No I haven't been checked at all, but bust had returned to normal (had 2 whole weeks when it didn't hurt!!!!!) and now it's started again. I thought once they'd cleared it all out there was nothing to influence the hgc levels?

ruthlouise · 26/03/2006 21:42

hi,
I have a bit of a personal question... Hope its not TMI but whats the chance of infection after a m/c? Should you wait until all loss has completely stopped b4 BD'ing

Piffle · 26/03/2006 20:32

oinker what lovely news petal, fingers crossed this time :)

rubles · 26/03/2006 18:59

Evenhope,

I am afraid I don't know what the answer is, but I did wonder the same as Ruthlouise when I read your post as I had hcg in my system for 3-ish weeks after I lost the egg sac and my miscarriage was deemed complete.

Have you had your hcg tested to < 5 by blood or had a negative pg test since the loss? If not then try to be cautious as it can take a while to drop completely it seems.

Those who have had ERPC do you date the next AF from the op or the loss? After my first missed m/c I had the loss and the op on the same day and AF arrived exactly 4 weeks later. With this second one I had the loss on the Saturday and didn't have the op until the next Thursday.

I've had really sore itchy nipples, painful breasts, veins, the lot since Friday which is 3 weeks after I lost the sac (sorry if tmi) but only 2 weeks after the ERPC. I don't know if I'm adding 2+2 to make 17 but I caught a glimpse of the veiny and definitely enlarged boobs and thought 'you look pregnant'. Is it possible? Do I get to wait one week or two before finding out?

Hi again
I've just re-read part of the thread and realised I am repeating myself and all over the place. I'm sorry, not doing as well as I'd like to be. My friend came round, she's 7 months pregnant which is hard - I'm pleased for her but reminded me I'm not Sad.

Piffle - thanks for answering the OV microscope question - I shall order one of those which you have as 60x magnification appears good.

Oinker - sorry, just realised u might be testing tomorrow - good luck for a christmas bundle of joy

oinker · 25/03/2006 09:30

Urmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Nothing!!!! Why? Wink

rubles · 25/03/2006 09:09

Oinker, what are you saying....?!

weewilliewinkie · 25/03/2006 09:09

Morning!

Hope you are all well today....

RL, my midwife told me just to do whatever felt right for me, whether that was to wait 3 months or start ttc straight away. She also said it's perfectly normal to want to be pregant again as soon as possible. Just try not to put any pressure on yourself, don't set yourself targets...it will all happen when it's meant to.

Oinker - what a lovely image - your windy pops! Grin try drinking peppermint tea - it helps me!

Rubles - hello fellow Aries - my birthday is the 5th! We are going away for a few days with my best friend, her dh and their dog - can't wait!

ruthlouise · 25/03/2006 08:37

good moring everyone

Hi Rubles - I'm around a lot at the mo as I'm off work still. A bit obsessed with checking forums to see if people have replied but it keeps my mind busy! Also think I'm a bit unrealistic thinking about ttc when Isaac only died last Friday.

I worry that if its true that you are more fertile straight after m/c that I might 'miss the boat'.
I don't think I could wait 3 months but we do have to go back to consultant for debriefing re late m/c and blood test results which were couriered to London - don't think that will show anything though - chance of another sub-amniotic bleed is prob 1 in a million, its so rare.

I think I'd like to get one of those OV microscopes but don't know which one - are they all the same? magnification etc? Which would people recommend?

I have a friend coming round this am and dh is here for the weekend too and we have to buy a new carpet (life goes on!) so that will keep me busy.

oinker · 25/03/2006 08:36

Good morning girlies.........

I still feel icky this morning..... Terrible windy evening Wink Shock I couldn't stop... Wink

rubles · 25/03/2006 08:21

Good morning all, I don't suppose many people will be around.

FirstNikki - I am really well thanks. On CD21 I think and managing not to obsess. Luckily work has been really busy and I have my birthday next Saturday so have been making plans for that and sorting my outfit out.

Ruthlouise what do you think you are going to do? If you do decide to wait 3 months you could use the ovulation microscope/temping etc in the meantime to get to know the signs and know what your body is doing when the pressure isn't on, so to speak. Or are you going to ignore her advice?..

Oinker, are you testing tomorrow? Fingers crossed for you.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

ruthlouise · 24/03/2006 17:32

Thanks for your responses. Think I'll give the Agnus castus a miss - could cause more trouble than its worth if it messes your hormones up. the GLA is gamma linoleic acid - the part of EPO that helps cervical mucus apparently.

An OV microscope thing sounds good

www - at the moment, i think I am a bit obsessed with the thought of ttc. Its all thats keeping me going. Midwife saw me today and said i should wait 3 months Sad

must be getting back to normal though 'cos I've been doing housework all day - its only had a lick and a promise for past 7 weeks! mind u, dh did his best whilst I was on bedrest and was a real hero taking on the household chores.

FirstNikki · 24/03/2006 15:02

I have checked another website re angus cactus and got the details of the product itself it clearly states NOT to take whilst PG. However it "stimulates the pituitary gland to produce leutenizing hormone, which leads to greater production of progesterone during the second half of a woman's cycle" So I would hazzard purely a guess that whilst its good for before pg its not once conceived so from maybe not to take from ov day onwards. I really would therefore seek a professionals advice for when and not to take (personal thought).

FirstNikki · 24/03/2006 14:39

Ok found the thread where they are talking about angus cactus its around the 23 March 2006 date they are discussing it. I think it would be best to consult a herbalist for advice I have tried to look online and my searching skills are rubbish and I haven't come up with anything.
