Hi ladies,

For those of us out of the July game there are not many places to hide so I thought I'd start a new August thread to give us all some positive vibes!

Cycle 3 - BFP August 6th

The due date calculator is for baby born due date not AF. So not sure what I used but whatever it was, it was right, it would seem I can't count any more! Having checked again, my BFP date is indeed August 3rd.

I planned to test this morning. I'm down on the list as August 5th but the mumsnet due date calculator reckons 3rd August. It's possible I can't count any more I guess?! (I've not double checked either. Hmm, maybe I'll do that now).

Anyway we're away at a festival from Thursday so i planned to test this morning. Got up this morning absolutely bursting for a pee, literally ran to the toilet and then thought damn, I forgot!!

It needs to be the first pee of the day if you're testing early doesn't it?

threeleftfeet · 31/07/2012 08:42

Muumimamma2, wow, congratulations! Grin

(A faint line, is a line, right?!)

Muumimamma2 · 31/07/2012 08:23

Hi everyone, I've been really busy moving house and then couldn't find the July thread anymore... anyway, it looks like I may be pregnant! I did a really early test last week (one of those First Response ones) and got a faint line, haven't had time to do another one yet to make sure though. Have also been working my but off sorting out our loft with my dad, I'm sure I should be resting more but just seem unable to find the time right now :( But anyway, I'll try and do another test soon and hopefully it's good news!

NicolaHazel · 31/07/2012 06:32

I DTD too...tail end of OV for me though, so not sure how much benefit it will have been. But it was also make up sex, so we needed it anyway!

I am one of the unlucky 20% who have pain during OV, so I'm glad it's done with for a few weeks (hopefully longer!).

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 23:34

DTD done here too!! Supplements taken. We started with rump pumpy on wed, Fri, sun and today.

So that is cd6, 8, 10, 11

Started using up my opks yesterday sowill see if i get a positive this cycle

winkle2 · 30/07/2012 23:12

Dtd #1 done! Currently winkling!

SunshineOutdoors · 30/07/2012 19:33

woody just want to send you virtual support again. Go to the doctors and give yourself some treats. It's very early days but I can feel how frustrating it must be for you.

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 19:04

Yeh I think that's normal. We become so keen to protect the baby

How long have you been TTCing for?

woody17 · 30/07/2012 19:02

Thanks kick A few big changes have happened in my life in the last couple of weeks so I will have a much less stressful job and a much much much much better work/life balance.

Thanks dexi I am going to phone dr tomorrow. I've had a bit of brown discharge again tonight and just want to know what's going on.

As for alcohol, I didn't exactly go off it but as soon as I knew I was pg, I felt so protective that I just didn't want to drink any.

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 18:59

Sunshine - thanks :)

Yeh we're TTC again. Not sure if I should be but fairly certain I am ok :)

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 18:58

Dexidoo - I went off booze for nearly 3 months

If it's any consolation, it's mainly because I suddenly contracted Type 1 Diabetes and nearly died so there isn't really any "symptom" that is unique to pregnancy.

Don't listen to those things. Your body will react in whatever way it chooses to react and you can't compare to anyone else.

SunshineOutdoors · 30/07/2012 18:56

kick it's nice to see you back. Can't remember if I was lurking or posting on the June thread when you were about. Are you back ttc again?

Dexidoo · 30/07/2012 18:53

Hi all

woody I would definitely push for a HCG blood test. Unless you get one done it is impossible to see if it is going up or down. At the moment you must feel like you're in limbo, horrible.

I have convinced myself that most likely AF is on her way. I've had a shit day at work and necked a glass of Chardonnay and enjoyed every drop- more than one friend has told me that they completely went off booze as soon as they were upduffed...

Good news on the signs of ovulation kick I hope that you have 'got to work' !! Wink

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 18:41

Yeh we did that too :(

But then a whole host of other shit cropped up and we're back there again.

But try let your body heal. I don't mean don't TTC, but give it some supplements and be kind. Stress is just as rubbish

woody17 · 30/07/2012 18:19

I think that is most likely. I think part of my way of trying to deal with mc was to focus on getting pg again asap.

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 16:26

Yeh here's hoping although it could just be the HCG in your system.

Sorry :(

woody17 · 30/07/2012 14:32

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'm going to leave it a few days and test again and if it is still positive then I'll go to GP. I think that it is most likely to still be hormones from previous pg but I'm making/wishing it into more. It helps having somewhere like this.

jessiethecowgirl · 30/07/2012 14:28

Woody I have found the dates thing on the CB digis very unreliable. Last pregnancy, I did 2 within 10 minutes and they gave me different weeks. As I mentioned on the other thread, it sounds as if you're just on the tail end of getting rid of all the hormones from mc, and if you just wait a few more days or a week I'm sure it will go negative. But if you are concerned definitely contact GP.

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 13:09

Or as kitty says, maybe it's left over HCG??

I would get a blood test, mate. I really would

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 13:08

The only thing I can think of is that they cocked up and missed something?

I have no idea what to tell you. Unless you literally fell pregnant a day or two after MC?? Then the dates would add up.

kittykatsforever · 30/07/2012 13:06

I think there's too much uncertainty now for us to know and you could a) wait say 3/4 days and try again or b) go to the doctors abd ask for advice
I wouldnt like to say its new and get your hopes up, it did take my test 2 weeks before it went to neg and I have heard that the indicator part on the digi isn't that reliable at all.... That said it going up is very strange when was the last time you did one, if it was say last night then this morning that might account for discrepancy but say a week would be strange for it to go up
I did wait till I got a neg test before dtd for this reason but I guess there is a possibility you ovd very early

woody17 · 30/07/2012 13:04

I had several internal scans. Had bleeding etc and then final scan showed that everything had gone. Kick you come across as being sensible/knowledgeable - my dates don't add up to me being pg again, do they?

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 12:53

How do you know it was an MC?

I would go to the doctors. They can pick up HCG and whether it will be sticky or not.

woody17 · 30/07/2012 12:51

It's been about 2 weeks since mc but not been quite 2 weeks since we started dtd - so I just don't think the dates add up if that makes sense. It's probably my own fault as I don't always test at the same time of day. I think I'll go and see GP as I'd like them to monitor my HGC levels (if they will).
