Am ttc db2 but still bfeeding dd (9mths) about once a day. No af since giving birth so no idea if ovulating etc but have just started using my isis scope (excellent gadget for ttc imo!) and have found fern patterns which indicate fertile period....and we bd last night!! Have loads of cm too which i think can mean ovulation??

Am well aware that i am setting myself up for a BIG fall but am v excited at the prospect that I am fertile again :-) Am assuming need to wait about 2 weeks to test but obviously as no af its hard to know (and hard to wait!!!)

Anyway wanted to share tmi with everyone in my excitement! Fingers crossed for a db due 23rd Nov 2006 :o :o :o :o

So sorry Buffy (((((hugs)))) Glad your dd is showering you with love. Doctors can be so hopeless. Hope you get news soon xx

Bobblehead you can ovulate without af - I found this by googling!

^"Can I ovulate without having a period?
Since a woman releases an egg 12-16 days before her expected period, it is possible for women to get pregnant without having periods. Women who are not menstruating due to a certain condition (i.e.…low body weight, breastfeeding, perimenopause) risk the chance of ovulating at any point. For those who want to conceive, the lack of periods could make it more difficult to know the timing of ovulation if you are not charting temperature and cervical fluid changes. But if you are not having periods and wanting to prevent pregnancy, a form of contraception should be used since there is no way to know when ovulation will occur."^

It probaby did Buffy. Apparently its very common to lose a pregnancy early, most people think it is af unless they have been ttc and tested early.
If this wasn't to be it is for a reason, so let yourself cry and grieve for it until you feel ready to try again. I'm sure lots of cuddles from your dd will help more than anything!

buffythenappyslayer · 07/03/2006 14:00

i keep thinking that maybe this has happened because it had something wrong with it.dd has cf,and i lost her twin at 12 weeks.i thought then that maybe it happened for that reason.

staceym11 · 07/03/2006 13:57

i acctually had a missed m/c a couple of months ago, it was traumatic but i think everything happens for a reason and you just have to look fwd!!!!

buffythenappyslayer · 07/03/2006 13:52

thanks stacey.i havent anyone to talk to,so its nice that people on here dont mind listening.i cant stop crying, and dd must be wondering why.shes been really loving today, and i feel so lucky to have her,and my other kids.

buffythenappyslayer · 07/03/2006 13:49

thanks bobblehead.i just wish i hadnt got so excited.dh said maybe test was wrong and that its just a period, but think hes just trying to make me feel better.gp didnt even take blood, which i thought she wouldve done to test hcg levels.i still want another baby,so will be trying again when this is all over Smile

staceym11 · 07/03/2006 13:49

oh buffy you dont know me but i just want to let you know you'v been heard, im so sorry for your loss, nothing ever seems to go smoothly. i hope your gp can be of more help when you go in friday.

*hugs**

bobblehead · 07/03/2006 13:46

Rubymummy- the worst thing is that still no af, which means I didn't even ov doesn't it? I was so sure this time as the cm was very "fertile"!!! (sorry tmi Blush)

bobblehead · 07/03/2006 13:43

Sad so sorry Buffy. Perhaps it is still within the normal realms of bleeding in early pregnancy. If not, I don't think you need to go into hospital if you are still very early on. I think nature will take its course. I'm so so sorry things aren't going as you hoped. I feel very selfish for being so disappoinnted with my bfn now. Really hope things work out for you. Please keep us posted. xx

buffythenappyslayer · 07/03/2006 13:00

hi guys,im abit Sad today.was really excited yesterday, and last night i had a bleed.rang nhs direct and they said normal to have spotting in early pregnancy.got up this morning and had alot more tahn spotting.went to see gp who said i could be having a natural miscarraige.i tested again last night and was still pos,but havent tested today again.got really bad pains aswell.gp said to let nature take its course, and i have to go back on friday.i just feel such an idiot for getting so excited yesterday.dd is giving me lots of cuddles and keeps wiping away my tears.what will happen now?i dont want to have to go into hospital.why wont/cant they do anything now instead of just letting me bleed like this?ive lost babies before, but was further on and had d&c first time and the last two i had were twin pregnancies and both times i lost one of the babies.i just feel so useless.sorry.

RubyMummy · 07/03/2006 10:25

Oh bobblehead :( baby dust for next time(month??)then. I am expecting the same tbh. Ferns have disappeared now so will wait a fortnight to test. Its even more frustrating having no af to plan things out by iykwim.

Glad you found other thread RedZ- isis scope is brill imo!
