Hi ladies,

For those of us out of the July game there are not many places to hide so I thought I'd start a new August thread to give us all some positive vibes!

Cycle 3 - BFP August 6th

Hi woody!! I have everything crossed for you! Have fun with the SWI :)

woody17 · 07/08/2012 14:32

i have everything crossed for you jessie i really really hope you get a bfp.

When I tested the month I was pg, I didn't get a bfp until the day af was due.

I don't know if you've seen my other posts but I think I'm due to ov any time now (def in next couple of days) according to ov sticks and signs etc so am really hoping that I am lucky.

jessiethecowgirl · 07/08/2012 14:24

33andttc, I got pregnant the 1st time with dd ( who is now 1) after coming off of cerazatte. This most recent mc - cerazatte was not involved. When I fell pg with dd we decided to start ttc quite spontaneously so I stopped the pill mid cycle ( I was still kind of having periods). I think I got af after a few weeks, dont know if it was a real af, then we fell pregnant that next cycle.

Yes I always "prop up" with a pillow after dtd, don't know if that helps or not!

It's 11dpo from when I think I ov'd. I'm a poas addict so have done 2 already. Obviously bfn. Going to try to hold out now till Friday. Have a number of "symptoms" but that may just be wishful thinking :)

worriedmum100 · 07/08/2012 14:22

If I'm not pg this month then cheap tests from Amazon seems to be the way to go - I am spending a fortune!!!

woody17 · 07/08/2012 14:18

worriedmum I'm exactly the same - I'm rubbish at waiting. Or at least I am since mc.

I found for me that CB Digital were the most sensitive. But it seems to be different for different people. A few people on here have said that they find super drug the most sensitive...

I think I'll be 10dpo next Sunday so I will probably end up testing then! I have got some very very very cheap tests from the internet so may end up testing with them before that.

worriedmum100 · 07/08/2012 14:11

Blush you name it I've used it..... FR, CB Digital, normal CB and Boots own.

I don't feel confident really. It's weird isn't it that you somehow think you're going to the one in a million person to test + at only 7 or 8 dpo!

With my mc before I conceived DS I got a BFP on day 32 so I don't know why I am so totally incapable of waiting until then!

woody17 · 07/08/2012 14:02

33andttc I just stay laying down for a while. I sometimes put a pillow underneath me to raise my hips a bit. I've read on here that some people but their legs up in the air and the feet pressed against a wall if that makes sense.

Your symptoms still sound promising worriedmum what brand of pg test have you been using?

33andTTC · 07/08/2012 13:49

Sorry JessieTheCowGirl, just been through another thread...hadn't realised you mc the post cerazette pg Sad. wouldn't hve mentioned if I did. Good luck this time round Blush

worriedmum100 · 07/08/2012 13:15

Hi again ladies

CD 28 here. Another BFN this morning ( I know I know I wasn't supposed to test until Friday...). Cycles are usually 31/32 days.

Have been looking back and think I Ovd around CD20. DTD on CD19 and CD21 but not sure it was enough. Will really have to get cracking next cycle if AF rears ugly head. DP is pleased to hear this...:)

Symptoms over this way include:

-knackered (but nothing unusual here)
-nipples still look a bit darker (probably imagination)
-shooting pains in boobs
-pulling pain in top of thighs

  • feeling quite nauseaous if I don't eat (as I said before - been fooled by this one in the past though)

GOD I HATE WAITING!!!!!!!!!! [bratty child emotion]

33andTTC · 07/08/2012 12:55

...another question... I'm so used to getting rid of his 'stuff' straight away but I would guess I should try and hang on to it? How long for? How am I supposed to do that? I must sound like such a numpty but it's all so new to me and don;t want to ask friends and that just puts pressure on us.

33andTTC · 07/08/2012 12:50

excuse spelling and grammar, typing blind as at work and minimised screen in case someone sneaks up behind me.

33andTTC · 07/08/2012 12:46

Hi WhenShe, that was last wednesday night (Aug 1st). We have done the deed on July 28th and again Aug 4th (weekend on bonking at the mo, need toget out of that habit I reckon if not lucky this time). I am also rather hungry all the time...? Dread taking my bra off at night as the 'drop' is quite painful! Smile. When do you think I am likely to axpect AF or BFP?

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 07/08/2012 12:33

Hi 33 the slimy cm sounds like extra wet cm (ewcm), you normally get this around ovulation. I also get very randy around ovulation do it all looks like a good sign your body is back to normal.

How many days has it been since the randy day?

33andTTC · 07/08/2012 12:04

hi all.

Late comer to this thread, hope it's OK to join the list?! I need some answers too!! Am a first timer! I stopped taking Cerazette on July 22nd 2012 to TTC. I'd been on combined pill for 12 years then got put on Cerazette in Jan 2012 cause of high blood pressure (so only been 6 months but not had proper period that whole time). Anyway, since coming off, have not had AF yet but... (TMI alert) ...day 6, started getting lots of CM which was 'slimey' on days 7-9 (did the deed on day 7) and was really randy day 10 :) haven't felt like that for MANY years but Fiance was ill on the sofa so
:(. I have had swollen boobs for the last week or so, itchy right nipple last couiple of days and weirdly had sensitive teeth. Can someone tell me if these symptoms are from coming off Cerazette or could I be ultra lucky and PG first cycle??!! I don;t know much about TTC so would appreciate any help as am 33 and soooo ready for BFP.

Thanks all. BTW Bold:JessieThe CowGirl would love to hear from you as same situation (hopefully).

woody17 · 07/08/2012 10:53

Glad you are feeling more +ve frustratedpants

frustratedpants · 07/08/2012 10:44

Hi, I think I'm back.

I've been told i'm good to go by my gynae, suspected polyp is not a polyp pain is just my endometriosis, and that pregnancy will help that, also okay to take my pain killers and instructions to go back on period stopping contraception after successful pg told "you can get pg any day during your cycle so dtd 2-3 times a week." take that at eod Wink

Now just have to hope my fasting blood tests that I have on Thursday come back okay.

But feeling more positive today, and hopefully our of COD for this cycle.

woody17 · 07/08/2012 10:05

3littlewoman tiredness was my first symptom - before I even knew I was pg so fx for you!

I wish I could manage not to get my hopes up so much but I find it impossible.

SunshineOutdoors · 07/08/2012 10:05

Can anyone help? Ff reckons I oved 7 days ago but my temp has dipped since then. Cm is definitely clearer than it was yesterday. Does that mean I might not have oved yet and it's coming up in next few days?

If so I'm ready to do what I need to do Grin

SunshineOutdoors · 07/08/2012 10:02

Sorry I'm feeling very negative at the moment. Got a bit of the 'it's never going to happen' mentality.

I'm sure I'll cheer up soon Wink a bfp would cheer me up very nicely thank you very much

SunshineOutdoors · 07/08/2012 10:01

I know what you mean Newbie I'm thinking negatively so a bfp will be a big surprise rather than a bfn being a big letdown.

Cd32 here... This time last cycle I was getting stupidly excited and starting to test. I'm not even sure if I've ovulated this time.

Hate hate hate having such long cycles.... It will be nearly two weeks before I test. It just feels like with a 6 week plus cycle I get less chances to get pg. If I miss this one I think my next chance will prob be October Sad

Newbie2 · 07/08/2012 07:40

Thanks WhenShe but I feel I need to prepare myself mentally as its going to be a big full into the pit this month Hmm

OP posts:
WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 07/08/2012 07:23

Don't right it off just yet. Most women don't feel pregnant at 8dpo. I didn't feel pregnant with dd till a few days after BFP and that was a change in sense of smell. The other typical symptoms took another week to kick in.

Newbie2 · 07/08/2012 07:05

Thanks WhenShe I don't feel at all pregnant though so i'm nearly positive it will be a BFN this weekend :(

OP posts:
WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 06/08/2012 22:53

3little I agree with the sense of smell thing being the first symptom. It is really odd having such a strong sense of smell.

newbie not sure about burning boobs. Mine are feeling v tingly at the moment 4dpo. Someone said aching boobs are caused by an increase in progesterone after you ovulate. It could still be a preg symptom though fx

3littlewomen · 06/08/2012 21:23

Hi ladies - thanx for the welcome Smile

Am feeling so so tired - which I hope is due to upcoming BFP - not ye olde age. Lovely DH has let me have a long sleep this evening - have just woken to 3 lovely clean, hair all washed DD. Bliss.

I have always found I never conceive when BF (have BF for 7 years altogether). I rarely have AF when feeding - and between this and the mirena I think I have had about 6 AF in the past 16 years Shock. I wouldn't rely on BF as contraception, though I do think your fertility is seriously reduced!

Love all the symptom spotting - believe its never to early - my first I started vomiting 7 days post DTD and carried on every morning for 7 months. Often sore boobs or a change in smell (DD2 refused to eat Chinese takeaway as I swear I could smell the person who cooked the rice was a smoker) is my first symptom - but it's being different each time....

Dread to think how much I have spent over the years on tests!,
