Haven't been on the thread for a few days and so much has been happening.
time4tea CONGRATULATIONS!!
oh rubles, so sorry (((hugs))) to you.
Welcome Rachee, Wannabump and Tari79 (and anyone I've managed to miss) - it's terrific here - I had mc 3 weeks ago and have found this site, and this thread in particular, a big support. Really positive. Good luck to you with ttc.
Tuesday was a really emotional day for me - got a positive ov test which gave me the first bit of hope since the mc. Then in aftenoon dh and me went to see fantastic mc counsellor at the epu and she told us the hospital has a cremation service each month for all the mcs, which shocked me a bit as I had no idea. It is next Thursday morning - dh wants to go, but I feel a bit funny about it. In the meantime there's been much bd, tho I'm not mega optimistic as I've not had AF yet.
So this is the two week wait, is it? Good luck to all of us. xx

time4tea - yippeee!!!!

congratulations! Absolutely delighted for you.

rubles - how are you hun? I've been thinking about you all morning, it's weird to think so much about a 'virtual' friend I haven't even met! But I want you to know that you are in my thoughts. Hope you're doing ok. I'm so sorry you're going through this. Did you get to the doc's yet?

Smole · 22/06/2006 09:45

Congratulations time4tea

oinker · 22/06/2006 07:23

Time4tea.....

I knew it!!!

FANTASTIC NEWS BRILLIANT OMG this is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo great.

That's 3 in 1 week...... GREAT...

ruthlouise · 21/06/2006 20:54

Rubles - I am so sorry to hear your news You are in my thoughts.

Welcome to the thread Rachee but sorry you find yourself here. Let's hope you get another BFP soon...something we all hope for and which makes this thread so supportive and special.

Time4tea - Wahoo! Big congratulations

Tari79 - I've been wondering about luteal phases too. Last month I OV'd on 3rd May, spotted on 11th and had full AF on 14th so decided I probably had a luteal phase defect which maybe was a bit premature as it was only my first AF since my late M/C and being that bit further on in PG I should have expected it might take some time to get back to normal. My next cycle was OV on 25th or 26th May and AF on 9th June so that was 14 days luteal phase. This time I think I've either had anovulatory cycle or OV'd very early on cycle day 9 or 10 so am expecting a very short cycle of up to 24 days. Anyway I'm 'rabbiting' on but shows it can take time for cycles to settle after M/C. The research I did online says luteal phase can be anything between 10-14 days and its only when its less than 10 days that you need to worry as that would mean the lining was breaking down before the egg had time to implant. Hope that helps. X
If anyone else knows different. Please post. Thanks

DebbsyandBibby · 21/06/2006 18:39

congratulations time4tea best of luck for a smooth pregnancy

Tari79 · 21/06/2006 18:13

Congratulations time4tea! Hopefully your good luck will rub off!

time4tea · 21/06/2006 17:08

Rubles, just checked the other thread. I'm really sorry.

I did test after all, as still no AF, and it was a real BFP. And you are all the first to know thanks for all the support, especially getting me to do it...! it feels strange, especially as I am so aware that even no news is good news (I had a silent miscarriage which only showed up at the 12 week scan) I'll go for an early scan, but really feel ready to take one day at a time.

but given that the baby I mc earlier this year was nearly a year in coming, to conceive first cycle after the ERPC seems like a good sign just in itself.

thanks again ladies - despite the sad things that have happened to us, this thread has really made me realise how compassionate and wonderful the human spirit is - it really is one of the things that makes life living.

OK, it really is time for tea - must make dinner for DS..

oinker · 21/06/2006 16:33

time4tea...

Did you do it?
Spooky you being in Kew.... I am just going there now...

Nicola63 · 21/06/2006 16:18

Hi Rachee,

I was advised after my last m/c to wait a little while before bding, because of the cervix being a bit open and the possibility of infection. I was not given this advice after my first m/c unfortunately and have later discovered I have uterine scarring following the d and c I had at that time. I wonder if this is possibly a result of starting to bd too soon afterwards. (The m/c happened a couple of days before our wedding and we waited only a day to start bding again, (sorry if tmi)).

So, if I were you, I would wait a week or two...

Tari79 · 21/06/2006 15:53

Hi everyone . . . well, first sign of AF this morning. Very , very faint traces of spotting about 1/2 an hour ago, so I'm sure that means AF is rearing her ugly head. I'm disappointed, of course, but I guess there's always next month. This was our 4th month trying, so I know that I shouldn't be too upset. However, it's kind of hard not to be! I'll keep everyone posted . . . and my heart goes out to all who have experienced a loss. Remember, hope and happy thoughts mean a lot!

Smole · 21/06/2006 12:56

Sorry to see you here Rachee but welcome

Group hug for Rubles

DebbsyandBibby · 21/06/2006 12:25

sorry Rachee

Angsthase · 21/06/2006 12:16

Tari, Wannabump and Rachee - sorry to you all for having to join our thread but welcome. There are lots of sound ladies on here offering lots of support

Rachee - you can start BDing as soon as the bleeding has stopped. EPU's normally advise to await your first AF before starting to ttc again, but that's generally just for dating.

How are you feeling emotionally? That's often the best way of deciding when to start.

Piffle · 21/06/2006 11:26

Could we all do a big love for Rubles too - she has posted a chemical pregnancy thread

Rachee · 21/06/2006 11:24

just had miscarriage this morning, it this day one of my cycle now, when can i start trying again...... ( was 5 weeks, so not far, had had cramps all weekend so knew it was coming, was my first ever BFP !!! )

Smole · 21/06/2006 09:12

Welcome Tari and Wannabump. Hope your stay is a short one

DebbsyandBibby · 21/06/2006 08:45

good luck time4tea x

time4tea · 21/06/2006 08:38

still no sign of AF - I have an outing with DS and friends today, and a stopover tonight with BF (probably) but will probably end up testing in the Ladies at Kew Gardens this might make logging on difficult. but I will do my best to share news

have a good day, everyone, and thanks so much for all the thoughts. you good ladies really do understand - I said to my DH last night, still no sign of the period, and he said, but you know you're not pregnant, because of the test... and you are all still cheering on the touchline... anyway, let's see. thanks again

weewilliewinkie · 21/06/2006 06:43

Well, time4tea - any news yet? Hopefully oinker's shouts of "DO IT"! will be as lucky for you as they were for rubles and me! I noticed that oinker's encouragement seemed to be a good omen too, ruthlouise - oinker, you are the official ttc fairy godmother!

also, welcome wannabump and tari79 - you've found the nicest thread on MN! You'll get nothing but support and warmth here. Feel free to chat, laugh, cry, rant and rave. We're all in the same boat so everyone knows exactly how you're feeling and what you're going through. Good luck!

Tari79 · 21/06/2006 01:51

Oh, and by the way -- best of luck, to time4tea with tomorrow's test!!! Lots of "happy" baby thoughts heading your way!

Tari79 · 21/06/2006 01:47

Thanks so much for the very warm welcome also! It's so nice to have people to talk to who really know what you're going through! (My husband, who is actually very supportive, keeps telling me to "stop worrying" and I keep telling him that it's easier said than done!) Anyway, I actually have a question does anyone know anything about luteal phases? I've been tracking my ovulation dates/AF dates for the past 4 months that we have been ttc, and I found that I usually only have 10-12 days from the time I ovulate until the time I get my period. I thought it was supposed to be 14 days is this a problem???? Thanks for the info!!!

time4tea · 20/06/2006 22:15

thanks Oinker! Grin

if no AF tomorrow, will get a test and go for it. If BFN, I'll still be cheering from the sidelines Oinker-style!

wannabump2006 · 20/06/2006 22:12

thanks so much for welcoming me!!:) its made me feel so much better!!....congratulations to all that have become pregnant!!Thats fantastic news!Lots and lots of luck for the rest of us now to join the queue of lovely preggers ladies!!!:):):)
(I can't wait to start B'ding next week!!its pretty exciting huh!?).x

ruthlouise · 20/06/2006 22:08

Big welcome to you wannabump2006 and Tari79. As always we all hope your stays will be short here Wink
