HalleLouja · 22/11/2012 17:09

Well done baby fivealive!

UmBongo · 15/11/2012 12:43

Yoo- hoo! I'm here! I have a very sore heel, my doctor friend says it is Plantar Fasciitis - which I think is Latin for "Oh bugger that foot hurts" So running is off.

However dd [whispers] is drinking from a bottle!!!!! I even got a friend to come round after school drop off to give her a bottle and she still took 5oz. 3 weeks. But I think I may have won!

Goes off shouting Fairy, Fairy, Fairy. Has she buggered orf for some sunshine?

HalleLouja · 09/11/2012 08:28

Anyone there???

HalleLouja · 02/11/2012 08:50

Maybe try expressed milk to begin with as that is what she is used to. I used to express milk as she drank that better than formula and then drank cows milk at nursery when she was 11 months and I couldn't be arsed to express.

HalleLouja · 02/11/2012 08:48

I never had the patience. Can't you try her on a cup? Some people avoid bottles and go straight to cups. Dd loves cups as that is what DS drinks out of. she splutters the milk out of her milk when I give her a cup of milk. She will take milk from cups when I am not around and has done since 9 months when she went to nursery.

UmBongo · 01/11/2012 22:33

Congratulations Lou! Well done you! I have finished week 4 and have a sore heel. Not sure if I am going straight into week 5, may have to give it a few extra days off. Pants.

Dd has now got to the stage this morning where she is willing to tolerate the teat in her mouth, but I think we are a long way from her working out to actually suck and swallow the sodding milk! (I am not really getting anywhere am I?)

HalleLouja · 01/11/2012 21:27

Am officially a couch to 5k graduate [hgrin]. Haven't got to 5k running but can run for 30 minutes and not a million miles off.

HalleLouja · 26/10/2012 13:39

Well done with the running. I am doing my last run tonight.

You don't need to be sorry. Its all just a blur and DD loves milk and this is probably my last baby. It does get better but its personal choice and 6 months is far more than the average joe.

UmBongo · 26/10/2012 13:22

Am winning with the running though, just done w4r1 and it didn't rain on me. Hooray.

I wouldn't mind carrying on feeding, but I am feeding every night from about 7.30 til 9.30 with a short break in the middle for a nappy change and pyjamaring and changing boob. I want my evenings back. Sorry.

HalleLouja · 26/10/2012 12:27

Still feeding at 17 months here. Kind of want to quit but not enough to do anything about it..

Number 3 is not completely written off but not really in the running. I am getting keener DH is getting less keen.

UmBongo · 26/10/2012 10:29

Aaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhh

Not winning currently. Sad

UmBongo · 25/10/2012 12:15

Yes, we've got the nuk bottles, I even bought latex teats as someone somewhere said something about them working for them! However, this morning she did take a few small sucks, and even swallowed a bit of milk before dribbling the rest out of the side of her mouth! Looking at the bottle now - I think a whole ounce is missing (nearly) and the bib and cloth were a lot less wet! I am not sure how I am going to cope over half term as this mornings palaver went on till about 11, although I suppose I won't have the school run to do (and car to take to garage, and playgroup to set up) like I did this morning! Note to dd MUMMY WILL WIN. [hsmile] If I was a witch though, I could put a spell on her. Hmph.[henvy]

Number 3 Lemony!!!! Not round here, I am already ancient! Good luck. No queue jumping though, FairyG is next in line.

Icedlemonmuffin · 24/10/2012 14:53

Umbongo mini muffin was exactly the same, you'd of thought I was trying to attack her not just give her a bottle! The one bottle she didn't seem to mind was the nuk bottle.

Dd2 had four teeth by six months and when she did bite I think my screams scared her into stopping.

Your not a bad mummy six months bf is fantastic (and alot of hard work) I wanted to quit a lot of times, especially when it was three in the morning, but we got to fourteen months.

Big waves to everyone else.

Dh is talking about when to try for no 3!

UmBongo · 24/10/2012 13:02

Just done week 3 run 3 Whoopee! Did 5 minutes on the last run not 3 as well, so feeling a bit like a girly swot. (sweaty swot)

In other news, dd is six months on saturday! I am trying to get her to drink from a bottle and struggling. Have tried 3 bottles and 4/5 different teats. If any milk does make it into her mouth, she just dribbles it out again. But this morning there was less screaming so hopefully sometime in the next 2 weeks [hhmm] she will actually drink out of the bloody thing. She has teeth and sometimes uses them. I want to QUIT! [Bad selfish mummy emoticon]

UmBongo · 21/10/2012 22:40

Managed a run on Thursday and yesterday, so not too bad. Up to week 3 run 1 now.

How you doing Fairy? Have you got a date yet? Good luck :)

Lemony - get your bike out if you can't run, although you may need a trailer - which does add to the workload a bit (!)

HalleLouja · 17/10/2012 21:14

I was happy to go today and ended up napping with DS instead. Whoops.

UmBongo · 17/10/2012 21:11

Hmm, not going well this week, haven't run since saturday. Will have to go out tomorrow, I hope Miss has a nap at a convenient time.

UmBongo · 14/10/2012 22:22

Wow! Week 8, how long is that 28 mins? My running speed is not fast, I believe I was overtaken by a lame snail yesterday. That was week 2 run 2. Need to stop eating the chocolate next, I am weaning myself off it though. Start weight, just under 14st. (I haven't even told dh that!) First target 12st, then we'll see.

HalleLouja · 14/10/2012 10:14

How are you all?

Am doing my last run of week 8 later. Not sure how I got that far but seems to be working. Though not getting very far.

UmBongo · 09/10/2012 18:03

Congratulations Bethnick! Welcome to the park!
