. Can i go swimming yet ???

xXx

Mips · 17/07/2006 09:39

Cece...just about forgot...My next option if DH had still said no was to start looking into adopting a baby from abroad (worked for a friend), or thinking about getting a horse (not that I would actually do this)or take up some dangerous sport (wouldn't do either).
I had hoped they might frighten him into saying yes.
love Mips xxx

Mips · 17/07/2006 09:35

Hi Cece,
I have a 3 year old son. I didn't want him to be an only child, hence why i was desperate on another. We have just moved last year and have 4 bedrooms, so DH can't use that as an excuse!
Lots of kids share tell your DH.
Best thing for me was not to mention it (hard as it may be)during the period of time I had given him to think about it.
Good luck, as I know how you must be feeling. It is hard. Please keep me posted on your progress.
Love Mips xxx

cece · 16/07/2006 17:59

Mips

Thanks for the tips. I will try but am I right in thinking you don't have any kids at the moment? I have two already and DH thinks that is enough - his reason for no more is that they would have to share a bedroom - in a 3 bedroom house! To me that isn't even an issue!

Nicola63 · 16/07/2006 15:27

Back from a super weekend at the beach in Brighton (spur of the moment decision on Friday afternoon), but still no AF and tests still bfn, so I will be phoning obstetrician tomorrow. I am trying to relax about this but its making me panicky that something is badly wrong (also making me pig out, I have put on 3kg in the last 3 days!, yuk)

Mips · 15/07/2006 23:40

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your kind wishes.
Ruth...I have normally a 25/26 day cycle and i have been using ov sticks this cycle. I got a positive on day 12 and 13, so b'ded since Friday (day 12). Hopefully will catch that egg!!
Cece...I had a serious word with him regards his depression after speaking to our GP and HV. Let him know how it affected me. I also let him know how much I was supporting him. I then reiterated the baby issue, telling him how much it meant to me and my reasons. He said to give him a month to think about it. That was last week as you know. I never mentioned it at all in that time, and just got on with life being jolly and keeping busy. I think the fact I never mentioned it, meant he did have time to think about it. I also think he perhaps felt upset about the mc (7 weeks ago) without really letting me know.
Someone suggested to me writing to him, telling him all teh positives for having a baby. I told DH that it was my dream to be a good mother and bring up a family and that if he could support me with my dream, I would support him with his. I also said that I didn't want to live with regret and that if he said no, i don't know how i would feel (kinda making him feel guilty!).
Whatever it was, it worked.
Good luck and I know how stubborn my DH is, so sending you lots of hope and love,
Mips xxx

cece · 15/07/2006 11:14

MIPS that is great news??

What did you say?? to change his mind?

ruthlouise · 14/07/2006 19:32

Excellent news Mips
you mentioned having slightly shorter cycles. I had a couple of shorter ones after m/c too and got caught out when I think I OV'd earlier than expected - didn't start using test sticks til day 11 and never got proper positive so as Oinker said - 'Get BDing' - you don't want to miss it
I had positive stick yesterday and OV pains today which is day 13 - typical when I've been using the sticks since day 6! But very pleased as hopefully that means cycles have settled and reassuring as I've only ever twice been aware of OV pain. don't know what our chances are this month as dh sat working with his laptop on his lap late Wednesday night - reckon he's fried the poor little swimmers 'cos I realised it gets really hot when he came to bed!!!

Have a good weekend ladies, take care of yourselves, love Ruth

Mips that is so nice, very glad for you! I'm just trying to forget about everything, have a nice weekend and will arrange to go and see doctor on Monday. Obviously my hormones are majorly out of whack or something.

It looks like being a lovely weekend here in London, enjoy it everyone.

Smole · 14/07/2006 09:33

Morning ladies.

Ruthlouise - AF was in two halves!

My back is also better!

Fingers crossed for you Nicola.
