Hi ladies,

For those of us out of the July game there are not many places to hide so I thought I'd start a new August thread to give us all some positive vibes!

Cycle 3 - BFP August 6th

Congrats auf, fab news! This was the first month we used opk sticks too and dtd over 7 day window, more effort than we normally put it I must admit Blush

threeleftfeet · 01/08/2012 18:12

Oops also IBelieveInPink your name appears randomly half way through the post, sorry, not sure what happened there! Confused

threeleftfeet · 01/08/2012 18:11

Oops I meant +ve, don't know what +ver is!!

threeleftfeet · 01/08/2012 18:10

Thanks everyone Grin
It's just starting to sink in a bit!
Sending lucky BFP vibes to all of you :)

We've been trying for ages, the only thing that's really changed this month is the sticks, and this thread of course!

IBelieveInPink

berri we were DTD approximately EOD in the week before I thought I would OV, although (i can't remember exactly sorry) it might have turnd out to be been 3 nights in a row before OV. I had an idea when I thought I was going to OV - although the sticks showed me it was actually it was earlier then I expected. We then DTD every day for 5 days (bar one when life got in the way) after getting positive OV from POAS. Then we calmed down a bit!

That's definitely the most, at the right time of the month that we've managed since starting TTC. But that was party down to the sticks. The nearly every day in the run up to OV was just a (nice) blip, rather than something planned. I think if I hadn't been POASing we might not have continued the effort over the next few days, but knowing that it was the right time made a big difference.

IBelieveInPink I didn't find POASing as stressful at all (although I thought it might be) but then again I actually only POASed twice! Got an OV +ver earlier than I expected, and it probably helped as we might not have bothered those days.

winkle2 · 01/08/2012 18:01

Congrats auf on positive test!

resipsa · 01/08/2012 16:55

Auf congrats on the first of the month. Great start. Lucky, lucky you!

Chimp test buds again!

miarosemum · 01/08/2012 16:39

Well poas again today using fmu and another line (stronger than yesterday) but still not due af for another 3 days and convinced af will arrive, can't stop thinking negative, please send positive vibes my way! Too good to be true, we did use opk sticks this time and dtd every other day more than any other month so fx

frustratedpants · 01/08/2012 16:37

Yay for Auf Grin

Chimpette · 01/08/2012 16:29

Congrats Auf, that's wonderful news!

Having been all upset yesterday because I though we'd missed out on DTD at OV, I've now got EWCM and a positive OPK today. Poor DH hasn't had a day off work in weeks and is knackered though; might not be a recipe for success tonight Hmm

Anyway, I'm feeling optimistic and am adding myself to the list.

Fingers crossed for some lovely August BFPs!

Sheep2345 · 01/08/2012 16:01

Newbie you do still ovulate and have a normal bleed - it's non-hormonal so does not affect cycles and fertility resumes on removal.

Oh and congrats auf our 1st BFP of the month - lets hope it continues Grin

Dexidoo · 01/08/2012 15:33

sunshine I'm pushing my testing day back until Saturday- hoping that spotting is not the start of AF but the sign of something more hopeful but we will see ..

SunshineOutdoors · 01/08/2012 14:27

Any news from dexi or anyone else early on the list?

berri · 01/08/2012 14:19

Congratulations Auf, so exciting!

I have ZERO patience for this too, I don't even OV for another 5 or 6 days and I can't stop wondering what will happen, how on earth can you 'just not think about it', which is the advice everyone gives for success!

By the way, do you tend to dtd eod even when ov? Or every day over then?

IBelieveInPink · 01/08/2012 14:03

Congrats Auf how exciting!

I'm so tempted to try the sticks now, although we had said we would just go with a relaxed approach for the first few months. I can see my lack of patience is going to be no good for this game!

NicolaHazel · 01/08/2012 14:02

Congrats Auf! :-)

Yay congratulations Auf Great way to start August!

OP posts:
threeleftfeet · 01/08/2012 11:22

My friend just gave me an early response test. Nothing faint about that line! Definitely BFP! Grin

Really happy now, DP too :)

Newbie2 · 01/08/2012 11:19

Sheep thanks for that. Helpful to know! Do you still ovulate on the coil then?

OP posts:
Sheep2345 · 01/08/2012 10:13

newbie2 having the coil taken out is a brezze, over in minutes Smile
Having it put in was not terrbile but not the nicest experience. I seem to be a bit crooked internally as the doctor kindly commented three times that she couldn't find my cervix!
I would recoomend it though as its 5 years of not thinking about taking a pill or worrying a condom has split! The only thing it, it may make AF slightly heavier which is not good if you are already heavy!

threeleftfeet · 01/08/2012 10:08

Thanks WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid and SunshineOutdoors :)

SunshineOutdoors that crossed my mind too Grin

Seriously though, doing the sticks really helped I think. After 5 cycles I was starting to get worried that there was something wrong. But with the sticks it meant we definitely got the right time, knowing when tonight was actually the night was very helpful! Think we were perhaps a bit too relaxed about it before.

I really want to tell DS! But I guess it's not fair until we get through the early bit, is it?

Wishing all of you lots of luck and BFPs this month!

SunshineOutdoors · 01/08/2012 09:32

Wow auf your name must have bought you luck! Congratulations!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 01/08/2012 09:20

Auf it is all sounding good. Congratulations.

Brand new month ready for a fresh set of BFPs.

threeleftfeet · 01/08/2012 08:49

Thanks! Fingers crossed for you too winkle :)
