Hi ladies,

For those of us out of the July game there are not many places to hide so I thought I'd start a new August thread to give us all some positive vibes!

Cycle 3 - BFP August 6th

Hi worried and tink

Don't really know what to say to help tink.... our bodies can react to a lot of stress. Do you have anyone for real life support? Feel free to off load here, I can't imagine how difficult your loss must be.

Dexi I'm sorry af got you.... but still on for august, it could still be your month. A bit of time out, enjoy some Wine then get back on him it

Dexidoo · 02/08/2012 13:29

buggerbollocksshitwank back to CD1 here.

Still in it for a late August BFP

Congratulations to the lucky ones, I'll be off to stock up on wine & chocolate

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 02/08/2012 11:25

resipsa I think you are right. Will get my head down and ttc. Was v stressed last night - if stress affects ttc there is no way this is my month - it has been horrendous.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 02/08/2012 11:13

Oh tink you have been through some horrible things recently. I am normally very regular but I do remember missing one period (years and years ago). Pregnancy was defiantly not on the cards, it was a one off v stressful event that cause the missed period.

You have been through so much it really could be stress.

winkle2 · 02/08/2012 09:29

Welcome worried and tink.

Really sorry to hear what you've been through tink. It could've affected AF I really don't know x

tinkfairy · 02/08/2012 09:22

hi im new but have a problem i have regular 27 day cycle but in now late and tests are negative and no sign of af. i have never been late always on time or early but im thinkg when i lost my dc2at 9 months i didnt find out till af was a week late maybe this time it will be the same. im not stressed but have been sad as family friend was killed in hit and run maybe you have seen it on the news. and last night i got told another family friend who was married in to the family died too, but still nothing effects my cycle and info you ladies can give would help thanks.

resipsa · 02/08/2012 09:16

Stick with it if you can only because the prospect of starting somewhere new and finding out you're pregnant within 2 weeks (as I did) is seriously stressful! Felt like a stupid 18 year old (not the haggard 39 year old I was).

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 02/08/2012 08:52

worried hi I am in the same boat as you and resipsa (she is my secret twin). Dd is 18 months old. I have been trying to be more relaxed this time round. Started out quite well but I am decidedly stressed right now.

Work isn't helping, we have all had a stupid number of objectives landed on us all. I don't really know what to do, stop ttc and get a different job or keep going for a baby and stick with the shit job.

resipsa · 02/08/2012 07:40

Hi Worried. I know what you mean about the memory of m/c lurking in the background but you know you can carry to term so all should be OK. Like you, my plan was to be more relaxed 2nd time round (DD is 18 months) but the plan seems to have gone haywire!

worriedmum100 · 02/08/2012 07:29

Hello ladies

Could I join please? Have had a little lurk and you're all so lovely and supportive. I'm ttc dc2. Ds1 is 15mnths. This is our first proper cycle of trying. Af due around 11th. Last time I did all the temping and charting and peed on many sticks. Was hoping to be a bit more relaxed this time round but am already reaching for the thermometer....had almost forgotten how hard it can feel with the waiting. Had early mc before conceived ds1 so think that is at the back of my mind too.

So anyway would love to join if you'll have me! Sending you all lots of luck and Congrats to those with bfps already!

resipsa · 02/08/2012 07:28

PS Lime 1st cycle? Soooo Envy!

resipsa · 02/08/2012 07:27

Lime Miaroses (love those names, btw) - congrats! Beginning to think there's something in the theory that the early testers get all the luck; must try to adjust cycle accordingly Grin.

NicolaHazel · 01/08/2012 23:25

Congrats...3 BFPs and only 1st August.

Fx it continues!

winkle2 · 01/08/2012 23:23

Well done lime!

We dtd on Monday do we should've dtd tonight but we have a friend staying over so we're going to have to dtd tomorrow instead and then eod from then. That's still every 2-3 days. So fingers crossed!

threeleftfeet · 01/08/2012 23:05

Congratulations miarosesmum too! Grin Grin

This is officially a lucky thread!

limesoakedmadeleine · 01/08/2012 22:59

Thanks so much everyone. Grinning much now!

And yes, congratulations to miarosesmum!

Yes Auf, first baby, first cycle. We only decided to go for it at the beginning of June, so I thought I'd at least have a few months to get used to the idea. Someone is smiling on us - and chuckling now as we run around like headless chickens... I practically had kittens when the word 'pregnant' appeared.

DulcetMoans · 01/08/2012 22:52

Another one! Gives me hope! Congrats. lime!!

threeleftfeet · 01/08/2012 22:48

limesoakedmadeleine is this your first?

SunshineOutdoors · 01/08/2012 22:46

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 01/08/2012 22:43

limesoaked congratulations

It is do good to see all the BFPs rolling in.

threeleftfeet · 01/08/2012 22:42

Congratulations limesoakedmadeleine! Grin Grin

limesoakedmadeleine · 01/08/2012 22:32

Sorry it's so late, I've only just had a chance to update. Congratulations Aufaniae, I can see that August is going to be a very lucky month since I'm quite definitely pregnant too! So say several different brands of pregnancy test, an uncharacteristic inability to sleep and an equally unusual distaste for food. Think it's mainly excitement rather than hormones. Could still murder a glass of wine though...

Good grief, I can't quite believe it. I know how very very lucky we are to get a BFP so soon - due to an illness DH had a couple of years ago we'd been told by the docs we were reasonably likely to have difficulties, so we're both a bit shell-shocked. He's alternating between hinting about fleeing the country and playing the ukulele to the embryo. Apparently I'm not allowed to mumsnet in bed with the computer on my tummy.

Wishing you all tons and tons of luck for the month ahead. A BFP for everybody! [salutes]

DulcetMoans · 01/08/2012 21:55

Yay! First BFP and only 1st Aug. Congrats auf

IBelieveInPink · 01/08/2012 20:15

Right, that's decided then. DH can have his way this cycle and we will just try and 'let the magic happen' (ahem) but next cycle,.... I'm getting me some sticks! Grin
